LunahonggThe room was incredibly spacious! I've never stayed in a Japanese hotel this large before. This place is perfect for a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle. The hotel is quiet, peaceful, and the room was huge and super comfortable. I felt completely relaxed after sleeping here. The ocean view was lovely to gaze at, and the atmosphere was wonderful. The staff were also very attentive, making me feel as warm and welcome as if I were staying at a lovely holiday home. Breakfast was delicious too. It's definitely a place I'd love to visit again.

Anonymous UserA Forbes five-star luxury resort. All rooms feature extra-large sea view balconies, and the terrace bathtub offers stunning sunset views. The private beach and infinity pool are perfect for photos. Breakfast ingredients are fresh, and the service is meticulous, making it ideal for a relaxing, do-nothing vacation.
Downsides: It's far from the city center, so renting a car for your entire stay is recommended. The resort grounds are relatively small with limited activities. The kids' club has age restrictions, so for children under three, there's not much to do besides playing in the pool.

The check in was very easy, as was finding the location along of the villa on the beach. The condo/villa is absolutely stunning with a view of the ocean that cannot be beat. We appreciated the gorgeous sunsets, the pool and soaking tub on the 2nd floor balcony, and the outstanding views of the beach and island (Yojima) in the distance. The beds were some of the most comfortable we slept in while in Japan. We deeply appreciated the amenities - breakfast and food delivery (sausages, veggies, fresh bread, eggs and drinks) upon arrival, and found the layout of the house was fantastic for our family of 5. With two sleeping areas downstairs (kids), and an upstairs master bedroom (parents), we had MORE than enough space. One thing we would have liked about the location description online is an understanding that there is VERY little near by in terms of restaurants, convenience stores, etc. Depending on the weather, not much is walkable within 15-20 minutes. We ate at the Taco Rice restaurant, and walked 30 minutes to a local supermarket, and we drove the other places we needed to go. Also, the general impression we got from the website was that you can access the beach directly from the villa - sort of a, ”walk out to the sand” idea. You cannot. There is a 6-foot wall that separates the bottom floor of the villa with the actual beach area (needed for water level rising during storms, we get that :))... but there is no way down without jumping, nor a path to the beach (from our #3/C Villa, at least). We ended up jumping down the retaining wall using their small gate, walking around to a local business area that had a clear path, and accessing the beach that way. This was fine, don't get me wrong. Also, while the view is spectacular (and it really is), there is a TON of rebar from a former construction project (unfinished, we asked around) that sticks up out of the ocean at low, or extremely low tide (both of which we experienced while visiting - the extremely low tide happens each new/full moon, we were told). When this occurs, the beach stretches for 550 yards. We were able to ”walk and explore” (careful of course of the coral!), but for 1.5 days, we had a view of tons and tons of rebar sticking straight out of the sand, that stretched for 100s of yards in each direction. Again, this did not ruin anything, but it would be nice to know when booking a pricey room. I think the views are outstanding, given the timing you take the photo :) Overall, we would likely not stay again for the price, but it was a relaxing and splurge-y way to get that Okinawa sunset in at the end of long trip (5 weeks) in Japan. We are grateful for this adventure and my shared experience in this review is simply to help families understand more about the property. We traveled in mid-July. Thank you!

Compared to hotels in the city center, this hotel is quite good for Okinawa overall.
The room is spacious, and it didn't feel cramped for two people. The room amenities and hotel facilities are all excellent.
The hotel service is great, and all the staff are very nice and try their best to meet our needs.
What I liked most was that you could book snorkeling directly through the hotel. After sending an email, I received a booking link, making online reservations very convenient. The tour departed directly from the hotel's pier, which was hassle-free. The snorkeling instructor was excellent, very patient, and had a great attitude. The hotel's water activities were super fun, and the jet ski instructor was fantastic and entertaining; we had an absolute blast.
For breakfast, we chose the buffet, which primarily offered Japanese and Western options. There weren't many Chinese dishes, and no noodle station.
There are several restaurants right outside the hotel along the street. The ones across the street have similar flavors. There's also a Lawson across the street, making it very convenient for dining and picking up small items.
The hotel is a bit far from Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, American Village, and Kokusai Street. American Village is about a 30-minute taxi ride (1 hour by bus), the aquarium is an hour by taxi, and Kokusai Street is over an hour by taxi. Taking the bus would be very time-consuming.

