Tristan…My trip to Lijiang was impromptu, and the reason I booked this hotel was simply because of a very basic need:
I wanted a quiet, private, and undisturbed courtyard where I could enjoy a quiet drink while facing the snow-capped mountains, whiling away a moment of peace.
If many hotels use ”design language” to construct a lie about privacy, then Tangting's first impression was one of solidified confidence built on a sense of ”appropriateness.”
Before arrival, General Manager Amy's inquiry was polite and restrained, without being overly enthusiastic or intrusive; on the day of check-in, the founder, Brother Qingshan, personally drove to pick me up, his composure not showing obsequiousness, but rather like an old friend meeting.
The journey wasn't far, we chatted a lot, and I was surprised to find out he was the first Ctrip customer, which felt like fate.
The moment I opened the door, I understood what ”composure” truly meant.
In the center of the lobby, the ancient tea tree was not just for show; under the dappled sunlight of the courtyard, it created an almost Zen-like order. At the warm invitation of Qingshan and Amy, we sampled the flavor of this century-old tea tree. It wasn't superficial; it was a testament to the sedimentation of time.
Upon entering the room, a breathtaking panorama of snow-capped mountains unfolded before our eyes. The surrounding birdsong and insect chirps confirmed the saying: true seclusion isn't about hiding in the mountains, but about standing by the window and the world automatically turning down its volume for you.
Some hotels sell bricks and antique furnishings, but Tangting sells a ”privilege” that allows for complete relaxation.
This surprise reached its peak after nightfall. Bartender Xiao Boyu seemed to understand how to extract the soul of the night. The drink he personally crafted was unexpectedly amazing—a perfect balance of sweet and sour, with a finish that held the unique intensity and gentleness of Lijiang. One sip, and I realized that true ”seclusion” also requires this touch of intoxication to complete the experience.
Noble without tranquility is merely a noisy dwelling; extravagance without moderation ultimately leads to vulgarity.
True luxury isn't about the price tag, but about feeling a sense of peace and tranquility once you step inside.
Last night, I enjoyed drinks with Qingshan and Xiaoboyu, and in the midst of our lively conversation, a sudden realization dawned on me. As Qingshan said, the best state in this world can be summed up in four words: just right.
And this is precisely the most precious quality of Tangting.

Guest UserThe whole house is full of large floor-to-ceiling viewing windows. The guest rooms and bathtub areas can face the complete Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. You can see the clouds flowing in the mountains while lying in the bed. The interior decoration is simple and high-end wild luxury style. The furniture is soft and soft. The texture is online and the stay is very comfortable.
The top floor terrace is the biggest surprise. The ladder viewing platform and arched floor-to-ceiling windows have many views of the mountain. The whole field, village and snow-capped mountains are all wallpaper-level pictures. The yard lawn also has docile lambs, and the atmosphere is full of healing.
It is far away from the hustle and bustle of the ancient city, quiet and relaxing. Whether it is watching the clouds during the day, the blues sunset in the evening, or the room is in a daze. The view, environment and hardware are all impeccable. Come to Baisha to see the snow-capped mountains. This is the first choice, and will come again next time!

Guest UserThis guesthouse truly exceeded my expectations! It's run by a local Naxi family, and it boasts a unique design style with surprises around every corner. From the comfortable beds to the carefully selected decorations, every detail reflects the owners' dedication. We even had a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains from our room, which was an amazing experience. We also got to try the owner's exceptional Pu'er tea, whose fragrant aroma made us feel incredibly comfortable and relaxed. Furthermore, every staff member at the guesthouse was incredibly welcoming. The guesthouse auntie even took us to experience digging for sweet potatoes, making us feel right at home. The host's professional advice enriched our trip significantly. Next time I'm in Lijiang, I will definitely choose Ma'an Linlu again!

sonyou11Nestled at the foot of Baisha Snow Mountain, Wuyulan was truly the most delightful surprise of our Lijiang trip. The entire complex is built into the hillside, offering stunning views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain right from our window. The serene and healing natural landscape meant every photo we took was postcard-perfect.
The breakfast was exquisite and plentiful, featuring many authentic local Yunnan ingredients that were both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The dinner menu also offered unique dishes. The service was warm and attentive; they were never intrusive but always there when we needed them, with meticulous attention to every detail. Far from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town, it's a quiet and peaceful sanctuary – a true escape where you can truly unwind and let go of all your fatigue.

DalilixiaomoliDue to the photo upload limit on Ctrip, I could only select 20 pictures, but there are so many more beautiful and expressive photos that I wanted to share.
First and foremost, booking this hotel was absolutely the right decision. I initially considered that we shouldn't be too tired on the day of arrival, especially since I was traveling with my nearly 70-year-old father and we needed to prepare for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain the next day. So, I didn't plan any other attractions for that day, but I put all my expectations into this hotel because of the many activities it offered. And the on-site experience truly lived up to my expectations:
The tie-dye experience made up for our missed opportunity to experience local customs elsewhere in Yunnan.
The light hike with Comrade Xiao Shen, my father, and me was absolutely fantastic! We walked on a mountain with no other tourists, quiet and serene, admiring our 'private' view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from afar. We also passed by many wedding setups, a unique sight that I believe most people don't get to experience. The highlight at the end was the stunning Tea Horse Ancient Road Grand Canyon.
In the evening, we gathered around the stove for tea. Xiao Shen prepared a rich selection of snacks, and we chatted, enjoying the cozy atmosphere.
The stargazing activity at night was also something not offered by other hotels.
On February 7th, my trust was not misplaced. Thank you all.
Then there's the hotel's location, nestled within the Dongba Grand Canyon scenic area, peaceful and profound. The manor-style design itself is incredibly luxurious. It's also very close to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, about 12 kilometers away, making for an easy drive in the morning. The room's amenities are on par with any five-star hotel.
Next, the restaurant. Oh my goodness, it's a crime if this hotel's restaurant isn't popular! The food is delicious, portions are generous, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I was almost moved to tears. It would be a real shame to stay at this hotel and not have dinner here. I ordered the double-person stir-fry set B.
Finally, all the staff. Saying they were enthusiastic feels like an understatement. I saw a genuine sense of pride in their work, especially in Xiao Shen. When there's a resonance between the service provider and the recipient, when customers genuinely feel the sincerity and warmth of the staff, it fosters respect, elevating every aspect of the experience.
If you're coming to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, it's a pity not to stay at this hotel.
