Richmond Hotel Premier Tokyo Schole

Tokyo|0.98km from Battledore Museum
Facilities: The software and hardware are good. There is room-specific WiFi information on the TV. Although the room is not big, it is equipped with smart toilet, bathtub, refrigerator, ice bucket, and hot water kettle, which is very convenient. You don’t need to prepare your own toiletries. Women’s makeup remover cotton, cotton swabs, cleansing oil, facial cleanser, and lotion can be picked up in the 5F lobby. They are all in independent small bags in travel size. They are hygienic and convenient. The brands are also good, including Sekkisei and Paula. Brands; men's razors and shaving cream are also available; as well as various types of bath salts, children's slippers, and toothpaste, the hotel provides them. Another special mention is that the hotel does not provide pajamas, but cotton pajamas. You can change into seat clothes directly after playing, which is very comfortable and saves you having to bring your own pajamas. Hygiene: Overall it's pretty good, except that the bathroom may have a bit of a smell occasionally due to poor ventilation, but it's acceptable. Environment: The hotel has a good environment inside and outside. It is quiet in the bustle. Opposite is the Sky Tree and a large shopping mall. It is convenient for eating and shopping. We must check in at the supermarket downstairs of the hotel every day when we come back. Milk, beer, and water are cheaper than convenience stores. Transportation: For those who travel, this location is very convenient. There are three subway stations just across the street from downstairs. There is a direct railway to Narita Airport, and the total journey is 1 hour and 7 minutes. It is very, very close to Ueno and Asakusa. If you want to go to other attractions, you can transfer It is also very convenient to go directly by bus. Especially for tourists with Disney itineraries, there is a bus stop behind the Sky Tree just 5 minutes' walk downstairs from the hotel. It takes 1 hour to go directly to Disney. The bus is very clean and provides wifi, restrooms, and USB chargers.

Juyoh Hotel

Ueno/Asakusa/Ryougoku Tokyo|1.35km from Battledore Museum
For an inexpensive place to stay in Tokyo, I did not have my hopes up, but they were better than my expectations. There are both western and Japanese style rooms. Size is quite smallish but comfortable enough. Rooms each have AC, fridge, and desk light. One thing missing is a clock. Room cleaning was nonexistent of course, at this hotel rate. You have to go to the lobby to exchange your towel. The whole place has an old 80's apartment building feel to it, and has some unsightly things like AC ducts running across the hallway ceilings, plus just one elevator for the whole place, but nothing intolerable. There is a lobby area, plus a kitchen, as well as a small outdoor patio for the nicotine addicts. There are a lot of budget European travelers staying at the hotel. The lobby has 2 PCs you can use, though one seems to run Linux and is so old and slow it's unusable. There is also a large TV and many Japan travel books/pamphlets you can read. The lobby and each floor has a microwave, plus free green tea & instant coffee. The location has several good and not so good points. It's about a 10 minute walk south of Minami-Senju Station in the northwest part of Tokyo. Minami-Senju has both a subway line as well as JR, and there is both a McDonalds and Burger King there for some quick cheap food at the start or end of your day if you want. It's about 5-10 minutes by train or subway to Ueno Station. The walk down Rte 464 to the hotel also is crammed with other inexpensive hotels and hostels, so you really have a wide choice of places to stay (see google maps), but the Juyoh Hotel is the furthest away. It is next door to a convenience store though, and you pass 2 others on the way to the hotel from the station, so that is good. It is also across the street from a supermarket, so for the budget-conscious it is a major coup. The showers and toilet room are very clean. Bottom Line: Yes I would stay there again. Some tips: Ask for a room on the back side of the hotel - those facing the main street can get a lot of traffic noise. Since their electric furnishings take up nearly all the electric outlets, bringing your own extension cord and multi-plug adapter would help you a lot. You don't need to buy detergent if you wash your clothes (they provide it). Boarding a train before 7:30 AM on weekdays will save your sanity - or wait til after 9 AM to avoid the rush hour mayhem.

This hotel is very close to Sensoji Temple and Skytree, and there is a 711 convenience store within 150 meters. The hotel facilities are relatively new and complete. There is a part-time clerk reception downstairs. It is very friendly and caring. It is raining outside. We specially found a small umbrella for children. Every day from 11 pm to 23 pm, a clerk is on duty. You can also check in by yourself. If you want to eat, you can go to the street near APA hotel to eat more. It is recommended to get off at Shinagawa Station in Tokyo by Shinkansen, which is relatively close to the hotel.

We stay 6 nights in this hotel and travelling with child. The location is good, quiet near Sumida Park and Tokyo Sky Tree. Not far away from convenient store and Subway Station. Walk to Oshiage Station and Tokyo Sty Tree is around 10 minutes and convenient store (7 Eleven) around 5 minutes. If you prefer a quiet place to stay this hotel is recommend. The room small but have a full facilities, microwave, washing machine, electric boiler and the room have bathtub, bathroom very clean. However in the bedroom they provided us a futon as no bed available. Piyawadee Kheawsanarm.

Living on the fourth floor, there is no elevator, the stairs are very narrow, it is difficult to get a large suitcase, this is very important. Living on the fourth floor, there is a toilet room on the fourth floor, and the bath can only be taken to the third floor...

We loved our stay at this hotel. We stayed for 4 nights and found the staff to be lovely (all spoke english), very helpful with navigating this amazing yet busy city. The rooms were very funky, although one of the double rooms somewhat on the smaller side as pictured but there was enough space for suitcases etc. The rooftop offered beautiful views. The hotel was close to supermarkets as well as skytree (worthwhile visiting and paying to go to the top for beautiful views over tokyo at night). It was in walking distance to Skytree train station with easy access to all of the major train lines. We tried the breakfast on a few occasions which wasn't cheap however offered a range of japanese and continental options. We loved our stay here and would recommend to anyone travelling to Japan!

Close to the station, the apartment is tidy and neat. Can hear some noise (i.e. opening/closing the door) during the night. More than enough space for a couple.
