Seriously can't recommend this hotel enough! The room was fully equipped, but the best part was truly how wonderful the owner and every single staff member were. They made us feel so welcome, and the service was absolutely top-notch – way better than some much more expensive places we've stayed. Plus, there are super cute dogs and cats on the first floor! Definitely a huge recommendation. And the breakfast can even be delivered to your room (a lifesaver for those who can't get out of bed! 🫶🏻) Highly recommend!!!!!!

Nestled just off the main road at the entrance to Yuhu Village, Baolin Homestay surprisingly keeps a perfect distance from the hustle and bustle. Stepping into the courtyard, you instantly grasp the true meaning of 'tranquility in the midst of noise': outside, you hear the clip-clop of horse hooves and the chatter of tourists, while inside, only the rustling of leaves in the wind and the distant whisper of snow-capped mountains can be heard. Right outside is the village's main street, with cafes and restaurants just a few minutes' walk away. Turning right leads directly to the path down the mountain and open fields, incredibly convenient for hiking or horse riding. The courtyard layout is particularly delightful. We stayed in a private Loft-style courtyard, with a balcony on the first floor where two rattan chairs offer views of dark grey eaves and a patch of blue sky. The second floor features another small terrace with mountain views. The two levels are independent and offer excellent sound insulation. The room's decor combines raw wood and stone for a rustic feel, the bedding is soft, and the hot water is fast and consistent. The room rate includes a simple dinner for two, and the chef's cooking is excellent – a plate of local cured pork stir-fried with mushrooms, savory and imbued with a wild, earthy flavor; the stir-fried seasonal vegetables were crisp, tender, and sweet, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. Breakfast was plentiful, with hot congee, rice noodles, and side dishes, setting a great mood for the day. The front desk lady is the heart and soul of this place. Meticulous, diligent, and thoughtful, she brought us a warm, sweet dessert soup every evening that warmed us to our fingertips. Her drinks are never perfunctory, whether it's freshly ground coffee or ginger-date milk tea, all made with genuine care. The three little cats are the lively treasures of the courtyard, bringing the whole place to life. Our three days at Baolin were not luxurious, but everything was perfectly arranged; not ostentatious, yet unforgettable. This stone-walled courtyard in Yuhu Village – it will gently embrace you with a warm meal, a comforting drink, and a quiet night.

Bonus points: Complimentary shuttle service saved us the hassle of finding a taxi upon arrival. The environment is lovely, with its own small garden, perfect for photoshoots. Our room directly faced the snow-capped mountains; if the season were right, we might have seen the 'Golden Mountain in the Sun'. The location is also great; turn right from the hotel, and you're in Baisha Ancient Town. If you want to stay near the ancient town, I recommend this place. They provide face masks, which is a thoughtful touch for female guests. Downsides: 1. The breakfast was quite monotonous. We stayed for several days, and it was the same noodles every single morning without fail. After leaving this guesthouse, I genuinely couldn't bring myself to eat Cross-the-Bridge Noodles for the rest of my Yunnan trip. (We even saw the hotel staff eating the same noodles and thought, 'they must be even more fed up than us'). 2. Inexperienced staff: The female receptionist in the mornings always seemed to be daydreaming and didn't appear to enjoy her job. Her movements were slow, and her facial expressions were blank. 😂 You had to proactively ask her if you wanted coffee. I asked the laundry guy to wash some clothes, and when I returned in the evening, he said they were washed. But when I checked the bag, they were still unwashed and smelly. I pulled out a random item, and the large patch of dried mud from my child jumping in puddles was still there! 😅 However, the guy's apology was very sincere. One of the reasons I booked this place was because reviews mentioned it was run by young people, so I expected it to be vibrant. However, upon checking in, I found a complete lack of vibrancy and only noticed inexperience in various details (not all listed here). 3. Collaboration with external photographers, leading to induced consumption. They claimed to offer free photos, but it played on customer psychology: 'The photographer came all this way and took so many pictures for me, how can I only take the three free ones?' The result was an extra charge of 50 yuan per photo or a package that didn't include the free ones. I later realized I had been induced into this consumption. I was also warned by others during my trip not to fall for such photography traps (too late, hahaha). 😅 The more I think about it, the more I feel something is off, so I specifically put this warning in the comments section for everyone.

