I think it’s important to start a review by explaining our holiday. We are a young couple both mid 20’s. We were looking for a relaxing holiday but also for some activities and nice food while we were in Corfu. We arrived and were checked in by the lovely staff behind reception (they are all lovely) and went to our room. We were disappointed at first. We booked a sea view room, we were placed in a room next to the elevator so our room was considerably smaller than other sea view rooms. We paid the same price but our bathroom was significantly smaller and our room could fit a bed and a wardrobe. So we were disappointed to say the least. The room was nice, bed is very comfy, big TV (tv has BBC news). However, the walls were very thin and next door was incredibly load from 11:30 onwards. You can hear everything as there is an connecting door. We went to reception and asked to be moved as our room was smaller than advertised (can see it’s smaller than other rooms due to the fire escape plan) and that next door was loud! They said they had no spare rooms and refused to move us, which in truth is understandable, however, disappointing. The pool area is lovely, nice sun beds, the bar is really good and friendly! The pool is not massive however, it was never busy and it was fine. There is also the infinity pool down the side of the hotel and that is a lot quieter and more relaxing. The beach is more decking however the sea is beautiful and the decked area is lovely, could use a bar down there or somewhere to get drinks. The hotel has some boards to use in the sea and it was lovely and quiet. The sea is incredibly clear! Food was ok. Breakfast was the same thing everyday so gets a little bit boring and there isn’t a massive selection. There also needs to be more juice. They only have an orange juice machine that is a bit fiddly putting oranges in and waiting for them to be squeezed. Would be nice to have some apple, pineapple etc. The breakfast room is also very hot if you can’t sit in the side with blinds. Lunch you can get from the pool bar and the food was fantastic! Lots of options and all of them very tasty and fast coming! Dinner in the hotel was the biggest disappointment. We only had dinner one night as we felt it wasn’t good value for money. The options were very basic, the food was cold and the atmosphere in there was stale and the staff working in there were pretty lazy in all honestly. We had to go up and ask for a drink after about 20 minutes of watching them talk to each other. We were more disappointed because lunch is so nice we couldn’t understand why there was such a difference in the type and Quality of food. To get anywhere from the hotel you need to get a bus or taxi as the hotel is isolated from a town or Corfu town. The hotel were good at ordering a taxi for us and it cost about €15 to get to Benitses, a little town with places to eat and get drinks. It was €25 to get to Corfu town which is busier and more shops etc. the

Agree with previous review from Sharon’s review Hotel very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly The view from the room was amazing watching the planes Not enough sun beds with umbrellas round the pool and nothing else for children to do No availability to buy ice cream except from the supermarket Only a few tavernas in walking distance from the hotel although there was a bus stop right outside to take you to Benites and Corfu town

The Ray Hotel was a lovely place to stay, staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed on a B n B basis and could not fault what was on offer. The pool area was perfect with a nice bar and food on offer. Sea view room was amazing, even with the planes going past, added to the experience. Although Paramaribo is a quiet place, easy enough to hop on a bus into Corfu Town or Benitsis. I would happily go back to this hotel and use Jet2 for the holiday.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Photos make the pool area look so much bigger than it is, but it is clean and tidy, if a little hemmed in. There is incessant music played too loudly around the pool which TOTALLY ruined the p&q we needed. The whole hotel is very chic and well planned. Staff are friendly and helpful, particularly the girls on reception. Food was terrific. Imaginative, fresh and plentiful. I would definitely recommend going half board as you’re quite isolated, even though you’re on the main costal road - nowhere pleasant to stroll to, really, in the evening and only a short stretch of footpath to use. That said, because of it position on the main road, the bus is at the top of the drive and takes you into Corfu town quickly and cheaply. (Taxis are very expensive). Cocktails from the pool bar are - reasonable €7, though the pizzas are an amazing €17 (too much for us!) There will be a roof-top bar in the future, which will have fantastic views - I hope they don’t have the music pumping out all the time, as it will not make for a peaceful night! The views from the balcony and restaurant are terrific, definitely get a sea views if you can. Transfer from airport was about 20 mins. “Private beach” may be stretching it a bit - there is a bathing platform for the hotel with many many steps down - worth it, as it’s just delightful down there. If only there were steps into the sea, because as with all the coast on this stretch of the island, it’s got very sharp shingle on the edge of the bathing platform as well as slippy concrete…very awkward to get into. I really hope they don’t put music down there. Astoundingly clear water. The infinity pool is probably 10mx2m but it is lovely. Room was great, Mini fridge with new bottled water daily. Shower is fantastic.

