If you like climbers, you can also make an appointment to ask the male owner to lead the climb. The accommodation is very clean, the bath water is hot enough and the washing is very comfortable. First off, the guesthouse's ambiance is truly wonderful, completely living up to my imagination of Lijiang Old Town! The courtyard is beautifully maintained, with flowers and plants artfully arranged. Sitting there, sipping tea and soaking up the sun, was incredibly relaxing. The room decor also features strong local characteristics, with wooden structures and ethnic soft furnishings. It was very quiet at night, ensuring a great night's sleep. The only slight drawback was that the facilities felt a little outdated. For instance, the heating in the room was quite slow to react, and the water temperature and pressure for showering at night were a bit inconsistent. I hope the owner can gradually upgrade these. Also, there was no proactive cleaning service during my stay, which can be a bit inconvenient for guests staying multiple days. It would be perfect if there could be a simple tidying up each day. However, these minor issues don't overshadow the positives. Tingxueju's location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere, and the owner is very warm and welcoming, offering many great travel tips. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Lijiang, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a peaceful environment!

I came here to see the alpine Danxia landforms, but the transportation to this area is quite inconvenient, and it's not very well-known in Lijiang. Accommodation options on Hongshi Street are limited, but the owner and his family are incredibly friendly, and the local Lisu people are simple and hospitable. The small courtyard is spotless. It's situated by the river, and the soothing white noise from the water really helps you sleep. For meals, I highly recommend 'Liu Da Wan' (Six Big Bowls); their food is very distinctive and delicious. For Thousand Turtle Mountain tickets, I strongly recommend buying the package that includes the cable car – it's a great deal. Purchasing tickets on site isn't really worth it. Because of the low number of tourists, many of the interpretive signs on the mountain are old and dilapidated. It's truly a shame to see such a beautiful place fading away, and I hope it can gain more popularity.

We were somewhat surprised by the campsite-style setup, as we booked based solely on website photos without delving into the specifics. While the facilities are adequate, the layout lacks privacy. For instance, to use the cabin's toilet, all curtains on the first level must be closed. Additionally, the toilet bowl is situated behind stairs without any curtains, potentially allowing others in the cabin to see. Moreover, the second-level flooring consists of planks with numerous gaps, providing visibility to the first level, including the bathtub and toilet bowl. I strongly advise against booking this accommodation for families with children due to the safety risk posed by the sliding doors on the second level, which lack safety measures. While they offer a unique view of the mountain, the danger of potential falls is significant. If you do choose to consider it as a family cabin, I recommend checking with the staff to lock the doors from the outside for added safety. Despite the unexpected aspects mentioned above, our overall stay was still decent. The staff were hospitable and helpful throughout our visit. Communication was convenient via WeChat for check-in details, recommendations, and self-checkout. It seems that the camping style of accommodation was a selling point, it’s definitely a unique stay. I’m sure there’s a specific crowd that would fully enjoy the experience.
