"I highly recommend Villa Dafne. Beautifully rustic; the cuisine is excellent, and the grounds are gorgeous. Hotel management and staff could not be friendlier or more fun. The cooking class with Giuseppe and chef Morella should not be missed."
"What a lovely suprise.
Nestled in such beautiful surroundings, atmosphere was unique.
We arrived late and were hungry, they helped us with a very nice cheese platter and local wine, a must try.
Room was great, clean and comfortable.
Would clearly go back were we to come to Cefalu area again"

Great
Cchaoping shaoThe staff are very enthusiastic and will give detailed introductions. We stayed in a 6-person room. The beds looked very comfortable and the sanitation was very good. There is a door that leads directly to the terrace where you can chat and rest. Next to the reception is the bar, which is quite lively. The location is actually very good, because the city is not big, it is actually quite convenient to walk to various places, it is also very safe, and it is near the port.
WWatcherHotel's location is a convenient short walk to the old town. The in-hotel free parking is a bonus if you book a Classic Room. Room is clean but small, and can be a squeeze if you have big luggages. The only hotel I came across in all my years of travel that does not provide a kettle, and charges for a bottle of water. They might as well charge for the toilet paper. Petty, penny wise and pound foolish! Even if you ask to borrow one, there was none. They charges €2.50 for a 500ml bottle of water, more than 7x what you get from the supermarket. And there is no price list in the minibar. We were charged €7.50 for just one bottle consumed, mistaking the additional charges for tourist taxes. Consolation: Breakfast is good though.
GGuest UserVery modern and clean hotel. We travelled via train from Palermo to Campofelice and called the hotel for a hotel which cost €10. Hotel staff were super friendly and helpful even though their English was limited. Food was very good standard, bar had variety of good hot/cold drinks and cocktails. Beach is very pebbly so would advise swimming shoes, however water was clean and not too salty and lots of sun-beds on the beach. Pool was very clean and background music was very calming. Rooms were very clean with mini fridge, tv, hairdryer and air-con, however the hotel did not have an iron so make sure you bring one with you if you need. WiFi was strong around all around the hotel. Would definitely recommend.
JJoUsed the hotel for a short stop before heading back to the airport. Excellent location but pictures make it look a lot better than it is. It was clean and functional but no warmth. Breakfast was good. Only scrambled eggs for hot option, but lots of croissants, muffins, cereal etc.
if you just want somewhere to get your head down for a couple of nights it’s great. Wouldn’t stay longer than that.
GGuest UserTHIS WAS THE BEST CHOICE I DID IN SICILY.
First, this is the cleanest place I saw in my trip. They ask you every morning if you want a cleaning when they bring you breakfast. The bathroom/shower room is modern and same as the picture. The body soap, shampoo, conditioner was a Sicily one that was very nice of them. The public space was so good, they had balcony so it would be great to take pictures for instagram.
Secondly, the breakfast. Insanely great. You can choose 2 things from about 15 types of dishes such as sandwiches or yogurt or fruits. For drink you can pick 1 from about 15 types such as cappuccino or hot chocolate. They have milk choices like oat milk and almond milk that is amazing in this price. For spread, you can choose 2 from about 10 types such as honey or Nutella or almond butter or many flavors of jam. For a dessert, you can choose a cake from 2 or 3 types they have that day. You can choose where you want to eat room or public space.
Thirdly, the staffs were a lot more kind and friendly then the average of sicily.
Nice place absolutely recommend!!
GGuest UserI took the bus from the airport to Politeama and walked to the hotel.
Palermo has a convenient bus service so I bought an unlimited bus ticket for the duration of my stay.
The bus stop was close to the hotel so it was convenient.
The hotel is old and feels a bit old, but it wasn't a problem.
The room was spacious and had a balcony, which was nice.
There was a variety of fruit available at breakfast, which was nice.
If I were to order anything from the hotel, I would like the minibar to be emptied.
In particular, the peanuts in the minibar were dried out and the packaging had come off, so I wondered if they had been touched by something in there.
Overall I am satisfied.
GGuest UserThe hotel was not obvious for us - when we arrived, we drove around for about 10 minutes looking for a sign before parking on the wrong side of the road, and having to call for instructions. It was our fault, as the hotel tried contacting us earlier in the day but we did not have signal to take the call. Once we were instructed to the right place, it was super straightforward as Gianluca buzzed us in remotely, and upon verifying ID, let us into the unit and our bedroom. The lift in the building was super cool - for this experience alone I recommend staying in this hotel.
The room was charming. Our previous hotel was a suite so this felt a bit small, but it was homely all the same. The small downside was how warm it felt in the room. The air conditioning wouldn't work with the windows open, but it wasn't running very strong. At night, we preferred keeping the window open for some fresh air instead. The poster bed added a quaint and romantic feel to the room, and we were absolutely spoilt with a surprise of a bottle of Prosecco as a gift! Of course, the highlight of the whole place was the jacuzzi in the bathroom. As we both had to do some work and also were tired from a road trip, all of these little touches made the stay in this hotel incredibly luxurious for us. I really recommend this place for a romantic getaway or a honeymoon.
DDavidThe large hotel is really impressive. 14 floors, we were on the 7th. The service is very nice and helpful and for some reason uses technology from the 70s. But hey, it works. Unfortunately the roof terrace was closed in February.
It was always clean inside, it was cleaned daily. The furnishings are also a bit older, but functional. We really enjoyed our stay!
The hotel is unfortunately a bit further out. With Uber it costs €20 to get to the city center, a 10-minute ride. A taxi cost us €25. The fares are a bit stupid. The bus is better for around three euros a day and also a 15-20-minute ride. There is a supermarket opposite the hotel, nice cafes and pubs. Unfortunately this part of the city is a bit dirty. But if that doesn't bother you, you'll find an affordable hotel with good service here.
JJessica AnneMy room was in the basement, and the first floor (seemed like maybe staff moving furniture around?) was very noisy after midnight. Lots of footsteps, talking, and the sound of moving furniture. It went on for hours both nights. I was also woken up at 8am my first day by someone knocking on my door. I assume it was the maid, but i can’t be sure. It was way too early to expect to be able to clean a room.
The bed was hard and creaky (there were three beds in my room, not sure why as I booked a room with a single queen bed) with no real blanket. It was fairly clean, though there was some hair in the sink and shower that did not belong to me. The shower was the biggest problem as it was a fairly narrow stall shower, and the drain needs to be cleaned out - the shower flooded after just a few minutes. The furniture is all very old, and the lighting in the room was incredibly dim. It did not feel inviting or look anything like the pictures in the listing.
The location is nearly an hour’s walk from Palermo Centrale and in another direction, nearly an hour’s walk from the Palazzo Butera. Unless you just want to visit the beach, it is not convenient at all. Even just buying water was a chore with the closest shop being about a quarter mile away.
The city tax listed on Trip is incorrect. You will need to pay three euros per day.
Overall, I would not stay here again.
