GGuest UserNestled north of Lijiang, at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, stands an old house that, after seven years of meticulous renovation by its owner, has been transformed into a luxury guesthouse. The owner personally carried bricks and tiles, while a design team from Tsinghua University's architecture department oversaw the project, embedding the Naxi people's understanding of beauty and the soul of their spiritual home into every crevice of the walls. No matter which window you open, you're greeted with a view of the ancient, majestic snow-capped mountain, as if it's been brought right into the lively space. The design and details within the rooms reflect the owner's thoughtful touch and aesthetic sense. The amenities are excellent, with underfloor heating in winter and cool breezes in summer, making it a perfect retreat year-round. Whether you're relaxing in your room, enjoying tea and a book, or venturing out for a horse ride or hike to Yuhu Lake for some fresh air and mushroom foraging in the woods, it's all about savoring slow living. The high-altitude winds effortlessly sweep away any urban worries you might have brought with you. At every turn, the designer has placed a soft, non-glaring light and many cleverly conceived details. The common areas are stocked with a wide selection of books, creating a sense of relaxation and peace in every corner. The assistant, a charming and kind woman who has traveled the world before returning to her hometown, is truly exceptional. Having worked for many years in natural ecological education at the UN, she's a favorite among children, offering a variety of engaging themed activities daily. The dining experience is also delightful; both breakfast and dinner are hearty, and the ingredients are fresh and safe, offering complete peace of mind. Come to this little corner of the world and see if you can find a place to call home and settle your soul. Seven years have turned a century-old house into this masterpiece. What will it look like in another hundred years? Perhaps the snow mountain will remain, while the human world will have long since changed.

GGuest UserEnvironment: You can see the snowy mountains right from the guesthouse, with a perfect view and a large open space for admiring the scenery and taking photos. The interior design of the guesthouse is very aesthetically pleasing and sophisticated, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Service: The service is impeccable. The guesthouse's breakfast and afternoon tea are high quality; the rose latte was my favorite. The in-house private chef's cooking is exceptional and delicious. In the evening, there's even a cocktail service, which other guesthouses don't offer. Each service is handled by a dedicated staff member who responds promptly and patiently. They also provide pick-up and drop-off to and from Baisha Ancient Town. The owner personally decorated the place, and the design shows excellent taste. We brought some freshly bought flowers, and they thoughtfully provided a vase and arranged them for us, a level of detail you won't find in other hotels. The stay was absolutely fantastic. This is the best and most favorite guesthouse I've stayed at in Lijiang, and I'll definitely choose it again next time! Highly recommended.

GGuest UserFor this price point, you wouldn't expect any major shortcomings in terms of facilities or service, and this hotel didn't disappoint. On our last day in Lijiang, we chose Shitoucuo primarily for the hotel's diverse range of activities. We enjoyed picking pinecones, horseback riding by the lake, and a Naxi home visit. In the evening, there was a cozy fireside wine session with singing and performances by local Naxi brothers. The buffet breakfast was quite extensive, and they also offered free hotpot for lunch, plus a special afternoon tea. For dinner, we went to a beautiful restaurant in the village, which was a great recommendation from the hotel. My favorite activity was the Naxi home visit. We got to wear traditional Naxi clothing, grind soybeans by hand, learn about the entire process of Dongba papermaking, and even study Dongba characters. We wrote Dongba blessings on the provided Dongba paper to keep as a memento. The hotel is quite a distance from the airport, but they provided a very convenient shuttle service. The front desk staff, based on my flight schedule, even suggested we visit Baisha Ancient Town first. Then, they arranged for the driver to pick up our luggage at the hotel and meet us at the ancient town to take us to the airport. Such a thoughtful arrangement! P.S. The hotel is close to a pasture, so there were naturally some flies. The staff would deal with them in the rooms using an electric swatter, but it's hard to completely avoid them in open outdoor spaces. I think it's a minor issue that doesn't detract from the overall experience, but it's something to consider if you're particularly sensitive to it.

JJaneXuStayed here for 2 nights and honestly didn’t want to leave. 🏔️✨ The snow mountain view was absolutely breathtaking — waking up to the golden sunrise on the mountains right from the bed felt unreal. The whole hotel has a very peaceful and luxurious atmosphere. What really surprised us was how high-tech and thoughtful everything was. But the best part was definitely the service. Every staff member was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. From check-in to transport arrangements and small little details throughout the stay. A perfect stay if you want: ☁️ snow mountain views ☁️ peaceful slow travel vibes ☁️ comfort + design + great hospitality Would absolutely come back again.

RRenjian1989I had a wonderful two-day stay in Yuhu Village, and the guesthouse I booked by chance turned out to be a fantastic surprise! It has a lovely courtyard, not too big and not too small, with an olive tree standing gracefully in the middle. A few cats laze around in the courtyard, looking incredibly content and not at all afraid of people. One even waited for me on the wall when I woke up in the morning! The guesthouse's location is excellent; it's right by the Yuhu Village Square, just a short bus ride from the visitor center. Yuhu Village also offers a variety of activities, making it convenient for horse riding and hiking. I really enjoyed sunbathing and feeling the breeze in the courtyard, chatting with the owner by the fire in the lobby, drinking tea during the day, and having a nightcap in the evening. I wish I could have stayed a few more days.

