Lovely hotel, backs onto a golf course. Staff are helpful and speak good English, but the Anting area is a long way from "Shanghai proper". It's not really Shanghai and most likely, most customers here are probably locals from Shanghai coming for a weekend getaway. Anting is green and leafy and nice, but it is not "real" Shanghai. Real Shanghai is a 1-hour metro or taxi ride away

I stayed here after completing my government mandated quarantine. The gentleman who checked me in was lovely. However, there was absolutely no help with luggage — getting to or from the qt side to the “regular side” or even getting it up and down from my room, which was VERY far away from the front desk. I called down to guest services for assistance and none came after 30 minutes and I had to bring it down in two separate trips on my own. The regular room was a lovely suite and the bed was comfortable. I wish I had stayed in that room for my qt. The a/c is not on in common spaces.

From the moment I entered the door, a tall guy at the front desk came to help me take my luggage to the front desk to check in.
