Family Friendly Hotels in Sanya

I had such a great experience at this hotel in Sanya! The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach and surrounded by all the spots you’d want to explore. The pool was super nice, perfect for chilling when you don’t feel like heading to the ocean. The best part? I got upgraded to a better room by the sweetest receptionist ever, Xiaojing 小静 (seriously, she’s the best!). The upgraded room had the most stunning beach view—I didn’t want to leave! If you’re looking for a spot with amazing vibes and top-notch service, this is it. Can’t wait to come back!

We've stayed at pearl river garden for 3 nights, overall, we have enjoyed our stay. Everyone at the hotel are so friendly and welcoming from the day we arrived. (Which we value this more than anything) Special shout out to Jim, who has made the stay very memorable. The room is clean, though not very spacious, but it was ok for us, a family of four. Great location, probably one of the best locations in the area, easy access to the beach, very family friendly. The only drawback, if there is any, would be the pungent smell that hits me every time I walk in the room, I'm guessing it's the cleaning chemical they use around the hotel rooms. All in all, Thank you Jim and everyone in the hotel for looking after us during the stay, will definitely recommend anyone who wishes to stay in the area. This is a geniuen review made after the departure (not some awkward on the spot review). I hope this is useful to others.

I stayed for 2 nights with 5 couples, each in separate rooms. The location is excellent—close to the beach, shopping centers, and restaurants. The rooms and public areas were clean and well-maintained. The pool was fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. However, there was some confusion about the pool closing time. The sign said it closes at 12 PM, but the lifeguards instructed us to leave by 10 PM. The security was impressive; access to each level required a room card, ensuring privacy and safety. The employees were incredibly kind, and I’d like to extend a special thanks to the housekeeping team. Tim at the front desk was especially helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this place!

Service of the hotel was very good even though they don’t speak English, they assist you through translation app willing to help. Especially person on the front desk helped us a lot. Food is delicious, rich variety. Room is clean. You can walk to the beach. It takes 5-10 mins. It’s near to the summer and pineapple malls. There is a free shuttle bus to duty free mall. You can take info from the front desk. We enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast is great with variety of buffet line esp cheese and western breakfast. Hotel is close to dadonghai beach, 5 minutes walk and beside hotel is a shopping mall having food market in the night. Room is beautiful , only bathtub is outside the btahroom which may not be functionally conveneint.

Thanks to Butler Wendy who is helpful in helping us upgrade to a Bigger and Better Sea View Apartment. It comes with a bathtub on the balcony. We just arrived at the hotel (after a red eye flight), she recommended a Coconut Chicken Hot pot next to the hotel and even brought us there. She constantly checks in with us to ensure that our stay is comfortable. Pros: 1. The location is convenient near the Sanya City so traveling around for food and attractions is easy with DiDi (taxi). 2. The bed is comfy. The apartment comes with a washing machine, fridge and induction cooker (but may have to ask them for the pots) 3. Breakfast is a good spread with Chinese and Western food options. Most importantly, breakfast time is till 1 pm. Cons: 1. Wifi is very very weak, and can't be used at all. And being a tourist (foreigner) we have to use our precious data roaming. 2. There is no chair and table at the balcony which does not allow us to sit and relax at the balcony. 3. The Swimming pool strangely is located outside of the hotel in a public space. So it feels weird going down for a swim. 4. There is no beach front but there is a beautiful pathway leading to Phoenix Island, so the walking and jogging is pleasant.

As always Sunshine Resort in Sanya is like a home always from home...but with better cooking :) From the warm welcome from Vanessa at the front desk...to all the cleaners, wait staff and pool staff..you are treated as a valued visitor. It is great to see the extra loung chairs at the pool and on the property above the beach and chairs and umbrellas on the beach...well done. A big benefit is the newly developed bosrdwalk that goes the entire lenght of the beach with plenty of food and drink. Also....although I do not have kids here..they always have entertainment on the holidays for the young ones. I will always return the the special...”Sunshine” in Sanya

Ocean Sonic Resort was an absolute delight for our family vacation! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Nimo in particular was incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure all our needs were met.A big thank you to Nimo for making our stay a wonderful experience. The resort itself is fantastic, with incredible swimming pools that are perfect for families. They had fun foam parties for the kids every single day, which they absolutely loved. The beach is just a short walk across the street, providing easy access to the beautiful ocean. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. We felt right at home during our stay. The resort grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The amenities, activities, and customer service at Ocean Sonic Resort are top-notch. We couldn't have asked for a better family vacation spot. We'll definitely be returning in the future!

Best place for you and your family in Sanya at least stay for 4 nights or more you will enjoy, also I want to tell you that Miss Zhang is the best hospitality in Buddha tower , the rooms are clean as pictures the. TLDR: Had really high expectations when I booked this 5 diamond hotel, however the stay experience fell short from the expectations. The Good: + Was offered room upgrade to sea view room during checked in. + Interior and exterior design of the hotel is really sets a relaxing tone to the entire stay. + It was a nice touch having Bellboys to help us with luggage and open doors whenever we arrive at the hotel lobby + Staffs and cleaners greeted us was also a nice touch + Breakfast options are extensive (including fresh juice bar and daily special juice concoction) + Free hotel activities to do daily + Gym is well maintained and a good number of machines The Bad - (Presales) Didn’t appreciate the fact that the booking page didn’t state the hotel deposit amount (which is slightly more than 1 time the hotel room price) and was only mentioned during check-in. Prior the trip, I tried to ask about whether there’s any hotel deposit via Trip.com message to hotel function and there’s no reply at all. (I mean a 3 diamond star hotel I stayed previous replied… but a 5 diamond star hotel didn’t). - (Not controllable) Sadly, there’s construction going on and can see cranes and construction machinery hindering the view of the sea, as well as the noises. - There’s supposedly a butler assigned to each guest, but my butler only added me on WeChat several hours after checkin. Also, was asking the butler about one of the afternoon hotel was still going on as we reached the venue and there’s no one around. He said he will check and then no reply for 20mins before I messaged him to inform that we won’t be waiting anymore. Didn’t appreciate that there’s no follow up. - The shower control knob will suddenly fall off at certain angle which can be rather dangerous given that it has quite a weight to it. - The bathtub’s shower head keeps leaking when we turned the other tap on to fill the bathtub, and we had to put the shower head into the bathtub to prevent flooding. All in all, it fell short on expectations in terms of the service compared to the service my partner and I had experienced in a 3 diamond star hotel at a fraction of this hotel’s price. Nonetheless, it is really a gorgeous place to stay in. Tastefully decorated and smell really great. Most of the staffs are friendly.
