I would not stay in this hotel ever again . The view from the balcony was beautiful and the location was brilliant however the food was absolutely disgusting . Half cold not much selection . Pool got drained while there was still guests in the hotel . Thank god we did not get all inclusive

The reviews of this hotel are unjust. I can only assume those who booked All-Inclusive expected à la carte food for Benidorm prices. Location excellent and if you pay extra for a sea view it is well worth the money !

Just returned from a 2-week stay at the Glarus hotel. 2 adults and 1 child We stayed bed and breakfast. Food was OK, nothing special, and pretty much the same every day. If you didn't go down early enough, then you missed out. Especially on things like pancakes. The pool is long and narrow and is really cold. It's shallow at the steps but then goes quite deep, and you can't stand up anywhere. sunbeds were a nightmare. There is not alot of them.Sunbeds were all taken by 7.30, with no one to be seen till around lunchtime. The rooms were dated but clean. You can upgrade on arrival for a sea view, which we did, which cost us just under £100 for the 2 weeks. The view is amazing, and we thought this was worth it. Although you only get the morning sum on the balcony, if you like a beer on the balcony in the sun before you go out, the rooms at the back are probably better. The location was perfect, just a 10-minute walk to Flower Street. We were only disturbed 1 night from the Kimbo bar, which was directly across from the hotel. The music didn't stop for 24 hours, and they seemed to turn the volume up at 6 am. But like I said, this only happened once and we kind of expected it at somepoint.Staff were OK, apart from the cleaners nobody looked or said anything to you, not even a smile. All in all, we had a great time. Probably wouldn't return to the Glarus because of the food and pool situation.

Great hotel, had no problems. Arrived on 25th August for 10 days, bed & breakfast. Breakfast was edible, but as we always eat out (since we've been to Sunny Beach before), it makes no difference to us. Rooms were cleaned, and fresh towels were left every day, as you have a door hanger to specify this and a DND sign. Bought drinks from Glarus bar, as it is a 30-second walk from the poolside. No kettle in the hotel, but it doesn't bother us, as it's a 5-minute walk downstairs to get a coffee from the machine. Would definitely advise not to upgrade to a sea view, as the sun gets to the other side of the hotel in the afternoon.

The Karaoke bar near the hotel was terrible! Without sleep until midnight... But very good silent conditioner. The place is very good - near the sea. Clean, but towels are torn, there are open showers, and meals could be better with choices for children.

I'm writing this review while still got another 2 weeks as had come for 3 weeks. I'm doing this after sitting after week 1 reading reviews that have been posted by others. I think quite a few of these have been very unfair towards Glarus hotel. We have returned to Bulgaria after 9 year holiday break due to ill health. What are people expecting. We have come for 3 weeks b n b and 1st time time at the Glarus Hotel. We were initially unhappy with room as was above delivery entrance but being beach front you do not get sun afternoon or evening. The room however was clean and acceptable. The cleaner was a lovely woman always smiling and would clean every day if we wanted. The other staff we have dealt with have been no problem. I think the Glarus has had some unfair reviews as some people's expectations are a bit much and some beyond ridiculous. We have never had a kettle no matter where we have gone abroad. Nor would we expect staff to look after us if having accident can see the predicament but it is not there place. We go b n b but never go for breakfast anyway. There are plenty of eating places at very reasonable prices. You have the Hawaii adjacent to Glarus which we have gone to every time we have been. Chinese restaurant across from old Globus hotel which I think is now four leaf not same type of curry sauce as home but is nice.. La Plazza which is up street past Kuban hotel up to main street straight across and up a bit further very nice especially pulled beef and mash. Chicken burger and chips. Kebab place at front entrance and bar front either side of bridge at Glarus is good. If anyone remembers Evo's Bar at Goldys restaurant at rhs of glarus it is no longer there. Thankfully Evo happened to see us from where he is now upstairs at the Euphoria lhs over from Glarus and came down to say hello. As said 2 weeks to go and had have already booked for 3 weeks next year at Glarus now we know what to expect. All in all the hotel is to sleep in but is nice and Bulgaria is cheap to eat out and people are nice so give it a chance. Will update on everall 3 week stay.

During our recent stay at the hotel my friend was unlucky to have an accident resulting in a broken pelvis, hip and kneecap half way through our 2 week stay. This happened because of a soaking wet bathroom floor with no hazard signs to indicate this. My friend also has brittle bones which made a fracture inevitable with such a bad fall. Just when we needed help most the hotel was not helpful. Both my friend and myself have mild learning disabilities and I have Autism which makes us naturally anxious and not getting help from the hotel didn’t help. I accept they don’t have personal care staff on site but the least they could have done is make contact with local health places who could help with my friends needs there as I’m not fluent in Bulgarian. In the absence of help I was forced to take on the role of personal carer which included helping with washing, getting in and out of bed, getting food and using the toilet. I am neither trained nor insured to do this and wasn’t comfortable doing it but had no choice. On top of this we were getting anxious about a fit to fly note as our return flight home was fast approaching. Both of us approached reception and found the receptionist was very rude which deeply upset me and the same person even swore at my friend. She later apologised after a telling off from the hotel manager and even went out of her way to help my friend go to the toilet in the middle of the night to save waking me up. This was a kind gesture of her but the memory cannot be undone. Some good points about the hotel, the manager was helpful to us, the pool was shallow and not too deep which is good for the kids and those not confident in swimming, food selection was good In summary a very bad experience which far outweighs the good points. Would not recommend this hotel.

After reading previous reviews we where very apprehensive to what we where turning up to, we where pleasantly surprised we had a ground floor in the side block of rooms what was perfect as travelling with a young child room had a face lift but bathroom was a little dated but nothing to affect our holiday as we don’t come away to have a party in the bathroom. We spent most the time round the child’s pool what is a good size perfect for our little girl but we did have to set an alarm to get a sun bed as by 7:30am they where all gone some groups would reserve alot of beds to the point nearly having arguments with other guests over sunbeds and not use them until late afternoon - life guards are very strict with the pool rules no large inflatables small child’s ring is fine and no ball games, childs kids club is not the best the regular girl was poorly so each day was someone new and was colouring in the morning and water game in the afternoon we saw a mini disco once our girl loved the drawing (she’s 4) but she loves drawing at home. We where bed and breakfast after reading previous reviews we are glad the breakfast wasn’t me/child lived on ceral and stale toast husband sampled other food and became badly sick so stuck with ceral afterwards This hotel caters for many different countries and finding any English people here is very rare at this hotel and not many staff speak English Perfect beach front location and close enough to main attractions of central sunny beach but far enough away so not hearing the main thud of nightlife every night, each night we could hear the bars karaoke but it never stopped us falling asleep at night. We changed some money at home but changed more out here and got a lot better exchange rate then we did at home so would take English money and exchange all out here Would we return to sunny beach 100% yes would we return here prob not as not much for our little girl to do in day/night