We had the most relaxing holiday ever here. I would come here over and over again! So peaceful!! If you want a holiday where there's no entertainers on your back and you just want to be left alone then I'd say this is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. There's also options to go paddle boarding down at the beach for free. Overall, the hotel was unreal and so relaxing. The only thing i'd say is the drains seemed to have a funny smell after the room had been cleaned but it would quickly go if you leave the patio door open for a couple of hours! This may of been sorted now - we went in Aug 2023. Also bonus, the restaurant across the road that we visited everyday for lunch had loads of kittens at night time :)

A lovely hotel and lovelt staff. The rooms were nice and everything was spotless. The food was excellent and varied. Dinner there had 2 meat and a fish main with veg, pasta. Starter was plenty of choice and the dessert had about 8 different items as well as cheese and fruit. Breakfast had the usual stuff like cheese, scrambled eggs, Omellette, sausages etc but there was also cereal, fruit yoghurt, fresh honey from the beehive slats. The catering was really good. The wine was good all round. Because it was the last week of the season, the outside bar closed at 6pm and there wasn't any bars open near the hotel. I would strongly recommend people to go to this hotel. You can see the planes coming in to land but they werent disturbing and you could see the main land of Greece opposite. Early mornings was a good site with the sun rising, but you need a sea view for this, which we had. Very peaceful and tranquil morning view.

Our first time staying here - just for 3 nights as we were island hopping. Pros: - lovely reception staff, very friendly and helpful. - clean, modern rooms with all the facilities we needed. - we were upgraded to a villa suite with a private pool which was big! And good outside space. - food was good, plentiful buffet and nice breakfast selection. - nice decked area to access the sea. Cons: - we were told we had been given a room upgrade to a villa (which was very nice), however this meant that we had to stay in the courtesy room for one of our three nights. This room was ok, but smelt a bit like drains! And the shower didn’t drain so bathroom almost flooded. - reception staff said that the rooms we had originally booked were ‘very noisy’ and we ‘didn’t really want to stay in those’ which we felt was a weird comment from people who worked there. - take ear plugs since the hotel is VERY close to the flight path. Very noisy throughout the day and night. - car parking quite limited and very crammed for less confident drivers abroad. - music near the pool was good, but the playlist only had around 10 songs on it which meant that the same 10 songs were repeated every 15 minutes. There’s only so many times you can listen to Ed Sheeran in a row - a small problem but if you’re planning to sit by the pool for the day this is very annoying. - our room had only one plug socket! Overall a very pleasant stay but with these small things taken into account it could have been perfect!

A modern and stylish hotel. Very friendly staff, perfect if you're looking for a place where you don't even have to leave the hotel. The surroundings are very atmospheric, and the private beach area is excellent. BUT, if you're looking for peace and quiet, unfortunately, I have to say this won't be the right place. The walls of the rooms and the separating doors are made of paper. It filled me with nostalgia for university dorms as you can hear EVERYTHING from the neighboring room. Unfortunately, this can be quite disturbing if you're not used to it. Compared to this, the airplanes are nothing. The breakfast is mediocre. But overall, I gladly recommend it to anyone seeking active or passive relaxation.

Beautiful Seaview room, which was kept clean everyday, as were all the amenities in the hotel. Pool, pool bar, loungers and seating areas all clean, all day! Service from breakfast & pool bar was exceptional. All over a luxurious stay for a relaxing holiday. A few local tavernas were good, the one opposite the hotel is amazing! If you want peace and relaxation, this is the place to go. A nice little supermarket next door to the hotel, for most things you need. Corfu town and Benitses are a small bus ride away, with a bus stop right outside the hotel. But for the more adventurous, a car/bike hire place is opposite the hotel. We did hire a bike, and saw some gorgeous corfu villages, olive tree orchards and Seaviews. The causeway to the monestry is a must, watching the planes come in and fly out is certainly amazing! Great coffee, great cocktails, great food, sunshine and happy, freindly Service everywhere we visited! And you must try... the kumquat liquor!!!
