Pet Friendly Hotels in Rome

The breakfast was plentiful, the room was clean, had a safe, and was elegantly decorated. However, the air conditioning system didn't heat; guests checking in after mid-November and those who are sensitive to the cold should consider this. I woke up freezing at night and had to get out of bed to put on thermal underwear/add a spare blanket to feel warmer. I stayed in room 201, which had a bad location; the window faced a wall with black pipes, which was visually unpleasant.

I liked the hotel. The location is great: it's on the outskirts of the city, but it's in a very nice area. The train and metro stations are within walking distance, and there are buses stopping right next to the hotel, making it easy to get to the historic city center. The staff is very friendly. The room is clean and very comfortable. There's a small refrigerator in the room. The breakfast is very generous and delicious. And the coffee is simply excellent.

As always, this hotel is a sure bet. The staff are kind and professional, and the breakfast is superb. Both the breakfast and restaurant staff are always attentive and courteous. Dinner was very good, even though we arrived late due to a train delay. The only minor issues I found were in the room: the terrace door didn't close properly, and the kettle wasn't working. These are minor problems that shouldn't exist given the hotel's nightly rate and they did impact my overall rating, which otherwise would have been absolutely excellent. Nevertheless, we were very satisfied this time as well.

The Room & Atmosphere While the location shines, the accommodations are more modest. The rooms are basic and definitely feel a bit worn out, reflecting an older style of Roman hospitality. One thing to keep in mind is the sound insulation; the walls and ceilings are quite thin, meaning you can easily hear neighbors in the hallway or footsteps from the floors above. If you’re a light sleeper, earplugs are a must. Dining Breakfast is a reliable, typical Italian spread. You can expect a variety of pastries, breads, and preserves, complemented by solid juices and a quality cappuccino to start your morning. It’s simple, sweet, and classic. Service The staff is a major plus. The front desk is accommodating and helpful, always ready to assist with questions or directions. Their welcoming attitude goes a long way in making up for the hotel’s older infrastructure. The Bottom Line: Hotel Villa delle Rose is a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize transportation links and friendly service over modern luxury. It’s a ”no-frills” spot that serves as a convenient gate-way to Rome and beyond.

Ok for the price, near public transport, easy for travel, the room is old, Air Con. was too loud. The blanket is not clean (The brown one), but the white one is ok The Breakfast was very very great!!!!

The room was newly renovated in 2026, exceptionally clean and tidy, and the bed and bedding were very comfortable. There's a basement level for luggage storage where you can set your own password, which is very secure and convenient. The front desk staff were very warm and attentive, guiding us on places to visit. What's even more convenient is that the hotel is very close to Termini Station; you can take the direct train from the airport to the hotel. Highly recommended!

The room is clean, people are very comfortable, good breakfast! The hotel is antique but they have been well treated, inside the bathroom finds the toothpaste, dental stick, soap, etc. There is no mini bar. The night is very quiet. The area near the University, there are restaurants, bars, supermarkets, very easy to add to the bus, metro. Excellent quality- price, I advise you!

Good location. Nearby is the tram station to Colesseum. Multiple grocery stores and lidl, Macdonalds few minutes away. Located opposite to the hospital so you can hear ambulances most of the time. Express check-in by the receptionist. Hot water available 24 hours by the reception staff who was very helpful all the time. Rooms were cleaned up everyday. Liked the rooms and toilets which were clean and well managed. Wifi is fast. Good breakfast, loved it. Lovely stay, recommended to everyone.

This was the first hotel I stayed at during my trip to Italy. The ”mountain lodge” was actually just a series of small wooden cabins, each containing only a bed and basic bedding. The shared bathroom and toilet were a 100-meter walk away, and the reception desk was 200 meters away. Aside from a pizzeria and a T-bone steakhouse, there were no other shops nearby, requiring a 2-kilometer walk. Although the lodge offered one shuttle bus each morning and evening, getting around was extremely inconvenient unless you had your own car. When I arrived, a local Italian gentleman was dropping someone off. Thinking I was using a ride-hailing service and asking for a price, he simply asked my destination and took me there for free. I don't know how I would have gotten there without meeting him; I was incredibly grateful. I strongly advise against travelers staying at this lodge, as transportation and dining options are extremely inconvenient.
