We totally recommend this hotel. It's in a beautiful old building, very well preserved and refurbished, and in a great location: in the Xidi old town, but a little bit more isolated, in the more quiet and less touristy area. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very stylish, it even had a tiny annexed studio room with desk and interesting books with a good kettle and tea set available. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a very nice bathtub and heated toilet. Our host was super nice and helpful, he came to pick us up and dropped us at the bus station at the end of our stay. He's really friendly and gave us some nice tips on visiting the surrounding villages. He has a very cute dog and a cuddly cat :) Only negative comment: the room's window is on the side of the main road, so you can hear all the cars passing by. But even then, a great stay!

Waking up to birdsong in the morning, watching the sunset paint the white walls and black tiles in the evening, even the air is filled with the fragrance of grass and trees~ The guesthouse itself is in the Huizhou style, with banana trees and bamboo in the courtyard, stone paths adorned with bamboo lanterns. Sitting down for a cup of tea, you feel as if you've stepped into an ancient painting, all your restlessness melting away in this tranquility~ 🤵 Service: A heartwarming feeling of ”being at home” The receptionist's smile is like the warm autumn sun! During check-in, she not only explained in detail the hidden gems of the guesthouse (such as the best time to stargaze from the terrace), but also thoughtfully gave me a hand-drawn ”Hongcun Food Map”~ Wanting some hot water in the middle of the night, I rang the bell and it was brought to me instantly, with an extra blanket and the question, ”Are you cold?”—these details of ”treating guests like family” truly touch the heart! 🛋️ Facilities: A Comforter's Paradise The bed in the room was just the right firmness; lying on it felt like sinking into a cloud, and I slept soundly until dawn (a dream come true for night owls!). The air conditioning, water heater, and Wi-Fi were all rock solid, so there was no worry about power outages or internet disruptions. The common areas were also a big plus! The tea room had an old elm wood tea table, and the book bar was filled with local cultural books. Even just relaxing or flipping through a book made for a truly relaxing vacation. I was so satisfied with my stay! I've already added this guesthouse to my ”must-visit” list and recommended it to friends planning a trip to Hongcun. ”You won't understand until you've stayed here; it truly means 'living amidst the scenery and enjoying it to your very core'!” ✨

I can't recommend Muhua Hotel in Hongcun highly enough. I had an absolutely wonderful stay. The manager and staff were so friendly, accommodating, helpful, and hospitable that it truly felt like home from the moment I arrived. Every need was met with warmth and a smile, making me feel like family rather than just a guest. With its spotless charm and such genuine care, this hotel is a true gem. Thank you to the entire team. I will definitely stay here again.

Such a fantastic place to stay in this magical village… we felt extremely welcomed since our arrival, the room was so tidy and comfy with all the amenities you could wish for. The breakfast was delicious with attention to all the details including making their own soy milk. We also had dinner there on our last night and the food was nothing short of a fancy restaurant but with the care of a homemade meal. I will never forget my time here… the village is also one of the most magical places I had the chance to visit. The staff helped us get a taxi to our next destination, they were really nice people and we wish to visit them again someday. Thank you!

I came to Hongcun with some friends, and after checking online, I decided to book this guesthouse. Facilities: Very new, looks like it was just renovated. Cleanliness: All rooms were very clean and odorless. Environment: The surrounding area is quite quiet, and most importantly, it's very close to the Hongcun scenic area, which is very convenient. A very good experience, I would definitely book this place again if I have the chance to come back.

Location: The location is at the west gate of the scenic spot. It takes three minutes to walk to the scenic spot. There is a supermarket at the door, as well as a burger shop and a noodle shop. Service: We came from Huangshan Scenic Area, so we called the boss in advance. The boss helped me arrange a carpool, thirty-one people, and the car was delivered to the Ximen parking lot. After arriving, the boss arranged for a boy to ride a sightseeing car to pick us up. Let's go When the time came, the little brother also sent us to the carpooling point, and the service was perfect. Decoration: Very charming, with a tea room, the room is very good, fully intelligent, the bedding is good, and the mattress is from Jin Koer. Overall: Warm service, highly recommended

Beautiful house located in a quiet part of the ancient village. As you’ll read in many reviews, the host provides excellent service, and I felt like I was meeting a friend. He took me to and from the gate of the village to the house and helped me carry my luggage. He also helped me arrange a ride back to the train station - there were some issues and he took the time to sort it out with the drivers on my behalf, which was above and beyond. The host and I talked about traveling and I could tell he was someone who was genuine and wanted to be as helpful as possible. The room is beautiful with huge windows and lots of thoughtful details. I had wonderful rests here while it was too hot outside. From the window you can see some rooftops of Hui architecture. The village isn’t big, so all the sights are nearby

The inn is located next to the red poplar trees at the entrance to the scenic village. The innkeeper was very welcoming and attentive, even going to the parking lot she had pre-designated to pick up our luggage and elderly guests. Her husband is a chef, and his local specialties, like stinky mandarin fish, are incredibly delicious. She also recommends her friends to stay here.

A fantastic guesthouse with excellent value for money. The decor is classic and elegant, and it even has a Luohan bed, which I love. The location is superb, directly opposite the West Gate 2, just a 100-meter walk from the Hongcun scenic area. It's surrounded by restaurants and snack shops, making it incredibly convenient. The cleanliness was generally satisfactory, the price was reasonable, and the owner was warm and attentive. I stayed a few more days because of this. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit Hongcun.