Choosing this newly opened hotel for our trip was a truly delightful surprise! First and foremost, I have to give a huge shout-out to the hotel's butler service! From the pre-arrival communication to every aspect of our stay, the butler was incredibly thoughtful and responsive. Every staff member showed genuine hospitality, which made us feel very happy and relaxed. A special thanks to the butler for the fantastic food recommendations; the late-night snacks were absolutely delicious and completely won us over. The hotel also arranged a unique tie-dye experience for us. Under the guidance of an instructor, we got to create our own little headscarf, an immersive cultural experience that made the trip even more meaningful! 🥳 The complimentary photo session and afternoon tea were also incredibly worthwhile. The room itself was beautiful—the direct view of the snow-capped mountains was simply unbeatable; we could enjoy the scenery right from our bed. Although it's a new hotel, the facilities are brand new, spotless, and there's no unpleasant smell at all. The hardware is top-notch, and the 'software' (service) is even warmer. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Lijiang! 🏔️✨

I chose this hotel because of my connection with Doubao (a dog). The guesthouse itself was pretty standard; the rooms weren't huge but had all the necessary facilities and were very clean. Since I was in a rush for breakfast, the owner even prepared a light meal with milk, which was really thoughtful. Perhaps because I was so pressed for time, I didn't get to experience many standout features of the hotel. The owner seemed very stoic, like a businesswoman – neither happy nor angry, just very neutral. For self-driving, parking was only available in a public lot, and the hotel didn't reimburse for it, which was a first for me after staying in so many places. It's not about the money, but it just felt a bit off. Oh well, when in Rome! But being able to see Doubao after such a long journey made the trip worthwhile 😊

I was drawn to this place by its terrace, and the first thing I did upon arrival was rush up there. The view certainly lived up to expectations! It's hard to imagine how delightful it would be to watch the sun illuminate the snow-capped mountains on a clear morning or enjoy a drink at sunset here. The room was spacious, equipped with smart home features throughout, and all disposable amenities were well-provided. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and they even offered two types of pillows, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The overall design is modern, minimalist, and artistic – perfectly to my aesthetic taste. The owner was incredibly welcoming, proactively confirming parking before my arrival and promptly responding to any requests, which made my stay very reassuring. This was a travel experience that exceeded all expectations; a must-choose hotel when visiting Lijiang!

The 'Vast Starry Sky' room type exceeded all expectations! The view from the room was incredible; you could simply lie in bed and wait for the snowy mountains to be bathed in golden sunlight. The hotel was spotlessly clean and odor-free, and the 'starry sky' bathtub created a wonderfully atmospheric ambiance. There was also afternoon tea. Moreover, the guesthouse service was thoughtful and attentive, helping with luggage. The facilities were complete, and the ancient Baisha town offered a quiet and peaceful environment, making it a perfect spot to unwind during a trip. Highly recommended!

Initially, we booked the family suite but had to change the room due to an issue with the toilet. The boss was very helpful and quickly arranged a new room for us. The new room was much more comfortable, so we are thankful to the boss for that. Regarding cleanliness, we wish the rooms could be cleaner. The hotel should pay more attention to hygiene, especially that of the toilet. Another inconvenience was that there were many mosquitos in the room. Fortunately, the hotel provided a mosquito killer racquet and killer mats, so we were able to eliminate most of the mosquitos. Perhaps the mosquitos find some breeding grounds on the beautiful patio in the middle of the house. The location of the hotel is good. It's very quiet but close enough to most of the attractions in the city of Lijiang. The service attitude is very good. The boss and the cleaning lady are very kind and attentive. The lady prepared a nice breakfast for us, so thank you. The boss helped us book a taxi for the day we were leaving early in the morning. We really appreciate the kind service provided by the staff. Regarding price for value, we think it might be a bit overpriced given the condition of the rooms. Overall, this hotel is very beautiful. The furniture is traditional and beautiful. The central patio is exquisite and we loved the traditional Chinese design. The staff is kind and attentive.

When my mother agreed to visit Lijiang with me, I browsed many hotels in Trip.com and sorted out this hotel out of many hotels with good reviews without knowing beforehanded that this will fulfill my satisfaction to the most. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does.All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel.The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.

I recommend conducting thorough research before making reservations to fully understand what to expect. We were somewhat surprised by the campsite-style setup, as we booked based solely on website photos without delving into the specifics. While the facilities are adequate, the layout lacks privacy. For instance, to use the cabin's toilet, all curtains on the first level must be closed. Additionally, the toilet bowl is situated behind stairs without any curtains, potentially allowing others in the cabin to see. Moreover, the second-level flooring consists of planks with numerous gaps, providing visibility to the first level, including the bathtub and toilet bowl. I strongly advise against booking this accommodation for families with children due to the safety risk posed by the sliding doors on the second level, which lack safety measures. While they offer a unique view of the mountain, the danger of potential falls is significant. If you do choose to consider it as a family cabin, I recommend checking with the staff to lock the doors from the outside for added safety. Despite the unexpected aspects mentioned above, our overall stay was still decent. The staff were hospitable and helpful throughout our visit. Communication was convenient via WeChat for check-in details, recommendations, and self-checkout. It seems that the camping style of accommodation was a selling point, it’s definitely a unique stay. I’m sure there’s a specific crowd that would fully enjoy the experience.
