It was a bit cold when we arrived at night. There was an old-fashioned fireplace in the room, but it was useless. Mainly, it wasn't that cold yet. The hotel room faced the Pacific Ocean, and the scenery the next morning was beautiful. Very close to Herts Castle and the place to see elephant seals.

The room is a bit old, but the staff who received the check-in were very friendly. The scenery and location of the hotel are very good. There is a walrus beach 10 minutes away by car, where you can see a large walrus.

We had a very pleasant stay in this beautiful hotel...perfect for visiting Hearst Castle. The property was clean, quiet, with comfortable beds and pillows. Highly recommended!

Anniversary trip until couple down stair started actually fist fighting. Called manager and nothing was done about it. Up all night listening to people fight. Second night the same couple was still there. Ruined our Anniversary. The tv was snowy couldn’t see the screen the fridge stopped working alone with 2 outlets. Maintenance came but didn’t fix it. Told front desk about the stay and the reaction was “Oh sorry”.
$800.00 for two. Nights of fighting. So so disappointing. What a horrible reaction from staff. Waited to stay until our 30th Anniversary for us to listen to drunks fight !!!

Beautiful location and not crazy expensive. Restaurant on site has good food. Room was clean and well kept. Fireplaces inside and fire pits outside were so nice to use. Would definitely stay here again.
