Sveta Sofia is a traditional hotel in a quiet pedestrianised street in the city centre. All staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful. The receptionists speak excellent English. Rooms are big and include a settee and coffee table as well as fridge and coffee making facilities. There is constant hot water and great water pressure. The hotel is very clean,including the breakfast room. Rooms are cleaned every day, towels and sheets are spotless. Its true there is no bar or outside space but it is so near lovely roadside cafes you really dont miss out. The breakfast is varied and plenty of it - self service but you can get an espresso made by the restaurant manager. Because the hotel is in a pedestrionised street, there is zero traffic noise. In fact there is very little noise as the bars are not in this street. It also feels safe here which I think is important. I highly recommend Sveta Sofia if you are thinking about visiting this lovely city.

The staff at Grand Hotel Sofia deserves the highest praise for their helpfulness and attentiveness, going above and beyond to ensure my every need was met. Their warm and accommodating nature made me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the spacious and beautifully decorated room. The tasteful decor, plush furnishings, and meticulously chosen artwork created an atmosphere of elegance and comfort that exceeded my expectations. Additionally, the room service at Grand Hotel Sofia was exceptional, offering a delectable menu of dishes that surpassed my expectations. Each meal was flawlessly prepared and delivered promptly, further enhancing the overall experience. We stayed here for a couple nights whilst exploring Sofia. This a perfect and cute little hotel, purely somewhere to sleep for the night. If you want fancy, stay in the centre. But what do you need on a city break? You’re exploring the whole time! It’s simple and effective and budget friendly, it was half the price of the flights and less than our airport parking! (Paid £50 for two nights). Sofia is very cheap to eat and drink so you just can’t go wrong. The staff were friendly on arrival and check out, and they let us keep our bags after check out when we had a late flight. Not too far from the centre, we walked the first day but after realising it’s £2 for all day on the metro, we stuck to the metro. 30 minutes walking, or maybe 6 minutes by metro. The airport is about half an hour away on the metro and no issues getting there or back. Smooth transport system! There’s a supermarket 3 minutes away which is handy for water and snacks. If walking at night, I will say stick to the main road side, as the other side of the hotel feels a little unsafe and dark. The rooms are small but practical, bathroom is a little smaller than I expected but it still worked. My only issue is I would say the room could of been cleaner when we checked in. I had to clean the toilet and sink with sanitiser as it was a little dirty. Take flip flops for showering as you are very close to the toilet when you shower and very close to the shower when you use the toilet. Shower gel provided smelt lovely and the hand sanitiser at reception! We had a brilliant time and would highly recommend the hotel and stay again should we ever take another trip to Sofia.

Hotel location is good, 500m from Lion Bridge, the room decoration is older. Restaurant and service are ok.

I stayed at this hotel during a dance festival and this was actually one of the few advantages of this hotel (all the workshops here held there). Cleaning ok. It is very cold in room (I slept on a sofe near the windows and I could not sleep because of the cold and the noise coming from outside). Breakfast is quite poor in terms of options (if you decide to have breakfast after 8:30, you will see that there is not much food left and they do not bring more). Also, they charge you for the parking. the card does not work when you want to exist the parking and since the doorman does not speak English it is quite difficult to explain that you have already paid for the parking.

I stayed here with my wife and two kids for two nights at the end of September, 2022. Very modern, bright, spotless, and comfortable property in the middle of it all in Sofia. Flawless experience- everything during our stay was perfect. Extremely polite and knowledgeable staff and great food selection for the room service- one afternoon, I took the kids out and my wife literally spent the entire time vegging out in the room. This hotel is up to the highest European standards, at a fraction of the cost of what you would pay for a similar property in Paris or London. Truly enjoyable experience- I wish we had more time to spend there!

This is a great new hostel concept for Sofia and Bulgaria. Its nice to have a fully enclosed bed (with curtain) which add to privacy, when sharing a room (dorm) with 4 other travellers Furthermore there are several lighting options within the actual bed area full and dime lightening, However, I was allocated a top bed in the dorm, I did find it hard at first to get in and out. Perhaps I am just too old for the hostel concept! - No seriously, it was very good for a hostel. The room was air-conditioned and seemed to work well. Great exchange with fellow travellers in my room, the benefits of staying in a hostel. Our external bathroom, was directly opposite with several showers and toilets. However, one facility was out of order. There are two different kitchens on different levels. I checked in at the allocated time - at first there seemed to be some problem with the reservation. I had prepaid my reservation, though Trip.com, but the vast majority of travellers use hostelworld.com, which only require a deposit, with the remaining payment given at the hostel. This created some confusion at check-inn. The hostel is very close to the main railway and bus station (10 min walk). However, this hostel is quite far from the main tourism zones and sights of Sofia, which is about 45 to 50 walk. However, there a several trams & buses to get you there - maybe little a bit confusing for first time Sofia traveller. Overall, I highly recommend this hostel.

A very nice hotel, they have great amenities; restaurants, room service, a ******, etc The rooms are a little dated, but comfortable and clean.

The hotel is located on Vitosha Boulevard and is well placed for the numerous bars and restaurants to be found on the long pedestrian *****. It's also within walking distance of all the main sights and guided tour start points. Our room was spacious, as was the bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. The majority of the staff were very helpful, especially Nikolai on the Reception Desk and the dark haired waitress in the restaurant (I didn't get her name). The one negative is that the breakfast options are rather limited and the breakfast waitress was grumpy and rude (although Nicolai picked up on this and had a word with her) - that's why I've given 4/5 as opposed to 5/5.

If you choose ARTE SOFIA HOTEL you will make a wonderful choice for the vs stay in Sofia . Hotel in a perfect location (a few ft from the Parliament and from the Vitosha bld. move), the essential but clean rooms and have everything, including the courtesy kit. And talking about cleaning , a thank to the staff I wanted to rest one afternoon putting the card to not disturb me , yet even afternoon on the late , they re-ordered my room . The reception is very kind and smiling (which is not so widespread in Sofia): they advise you, help you and are very nice. Breakfast is in the standard and there is a choice of sweet and salad. If I really need to find a defect, it is the lack of Italian channels in the room TV Thanks all for the comfortable stay
