Amazing
YYoyoTAngThe sign at the door is so thin, it’s hard to find it at night! The room is large, with a bathroom and a small open-air bath! The environment is quiet and there is a 7-11 nearby for shopping!
GGuest UserInitially, I was torn between choosing between Kai Beppu and Harumi, and I'm so glad I ultimately went with Harumi. From the service to the facilities, this onsen (hot spring) ranks as one of the best I've visited in Japan, alongside Izu, Arima, and Karuizawa. Enjoying a hot soak with family, then relaxing on the balcony listening to the ocean waves while sipping a drink—it was such a perfect evening. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was outstanding, featuring many local specialties. I'll definitely be back!
AArianaIt takes about ten minutes to walk to the bus terminal and the nearest convenience store. The hotel is very close to Baichi Hot Spring, about a three-minute walk, which is very convenient.
The cleanliness of the hotel is very high, and the rooms are large. There is an indoor hot spring and an outdoor hot spring in the room. However, there should be some additives in the hot spring, and the family members have a little allergies after soaking. In addition, the hotel also has a family hot spring, the hot spring is very large, the environment is also good.
The staff were enthusiastic and courteous. Because we lost a piece of hand luggage on the bus, the staff not only helped us call to find it, but also taught us how to claim it, which really helped us a lot.
The meal is exquisite, but the taste is average, and everyone may have different tastes.
Probably because I have stayed in a lot of hot spring hotels, in contrast I think the price of this one is relatively high.
ZZiyoulaiqudeliulangzheWhen I booked, it only showed the room, not that it was in an annex building. We ended up being placed in the building next door, which had much simpler facilities and was significantly smaller. I'm not sure what the reasoning was. To take a bath, I had to carry a basket out and go to the main building. The slippers provided were also very slippery. It was very inconvenient, especially in the cold weather. It would be much more reasonable if the booking page clearly stated this upfront.
CClean_MartinI've stayed here before, and this time I brought a friend and booked a larger room. It's a historic inn, but the building and decor don't feel old at all. The Japanese-style room has a really nice vibe, and the smell of the tatami mats is so soothing. The room itself is incredibly spacious; I honestly think three or four people could comfortably stay in that one large tatami room. On the top floor, there's a hot spring with one indoor bath, a small outdoor bath, and a small sauna, all using natural hot spring water. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but all the dishes are local specialties or popular items from Oita Prefecture, so you'll definitely eat well and feel full. The downstairs parking used to be free, but now it costs 700 yen per night.
GGuest UserEverything is perfect, the location, the service and the cleanliness.
Would be nice if you can provide bigger towels in the room
Will stay again
CCtfan88The Seawave Hotel offers great value for money. The proximity to Beppu Station is a huge plus with free parking! We used self automated check in and out hence can’t really review service of the hotel; the room, while compact, was very clean and had everything we needed. A solid choice for a comfortable and convenient onsen stay in Beppu.
TTristanHWhen I arrived the hotel, the two parking lots on the right side of the entrance were occupied but the one on the left side was still vacant. So I temporarily parked there to unload my luggage and then drove away to a nearby public paid carpark. However when I came back, I found the parking space was occupied by a rental car with a Fukuoka license plate and it parked there for the whole night.
The instruction sent to us clear said the customer can only use the two parking lots on the right side with “first come first serve” principle. I am wondering what is the left parking space used for? If it is only used for unloading and pickup, then the instruction should clearly mention it. Otherwise it is not fair for the customers that followed the rules and parked their cars to somewhere else.
JjqxnancyThe room is very big. We booked three double beds. The dining room and kitchenware are all complete. The location is very convenient. It takes ten minutes to walk to Beppu Train Station. Self-service check-in and check-out procedures need to be operated through the tablet downstairs, referring to the email content.
MMay LanLocation is near supermarket and family mart. A few Coin parking locations near the house. First floor has 2 rooms <1 double bed and 1 with twin beds> but no space for luggages, a small washing basin at the corner of the staircase. 1 wc and 2 showers at first floor. Washing machine <no dryer> on the first floor. 1 wc on 2nd floor. Living room on 3 floor. 2nd floor has 2 rooms <1 with 2 double beds and 1 single bed, another with a single bed>. 2 washing basin on 2nd floor inside the rooms. It's not possible to bring big luggage up to narrow and steep staircase.no mirror on 1st floor so nid to climb up to wash and brush teeth. We wish the living room was the 1st floor. The music from nearby is bearable. Only know how to manage the water heater on 2nd day.
Suggestion to include rubbish bins on the first and 2nd floor. Add a mirror on first floor.
