I really thoroughly enjoyed my experience in this hotel. As a solo traveller, I felt safe throughout my stay, with security guards on the ground floor, public police officers 公安 on the Nanjing Road, and even special forces 特警 occasionally parked on the ground floor. The location is amazing, you can take public transport + walk to almost any big attractions. Last but not least, I would like to specially commend the hotel staff I interacted with during my trip, specifically 刘阿姨 on level 11, who helped me clean my room and who has been so friendly to me since day one. She was one of the main reasons why I felt so comfortable in the hotel, and I would like to give her a shoutout. Thank you! I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting SH 🫶🏻

The hotel is very old. There is a misty smell on the carpet and the furniture is worn. Location is great though and it is a short walking distance away from the Bund.

Good location to visit city center. Hotel is old but still kept in good acceptable conditions.
Check-in process too long and i was expecting a bit better breakfast. It was not bad but missing something.

Location is very convenient and superb. Just downstairs you will land up in Nanjing Pedestrian Road for food and shopping. Breakfast variety not much, not delicious and everyday serving same food. Same fried noodles , same fried rice.
Stayed there for 8 days and had the same breakfast for 8 days. Room was rundown and old and had insects. Bathtub not cleaned and my falsies been in there for 7 days. No connecting rooms. Not much didi knows the hotel lobby is at level 2. Had to request toothbrush , shaver from reception. Room was very dim even when all lights were switched on. TV has no much variety, so we didnt watched tv for 8 days. If you have small kids , please consider my review.

The hotel location was great, leads right out onto Nanjing Road, very convenient.
The service by staff was standard, nothing exceptional.
The breakfast was western, which was great but very expensive considering the selection.
Before checking in I confirmed with the hotel for a birthday cake, as it was a birthday stay, they confirmed but did not deliver it which was very disappointing, I expected much more considering they had agreed beforehand, I called and requested again while I was checked in but still nothing was delivered which was really disappointing!

Hotel location is right in the centre of walking street, very convience. Morning breakfast is good too. Walking distance to bund.