GGuest UserCelebrating my birthday in Lijiang, choosing Taohuawu Resort within the Yulong Snow Mountain scenic area was absolutely the luckiest travel decision I've ever made! The overall experience was perfect. The environment was relaxing and therapeutic, creating an incredible atmosphere, completely away from the hustle and bustle of the city – just leisurely and free. The resort's best feature is definitely its location, nestled deep within the Yulong Snow Mountain scenic area, offering direct panoramic views of the snowy peaks. The resort grounds boast a massive alpine pasture with incredibly open views. The lawn is clean, tidy, and stunningly beautiful, with therapeutic natural scenery everywhere. It's perfect for unwinding, vacationing, and taking photos. I also booked the hotel's travel photography service. The photographer, 'Moumou,' had divine ideas for composition and absolutely unbeatable skills. Their service attitude was exceptional, providing emotional support throughout. They helped me choose outfits based on my style, guided my poses, and even took me to pose with all sorts of small animals and even adult animals in the pasture. Speaking of photos, the pasture is home to many gentle and adorable small animals like cats, incredibly expensive dogs, golden retrievers, and more. The most surprising part was the invaluable Akhal-Teke horses here! You can admire and interact with these magnificent steeds up close while taking photos around the grounds, creating a sophisticated and unique atmosphere. I took so many gorgeous photos here, every single one turned out amazing. The 'Stable Starry Sky Snow Mountain Room' I stayed in offered an excellent experience. It featured a panoramic skylight design, allowing me to gaze at the blue sky and starry river from bed. During the day, I watched the clouds drift by, and at night, I observed the countless stars. The views were breathtaking, and both privacy and comfort were maximized. The exclusive butler service throughout was incredibly attentive. The service attitude was gentle, meticulous, warm, and thoughtful. Upon arrival, they proactively helped with my luggage and guided me to my room. Any request was met promptly, with super-fast response times, making the entire stay worry-free and comfortable. Coincidentally, it was my birthday, and the hotel staff thoughtfully decorated the room. The exquisite and beautiful decorations were full of ceremony, and the attention to detail was incredibly heartwarming, making my snow mountain birthday trip exceptionally memorable. The resort offers a rich variety of unique activities, such as tie-dyeing, mushroom picking in the forest, DIY fridge magnets, and many other fun and engaging options. Unfortunately, I arrived late and couldn't experience them all, leaving a small regret, but it also makes me look forward to my next visit even more. The resort's ambiance at night is truly divine! The nightly bonfire party is lively and therapeutic. Everyone gathers around the bonfire, singing, dancing, chatting, and enjoying drinks. Laughter fills the mountain air, creating a free and joyful atmosphere. The overall experience was impeccable. The scenery, service, activities, and environment were all top-notch. This is a hidden gem of a resort, a must-stay when vacationing at Yulong Snow Mountain. I've already highly recommended it to my friends, and I will definitely be back for a second visit to Lijiang!

BBreadpotatoesfriesA stunning stay! The room I picked was the 180+180 room and the view was just absolutely stunning. I recommend staying more than a day to just enjoy the views of the mountain. I was hosted by Hongliang and team who were so very attentive. They gave quick recommendations on what to eat in the vicinity and helped arranged all the activities they offered. The photography experience was especially fun and the photographer gave clear guidance and there was a good selection of outfits for ladies (just one for males). The session included makeup and hairdo as well, one per room, top up if more guests want to participate. I wish I had remembered there was a free shoot then I would have saved on the one done in the ancient city. These photos turned out really nice and you can pay a fee for each additional photo you like. Coord directly with the photog 2 days before your stay. The tea pressing activity was at a nearby tea dealer and the staff were very well versed in all types of tea, if you are a connoisseur you would enjoy it. All in all an amazing stay that I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a mountain retreat.

HHenny P AdiHonestly, I rarely post reviews—but this time I really felt like I had to, because this hotel was the highlight of my family trip to Yunnan. From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking. The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations. The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away. What I will remember the most is the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, always doing their best to accommodate every request. Please never change—your hospitality feels just like being with family. Next time we visit Lijiang, we will definitely stay here again without hesitation.

FFeifeiqiFacilities: 4 stars | Ambiance: 5 stars | Service: 4 stars Choosing Tingxueju for my stay in Lijiang was an excellent experience overall, and I just had to share my honest thoughts. First off, the guesthouse's ambiance is truly wonderful, completely living up to my imagination of Lijiang Old Town! The courtyard is beautifully maintained, with flowers and plants artfully arranged. Sitting there, sipping tea and soaking up the sun, was incredibly relaxing. The room decor also features strong local characteristics, with wooden structures and ethnic soft furnishings. It was very quiet at night, ensuring a great night's sleep. The only slight drawback was that the facilities felt a little outdated. For instance, the heating in the room was quite slow to react, and the water temperature and pressure for showering at night were a bit inconsistent. I hope the owner can gradually upgrade these. Also, there was no proactive cleaning service during my stay, which can be a bit inconvenient for guests staying multiple days. It would be perfect if there could be a simple tidying up each day. However, these minor issues don't overshadow the positives. Tingxueju's location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere, and the owner is very warm and welcoming, offering many great travel tips. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Lijiang, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a peaceful environment!

CChitrlada HarnWhen my mother agreed to visit Lijiang with me, I browsed many hotels in Trip.com and sorted out this hotel out of many hotels with good reviews without knowing beforehanded that this will fulfill my satisfaction to the most. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does. All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel. The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.
