Holiday Club Sol Amadores

Had an excellent time at this lovely hotel. Rooms were fabulous, very clean and comfortable. Made such a difference to our holiday to have a lovely comfortable bed to sleep in after a lot of walking! Great walks to all surrounding areas and lovely little pool that the kids enjoyed where you can buy snacks and ice creams etc. Staff were helpful and there is an onsite shop to pick up bread and munchies for the room! Would definitely come back here it was a great hotel!

This place can not be faulted. Fantastic rooms, pool, gym, mini golf, etc etc. Some reviews are correct, a car or taxi is needed if you don't want the 5 to 20 min walk to Europa where bars and restaurants are. Still does not deserve the bad reviews. Staff are so good and the place is so clean. Total value for money.

This review is only based on the fact that 6 days prior to traveling, Holiday Club decided to change which resort I was staying at. I was moved to a resort I would not have book, into a room that was damp and had never seen the sun, the room had a sliding patio door as the only entry and exit from the room, almost directly onto the street, to say it was a security issue would be understating the issue. This is really a warning to anyone else considering staying here, you can book this restore but there is absolutely no guarantee that this is where you will be staying, it appears to be a regular occurrence from this company, you have absolutely no come back at such short notice. They come across like this is perfectly acceptable behaviour. Personally, I will never book any of their resorts again.

Nothing to do , no entertainment at all . Pool bar is the only bar and that closed at 6pm .It’s great if you want to get away from everyone and everything. Not enough sunbeds for the amount of people. The resort is quite a walk to the beach and back . Amadores doesn’t have much to do on an evening so you need a car or taxi . The apar**ent is well equipped and nice enough.The pool and sunbeds could do with a good jet wash !!!

We stayed in a two bed apar**ent that was well kitted out with two bathrooms, air con throughout and with a massive outdoor terrace with sofa and chairs, large dining table and chairs, four sun beds and a big hot tub (that our grandson used as his personal swimming pool). The staff were very helpful and dealt with any minor issues quickly. The on site shop sells groceries and cold drinks etc. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

The location could be a bit challenging for some but the staff have made our holiday. We had an unexpected crisis and the staff helped to solve our problems. We can’t fault them. The resort has great views but limited facilities with only a snack bar that closes at 6. For anyone with mobility issues there are no eating places within easy walking distance. However, taxis are numerous and not too expensive. The rooms are very clean and apart from some disappointing chipped mugs, reasonably well kitted out. This is our second stay at the resort and it may well not be the last.

Wonderful stay at Amadores, once we found it! Easy walking distance to beach for those fit enough, although there is a courtesy bus too. We had a lovely big unit with two balconies and no one overlooking us, which was wonderful! We also hired a car and ventured out. Puerto de Mogan a must and a drive through Mogan up to Mirador del Balcón and nearby beach was wonderful too. Gorgeous beach and crystal clear waters. Monday was our favourite pool day as the beach bar was closed and it was us with 4 others sharing the pool! Wonderful…I’d return (if I could guarantee our room again)!

Good friendly service from all staff. Good housekeeping service. Air condition in apar**ent a saviour. Snack bar food and service very good by 2 ladies plus chef. BBQ one night good. Pity the snack bar does not to service Don’t do service after 18.00

Due to a late flight delay we arrived at the resort 7th May 1am, we had been assigned room 401. On entering the apar**ent there was a distinctive very strong musty smell throughout the rooms. On awaking the following morning even with doors open the strong smell was still apparent and unbearable. On further investigation due to a weak air flow from the air conditioning during the night and with us suffering with headaches and respiratory issues it became obvious that the air conditioning wall units in the lounge and bedroom was contaminated with a heavy mould growth flying out odour and spore dust deposits. We contacted your receptionist at the resort with the issue of the bad odour that had infected all the furniture and curtains with dust debris, also with the health implication concern and with our clothing now also being contaminated we asked to be moved to another apar**ent, the response was that due to it being a Sunday they were unable to resolve the matter until the following day (Monday) as would need management authorization to do so and advised us to contact reception again the next day therefore again having to endure another uncomfortable night. A maintenance man was sent in to the room promptly to try and clean the air conditioning but failed to make any impact. On the Monday with the consequential disappoin**ent and loss of enjoyment over the two days we suffered, reception called to say we could now move to room 805, this turned out to be a much cleaner room as per expected. We was also advised going forward that room 401 was now closed off and would be repaired and deep cleaned. We should have never been put in this apar**ent as not fit to occupy with serious health implications of head aches and breathing difficulties. After complaining in writing the response was apologetic, however poor, basically was told to put up and shut up.
