The hotel is well located in the heart of Gusu district. There are many busy streets around with clothing stores and restaurants. The hotel itself is large. The check in was pleasant, as was checking out. There are some English speaking staff if speaking Chinese is not possible. We stayed in the Premier Queen room, which was completely fine. Comfy bed, working appliances. The only issue was that the tap in the sink was leaking for our whole stay. We probably should have brought it up. The pool is nice, a 5th floor open deck area. Unfortunately, it is only open after 4:30pm. They have a pretty decent gym, as far as wanting to exercise while staying in a hotel goes anyway. Fair to say we would gladly stay again if we chose to go back to Suzhou.

It's quite convenient. You can spend two or three days in Suzhou. Here, my dad felt that the hotel restaurant was the most satisfying meal he had. After checking in to the Xiangqu Twin Room booked in advance, the front desk upgraded me to a Superior Twin Room. The overall feeling was great! All details are in place, including complimentary tea and afternoon tea. When we first arrived at the hotel, it was very inconvenient that our mobile phones were out of battery and could not be turned on. When the luggage storage attendant in the lobby found out, he took out a spare charger and immediately solved the problem. He also took our luggage and led us to the designated room (I'm sorry that I didn't remember which one, thank you very much! ) The room is clean and tidy, there are complimentary sachets on the bedside table, fruits are delivered by the waiter in the evening, and there are guzheng and pipa performances in the lobby. The hotel is very clean and have free laundry which is a big plus for us! Staffs are friendly! It’s not on the main street so you need to go through a parking lot in order to see the hotel. Not many hotels near Guanqian Street had open windows, so I chose the Hanting Hotel with windows. The overall experience was good. The bad points are that there is a garbage station outside, and there will be the sound of garbage trucks in the middle of the night. It is noisy, but it does not last long, and the mattress is spring. After sleeping for three days, my back hurt for two days. . . Really popular old hotel, lots of people. Staff spoke English (which is not the norm in China). The hotel has a “theme”, not sure which theme it is (😂), but at least is not a copy-paste business hotel. Latin music was playing in the lobby. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Lots and lots of options. From rabbit candy to pork buns. The best thing is that it is included for free. The not so good part: room shows the age of the hotel. A bit dusty in some areas, bathroom door didn’t fully close. Leaving a considerable gap. My girlfriend and I had to take turns to use the toilet comfortably, but we were there only one night so it wasn’t a deal breaker. We got a really really good deal for the one night + breakfast, so I feel that its short comings can be excused.

Very good location, in the center of the old town, walking distance to Guangchien Street, easy access to subway system. I stayed three nights, very friendly and helpful staff, helped me getting around. I forgot to bring some of my pernal items that I left in my room, and I called them after two days of my departure, the staff immediately located my stuff and send them back to me via courier with n hour. They really impressed me. A big ”Thank you” to the hotel staff !

The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was a few hundred meters away from the subway station which was convenient to travel around the city. Upon check-in the staff were unfriendly and unprofessional. There were a few others checking in and the staff had no order in doing this. It was chaos. The lady at the check-in actually helped others who arrived after me to check-in first. It was very unprofessional and quite frustrating for us. I will not stay at this hotel nor would I recommend it to other friends, I'd rather stay at other hotels in the area.
