Outside it is almost unnoticed because the facade is small, but as soon as you get to the reception, you see everything is new and even respecting visible archaeological remains. We often forget that the stars of a hotel are given by the services it offers and not by quality and this is one of those cases where it has nothing to do with its quality with the stars it has. We can consider it a three-star and even better than some of four, it is true that it has no coffee shop, though it has a dispenser in reception, but there is no problem with breakfast around. Well the hotel is basically fine but we had some issues. We had a delux room which was very large. Bathroom was also large but somewhat dated. Common areas and breakfast fine. During our stay keys did not work 2 of 4 days, power died in our room only one day, safe would not open and it took a maintenance visit to open it, on day 4 the main pool was milky green and the room air conditioning was marginal the whole stay. It only became tolerable when the staff selected ac dial positions that clearly said don't use? Maintenance does not appear to be at the 5 star level. Underground hotel parking at 11E /day.

The hotel has been created with exceptional sensitivity and imagination from seven old town houses, in the heart of the city hard by the cathedral. Our room ”deluxe with views” had two windows giving a spectacular panorama of rooftops, mountains and monuments, lovely to wake to in morning sunshine. It was very spacious and could have done with some drawers and coat hooks, not to mention advice on how to switch beytween rain shower and hand held (tip: you have run the bath to then switch to hand shower). This is a fairly new hotel and staff try hard to sort out problems when they arise - special credit here to Maria. Breakfast is in a relaxed space with both natural and tasteful artificial light. Variety is strong but hot food in containers was lukewarm to cold, and the eggs made to order were run of the mill and in one case delivered very late without explanation or apology. Generally, service at breakfast is pleasant but uninspired. Overall a great place to stay in Toledo, and for now, value looks good too.

Then my wife was stolen in a private room on the 2nd floor and with a sergeant controlling access to the buffet, the thief or the thiefs passing through reception went to the buffet room was talking to the sergeant q controlling access (Because I saw it and I confirm it) and yet I don't know why they left him staying in the room (to me asked about the room to go) and in a disorder they stole our pocket. Let’s start with the positive: the location. That’s literally the only positive thing about this place. Rooms are very loud (prepare yourself for hearing the neighboring rooms guests sneezes, bowel movements, etc.), outdated, and worn down. The walls are discolored, have random holes in them, and generally seem really shabby. Breakfast (which we paid extra for) was an experience. There were two pieces of stale toast (and the “breakfast buffet” was not being refilled as things were running out), and except for some honey, butter and jams there was only one type of meat to eat with bread. There were also some croissants and pain au chocolat - clearly store bought, far from fresh, and very chewy. No “standard breakfast items” like scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, etc. If you can - stay somewhere else. We paid over $200 a night and had a terrible stay. If you should still choose to stay here - bring earplugs, and don’t pay extra for breakfast - go literally any where else to eat.

The hotel is located next to the Old Pisa Gate, on the left side of the road to the old city, pay attention. The interior of the hotel is beautiful, but the rooms are small and sanitary. The hotel is close to the bus station, about 10 minutes walk, all are slope roads, a bit tired. It's a bit far from the old town. There is a convenience store on the right 200 meters ahead of the hotel, opened by a Chinese, and the proprietress is very nice. Still recommended.
