GGuest UserI'd previously stayed at the Model J at Jakarta Airport and it was quite good. This time, seeing a new location in the BSD area, home to the Indonesia International Convention Center, I decided to give it a try. It was surprisingly different. The hotel lobby is located in the parking lot on the third floor. The logo and colors are very different from the airport location; the blue and white look more stable. The entire hotel is built atop a shopping mall, and across from it are what appear to be condominiums owned by the mall itself.
The front desk recommended three unique, but limited, deluxe king rooms: one with a larger area and a larger bed (I heard it's 2.7 meters), and one with a private balcony offering unparalleled city views and stunning night views. I chose the one with the unparalleled night view, probably because I'm a member and didn't pay extra for the upgrade.
The room was clean and hygienic. Hot water came out instantly when I showered and washed my hands. The toilet seat was smart, and the hair dryer was excellent, better than most in Indonesia. The desk was also very reliable, perfect for holding meetings. Mineral water was provided in the room, and the pillows were very comfortable for someone with cervical issues. There was a QR code at the headboard that activated AI to request room service—quite novel, and it actually worked. There's also a self-service laundry room, a rarity in Indonesia, on the 12th floor.
Breakfast is served in the dining area next to the reception on the 3rd floor. It offers a Singaporean-style set menu of toast, coffee, and eggs, along with some local Indonesian dishes. I'm not usually particular about the selection on business trips, but it was quite good, filling, and quick to finish, so I even ordered some extra.
The most surprising thing was the swimming pool and gym. This is truly a top-tier apartment, and other hotels of the same star rating don't have these features. The security guard even opened the door to the office space nearby, perfect for meetings or work.
The mall downstairs has several restaurants that are uncrowded but each has its own unique flair. The Singaporean cuisine is good, as is the coffee shop. About 100 meters to the right, there's a place called A-Mei that serves Malaysian and Singaporean dishes. It's a rare Chinese restaurant that satisfies me with both flavor and portion size. It was more than enough for a few days' stay.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is great overall, probably because it is still new. The design is modern and simple with a bit of contemporary art touches in some areas. The room has a decent size and they provide these little bolsters to suit the Indonesian culture, which is nice. The hotel facilities are decent, the gym has the necessary exercise equipment. The swimming pool is nice though a bit small. They also offer quite a variety of food for breakfast and in-room food service. Location is also nice, there is a restaurant next to the hotel and just a walk away from The Breeze. Overall, it is slightly beyond my expectation of what I thought of ibis hotels. The only downside is the hotel lobby that is a bit far and inconvenient to get to from the car park area, though they try to compensate this by having a buggy car to send you from the lobby to car park (not the other way around).

EEzraChaiThis is my secind time staying at Episode. Love the deco and vibe of the hotel. Super comfy bed and this time round, I had good sleep since noises from the street is not audible. Location is convenient for those having appointments around Tangerang, Setia Alam, Gading Serpong, and Kebun Jeruk.
Managed to discover more eateries in this area!

SSavitri DjRoom: Since the accommodation is actually apartment that is available for daily rental, there is no daily cleaning, no daily towel changes, and no breakfast. However, the room is quite large and neat for the price. Especially, there is a tiny balcony with a view of the city.
Facilities: For those who enjoy swimming, they have a long and spacious pool. There is also a gym with fairly comprehensive facilities. Also, since the ground floor has tenants including a minimarket, coffee shop, and laundry it is very convenient.
Location: Not secluded and on the main road. It's close to ICE BSD, so if you need to attend an event there, it would be an excellent choice. You don't have to worry about breakfast because there is a coffee shop nearby that serves it as well.
I wouldn't stay here for a long time, but I don't mind to return for another quick trip (one or two nights).

GGuest UserThe studio room refered by the listing,resembles close to a superior sized hotel room with a queen size bed, a small desk corner and a small kitchenette by the door entrance, equipped with a well functioning fridge.
For the price value point, i would say the room listing is worth the room, location, and POLITENESS of the service rendered (yes... Just the politeness, but efficiency wise..... I'll explain)
Anyone who is looking to book this room for future conveniencies near the BSD ICE... MAKE SURE you are familiar with the malay/indo language... Or at least have an indonesian number or friend... As it would turn out to be a nightmare for the international guests...
Before the check-in date, you'll be approached through trip.com's message channel by the vendor who will ask you for your check-in time and check-out time. Why? Because this isn't a hotel, and the reception counter staff under the apartment isn't the check-in person in charge ..... It is actually managed by a third-party called travelio, a local travel agency within Jakarta.
Summarised:
1. They will ask you to download the travelio app (language available in english and indonesian only), to process your check-in and submit deposit through there. However, my problem was, i was unable to input my booking ref & pin (information sent to your email after booking) due to ”incomplete profile information error” which would lead me to thinking it was verifying my phone number (your travelio account becomes unable to verify after 3 failed OTP attempts, which the OTP never arrives regardless of choosing sms or whatsapp)
2. Their travelio support team and customer service, only allows communication through whatsapp texts, no calls. Meaning... U might have to wait while you panic.
3. Throughout the whole nighmare checkin process, they insist on downloading the travelio app. (Suspicious for trip.com to have included a 3rd party travel agency, but things happen, and my experience with trip.com ended on a good note with professional staffs trying to follow up on a consistent basis)
Regarding the room small problems found which i shared with the travelio agent as well:
1. The bedsheets had several yellow stains, but no bedbugs and foul smell detected.
2. Entrance door can only be locked using a normal key, and the key was slightly out of shape, making it hard to lock from the outside.
3. There was no hot water for showering.
4. If you book the room for long stay, do note this is not a hotel, so there will be no daily housekeeping and replenishment of amenities provided (body soap, shampoo and dishwashing liquid in a small 50ml bottle. NOTE: the shampoo and body soap do smell nice, but they do not foam up. It is better to buy them in a small indomart located just underneath the apartment)
5. There is no water kettle. You will have to boil it like you are cooking :D
In conclusion: Book this place if you have experience with travelio or well versed with indonesian language (they did reach out to me in english after some time, but the efficiency takes way too long). The travelio people whom i have met are very polite, but when it comes to check out.... As they do not have a person in charge at the apartment, it means you do not have the flexibility of checking out whenever you want... And that means, pay close attention to what time your flight is.

Local agent is not proffesionaly handle customer.
We try to check in at appointed time at the hotel but no body to handle during check in.
We keep on calling to Customer service and the answer also keep on changing .
Finally somebody come to see me but not in proper dress, not recognized from which company.
This guy asked me to wait for 15 minutes since the hotel room is not ready, as they need to top up electricity etc, and we have to wait another 45 minutes.
After checking in another problem comes :
The main door in unable to be locked,, TV not is not working and lastly the air condition was leaking ,, they promised to refund for my deposit Rp200 thousand in 1-3 days working days,, but till todate no money refund yet. Hopefully they can keep promise for refund.

GGuest UserThe room type is pretty good, and the hygiene is acceptable. The only problem is that you need to get the key from the box downstairs. Overall, it is pretty good, and the price-performance ratio is okay. It is relatively convenient to eat, drink and shop, and there is a business district downstairs.
