While the staff was amazing and friendly, my stay quickly became a nightmare the morning I was supposed to check out. In the early morning on the day I was to check out, I was startled awake by rustling noises only to discover a mouse in my room. I quickly showered and went to pack up and discovered mouse droppings all over the top of the counter and along the base of the pull-out couch. The mouse ran through the room a couple of times between the couch, bed and under the fridge. As I finished getting ready for my day, I had dropped my charger along the one side of the couch, only to discover a stain and an old used condom. While the staff was so kind, shocked, and apologetic, I’m shocked that the room was not as clean as I had initially thought. Upon coming home, I also discovered that the mouse chewed through a pair of my bike shorts. Again, the staff was amazing, and I received a full refund for my visit, but this is definitely something to be aware of. Maybe this is an issue due to covid and not being staffed properly, but it’s definitely not something you would expect to find in a higher rated hotel. I highly suggest you check your room over before unpacking.
Parkview Inn and Conference Center

How creepy is the ParkView Inn & Conference Center? Let me count the ways. For $97.90 per night for a room with two double beds, we expected a room key that would unlock the door and a TV remote that would actually work, and we got neither. The photos on the website for this place are very misleading... it is not a proper hotel at all, but a huge, sprawling, run-down motor court with ancient plumbing fixtures that is located in some kind of industrial park. After checking in at the front office and driving all the way around the huge complex to find our room, the key card would not unlock the door... so we had to put all the luggage back in the car and drive all the way back to the office to get a new key card. Back to the room, only to discover the TV remote did not work... so, back to the office to get a replacement that did not work either. And it is so complicated to get on their WiFi that there is a half page is instructions. The room does have a fridge, but there is no microwave (apparently, there is a microwave available for guests’ use in one of the common areas). Breakfast is included, but based on the rest of our experience here, we think we’ll give it a miss and head straight into downtown Allentown for a restaurant. Let the buyer beware... this is not a hotel, it is a motel... and a bare-bones, poorly maintained one at that.

The location is remote but very quiet, it is the best break in several hotels
