Traveling to Qingdao with my child, I booked a hotel near Zhanqiao Pier for easy access. The hotel itself is good, not far from Metro Lines 1 and 3. Across the street, there's KFC, Mixue Ice Cream & Tea, a Qingdao cuisine restaurant, and a breakfast place. I booked a basic room, which was quite small. Perhaps because it was peak season and near a tourist spot, the price was more than double what I've paid at other Hanting Hotels. My room was on the first floor, behind the front desk, so it could get a bit noisy with guests coming and going from the front desk around 10-11 PM. The washing machine and dryer were very practical; I could get my laundry done in an hour and scan a QR code for status updates. The lounge area offered complimentary tea and bottled water, and there were several beautiful koi fish. Both the front desk staff and the security guard were very friendly.

I booked this hotel because I was taking my kids to school. It was a nice hotel with views of the city, mountains, and ocean. I'd definitely stay there again. When I checked out at 5 a.m., it started raining, so I drove to the entrance to pick up my kids. The security guard wouldn't let me stop. I explained it was raining, but that didn't stop me. I was so angry that morning.

The service here is amazing, and we were so pleasantly surprised by how generous and kind the staff were.We arrived a few hours early and the staff said that not only could we leave our suitcase and bags there, but they would take it up to our room for us. The woman with glasses (I’m sorry we didn’t ask for your name) was very attentive and also gave us lots of recommendations for things to do and restaurants. In the evening the staff provided free fruit to snack on, which was a very nice touch. The room was a good size with a comfortable but firm tatami bed. The sheets and towels were clean, and room cleaning took place every day. The rooms are simple but great for what we needed. The staff said we could change our room if it wasn’t to our liking but we were very satisfied with what we had. At times other visitors were a bit noisy but that’s to be expected when travelling with children. There were no major disturbances and the environment was very good. Overall I would really recommend this location! If we return to Qingdao we will definitely book this hotel again.

For a pet-friendly hotel, this price point offers decent value. The front desk lady was very friendly and always smiling. However, the facilities are a bit hard to comment on. Especially in the bathroom, the toilet seat fell off when I lifted it, so I had to put it back on 🥲. The shower head looked like it had two parts, a large and a small one. The large one was broken, and water sprayed out from the edge of the shower plate, which was quite startling. The handheld shower head below could only be held, as it would slide down if I tried to attach it. I spent 10 out of 30 minutes of my shower battling with the shower head 🤣, it was ridiculous! Also, there's no full-length mirror or clothes rack, which was quite inconvenient, but at least there's a hairdryer.

The service was amazing and the hotel feels like you are getting your money's worth. Its really clean and especially the free transport to the airport was top notch, they're flexible about your schedule so you don't need to worry. The receptionist even gave me a bread after i arrived late at night 😋 10/10 would book again if i need a place near the airport (the only minus is that its 600m from the bus station other than that no other complain)

Choosing The Lalu Qingdao truly offers a romantic seaside vacation experience. 🌊 This hidden gem of a hotel, nestled on the Huangdao Peninsula, is surrounded by the sea on three sides. Its architectural design is minimalist yet infused with an oriental charm. The lobby, corridors, and tea pavilions are all incredibly photogenic. The rooms are impressively spacious, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the entire sea view indoors. In the morning, drawing back the curtains reveals a stunning sea sunrise, and at night, you fall asleep to the sound of the waves – the ambiance is absolutely perfect. The hotel amenities are excellent. The private beach is quiet and uncrowded, and the cliffside pool offers breathtaking views. Taking a stroll by the sea in the evening, feeling the sea breeze, is incredibly stress-relieving. The service provided by the staff (Wanwan) was attentive without being overly enthusiastic, and any requests were handled promptly and appropriately. Escaping the city's exhaustion and slowing down to embrace the sea here was an incredibly comfortable stay. I will definitely prioritize staying here again on my next trip to Qingdao.

First, the good points - Room & Location: The room and location are totally worth it. If you're a foreigner like me, it might be a little hard to get there. But once you arrive and see the view and the room, it's absolutely worth it. -Service: The male staff at the restaurant is very polite, quick, polite warm and thoughtful. · The driver and the auntie at the restaurant are very warm and friendly. Now, what needs improvement The front desk female staff came across as unprofessional. I booked a 45-minute singing bowl session starting at 12:15, and then booked a photographer for 13:00. But at 12:48, the front desk lady called me and even called the singing bowl teacher — while my session was still going on. I think this is basic knowledge for front desk staff: a singing bowl session requires a calm, quiet environment, and my session hadn't even ended yet — it wasn't time for the photographer. After my session ended and I could finally check my phone, But when I got to the front desk, The photographer already left because he was in a hurry. But he arrived at 12:45 — and then said he was in a hurry? The front desk staff's poor coordination not only ruined my need for a peaceful healing session, but also made the hotel's ”photographer service” gift completely useless. At first I thought I would come back to stay here again. But after this experience of inefficient coordination, I'll really have to reconsider whether I want to stay here next time.
