We attended a conference and was due to eat in one of the restaurants with other delegates for an evening meal. However, due to my partners medical condition we asked if we could possibly take our meal in the bar. I think I spoke to the deputy manager and if he isn't the deputy manager he ought to be and he needs to be promoted to manager which he may already be! His name was Richard (Bowen?) and he was so helpful. He served our meal promptly and politely never making us feel we were giving him extra work. A big thank you and well done to him for such good service.

We stayed this weekend on a special deal from My Hotel Break. Lovely surroundings and easy to find. We had a horrendous journey from Kent to get there and we're quite tired on arrival. We didn't want dinner and decided that we would have sandwiches when we had settled in. No room service and on enquiring about sandwiches we were informed that this stopped at 6pm. There is no information booklet in the rooms to make visitors aware of this. Room was nice, pleasant to have balcony to sit on. Bathroom housekeeping left a lit to be desired as black mould on ceiling, walls and behind taps, towel rail would benefit from a clean as would the back of the bathroom door. Paintwork in corridors would welcome a clean too, as would the arms of fabric chairs in bar. We had problems with intermittent television signal in our room which, being the weekend wasn't addressed, but we were asked if we would like to move rooms to one with a better signal. However, having said all this, would we stay again? Yes we would, lovely setting, staff are very helpful. As a side note it would be nice to have more than one option for vegetarians on the menu.

The hotel staff were very friendly, but the quality of the room was dated. There was hair in my plug hole and the towels were dirty but only noticed once I had come out of the shower so had to use a hand towel instead! Only stayed one night as was at a conference but stayed here before and this was my second experience of being less than impressed. The corridor also smelt of smoke which was not very nice. Bed was ok, not the best nights sleep… I think next time I will stay somewhere else

Great location just off the M54, easy to find and excellent free parking for guests. The hotel is modern and pleasant and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely with a king size bed, large tv, coffee machine and mini fridge, plenty of phone charging sockets and something I miss in a lot in hotels these days; a small dressing table area. The bathroom was spacious with a large walk in shower. We only stayed one night but wish it had been longer. The breakfast area was large and spacious with a great selection of cereals, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cheese and cold meets along with a wonderful selection for a cooked breakfast. I'm just sorry that we didn't have time to use the spa facilities which looked excellent. I can't recommend the hotel enough!
Holiday Inn Telford - Ironbridge

Having read some recent negative reviews I was not expecting much but from my scores it was first class. Good easy to get to place and just a short walk to the main town, we arrived early but were able to check in - very friendly reception staff and gave us all the information we needed. All areas from reception to bar and corridors were well presented and clean and modern look, the room on ground floor was a good size with all facilities required [ nice touch Steph the house keeper left a lovely note ] We had a window which opened and nice green space looking towards a park. very quiet room. Leisure facilities were first class and not over busy (you did have to book the pool but not an issue}. Service at the bar was quick and staff very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was very good with good selection of hot and cold food. One stand out point was the hotel was well staffed which helped make for a first class experience.

We stayed on a spur of the moment decision having spent the previous night just outside Bridgnorth . The lovely lady at reception ( Donna ) was polite , funny , very helpful and informative . We asked for a double room , but were only able to book a family room , the additional cost was not worth worrying about and gave us more space in the room . Our room was clean with everything easy to see or find . When i enquired about eating out , I was guided into Shifnal , less than five minutes away by car and found exactly what we wanted ( Tapas bar ) . Even though the hotel was quite full , it was very peaceful & we could hear no traffic noise or any noise from the car park area . Everything was clean & tidy , staff a credit to the company and we will gladly book & stay again . A peaceful place to rest our weary bodies after a hard days enjoying ourselves Thank you Donna :)