Good hotel, with a great room and ambience, and has great lobby lounge and free drinks, the pool is also amazing.
Hotel service is good, but can slightly improve to be even better, as staff seems a little unsure in English sometimes but they do try their best so that is nice, mainly just nitty gritty details can be improved (e.g. no one waiting at the hotel drop off during arrival, or staff just watching us unload the luggage ourselves, or not leading us to the hotel lobby but instead having us walk ahead and figure out where to go). Also note that there is no gym / workout facilities. Location might also be a little hard to locate as you need to go into a small alley up hill, and the entrance is located in sort of a back alley of another hotel, but it does eventually open up to a small drop off.
Car park is great though, direct to room. And the room again is 10/10.
Overall, a good stay experience, will go back again for the good, comfortable and spacious room.

Just as you'd expect from a Hoshino Resort property. The place was spotless, and the amenities were excellent. Beyond the in-house cafe, the food trucks parked outside offered a great variety of dining options, giving guests more freedom of choice. My only slight surprise was finding a small insect in the room, but given the natural surroundings, it's probably unavoidable.

HofamilyOutstanding Family Resort Experience
We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this resort to families visiting Okinawa.
The service throughout our stay was excellent. Every staff member we encountered was warm, helpful, and genuinely committed to making our holiday memorable.
One of the best decisions we made was purchasing the Savvy Club package. It offered excellent value through discounts on restaurants and activities, and an added bonus was that lunch and dinner were complimentary for children under 12. For families, this made a significant difference and enhanced the overall experience.
The range of activities available was truly impressive. Beyond the usual water sports, there were opportunities for snorkeling, diving, and unique marine life programs. Our children especially loved the experiences with the sea turtles and dolphins, which became the highlight of the trip and created memories they will talk about for years to come. Swimming with the dolphins was particularly special and an experience we will never forget.
Another standout feature was the indoor water park. It was a huge hit with our children and provided the perfect alternative when the weather was either rainy or simply too hot to be outdoors. Having such a high-quality indoor facility meant there was always something fun for the kids to do regardless of the conditions.
What stood out most was the level of care shown by the staff. As we had a very early flight on our departure day, we informed the hotel that we would be checking out before breakfast service started. Without hesitation, they kindly prepared breakfast bento boxes for our family to take with us. It was a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflected the hotel’s exceptional hospitality.
From the facilities and activities to the outstanding service, this was one of our favourite family holidays. The children are already asking when we can come back, which says it all.

I saw reviews mentioning the North Building being older, but my stay there this time completely changed my mind. The facilities are well-maintained, and the room was quite spacious, with plenty of room in the bathroom, bedroom, and balcony!
The breakfast selection was relatively limited, and the dishes didn't change much over my two-day stay, but it was acceptable.
The hotel is very close to the beach; you step right out onto it, and the sea view is perfect. The water is clear, and the swimming area is open until 5:30 PM, after which swimming is not allowed. To use amenities like beach chairs, golf, water kayaking, and the sauna (seven or eight items in total), you need to purchase a pass at check-in, which then grants free use. Other water activities like snorkeling require an extra fee (you can rent life jackets, goggles, and snorkels to snorkel independently in the hotel's sea area, and there are quite a few small fish near the reefs).
Notably, the hotel's seaside boardwalk is beautiful! Few people venture there, especially at sunset, when the scenery is absolutely stunning.
The maga zip line charges hotel guests the same as other visitors, which is interesting. It's definitely worth trying.

Linda-jingqingThis hotel is perfectly located on Okinawa's Cape Manza, with a direct shuttle bus from the airport right to the lobby, making transport super convenient and quick. The rooms are fully equipped, clean, and tidy. The balcony offers an amazing sea view, perfect for watching both sunrise and sunset. It's also very close to the beach, allowing for stunning views of the crystal-clear 'glass' sea and white sandy beach up close. The breakfast spread is rich and varied. There's a dedicated shuttle service to the beach club, and all the amenities you could need are provided. The staff are very friendly, and the foreign supervisor is exceptionally dedicated. The Intercontinental brand truly lives up to its reputation, catering to the needs of diverse guests. Thumbs up! Five-star rating!
