One of the worse experiences one could have in terms of hospitality service in Lebanon: 1. We booked a room for 4 persons plus an extra bed, yet, we got 2 towels and a restroom that directly opens to one of the beds 2. Breakfast is ridiculously poorly presented with too little options 3. Breakfast is offered in a dark setting and we had to find the light switches to turn on 4. We kept sweating in the restaurant while staff could enjoy their fan on 5. Sugar sachets were kept in drawers and only provided upon demand without stirrers. Salt shakers were not available at the tables. Cups were scratched and unappealing. Coffee is terrible and no green tea was available and the list goes on 6. A sound of running water kept us awake all night 7. The air conditioner was not properly functioning 8. When requesting a late check out for one of the 2 rooms we had booked, we were offered to stay no longer than 12:30 - 1 PM 9. At 320$ for a room + 20$ extra bed; we deserve a much better experience! You are a shame to the Lebanese hospitality sector!

We went to dar alma for a quick coffee break. We were seated by the water in a small and cute area. It's a small variety of desserts but so worth the view. The hotel is located in a lovely alley inside the city where the nightlife actually happens. I didn't get the privilege of sleeping there but would definitely try it on my next visit. Very cute hotel.

Disliked · They didn’t clean my room on the first day even though I put out the sign to have my room cleaned. I came back in the evening to a messy room with no bottled water to drink. They wouldn’t give black tea in the room, said I could only order it. There was only a caffeine-free tea selection in the room. They didn’t come to collect the food from room service on the first night so the plates were still outside on the floor in the morning. The last day of my stay there was no water at all in the room. They offered to let me shower in a different room but this was not practical. I understand the situation in Lebanon; I live here, but a hotel cannot charge 5 star prices ($350 per night) if they are unable to provide 5 star service. I won’t stay there again. Also the restaurant has gone way down hill since last year.

Easily one of Lebanon;s most charming boutique hotels. Dar Alma is situated in the lovely Christian Quarter, right on the seafront. The hotel exudes a nautical a**osphere, from its blue and white decor to the ocean facing restaurant and private swimming spot. A night's stay costs around 200 USD.

A small spot in a quiet place with the sound of the waves is an incredible thing, this beautiful place, but our day was not complete with the quality of the food, because the quality of the food is not worth its price, as it is less. We ordered many dishes, but the worst thing was the seafood dish that needs more work, taste and leveling. On the contrary, last year everything was great. We hope you can improve.

We spent almost 4 days here and this place almost became our home in Lebanon! Since it is located in such a quaint neighborhood and in the heart of old town the whole stay was uber romantic and cozy. Add to that the homely hospitality that we were showered with made the stay even more serene and relaxing. The sweet rhythms produced by the sound of the waves lashing against the rocks below the balcony ere so calming they almost felt meditative. This was a retreat we will always come back to. LOCATION: Excellent location right next to the water(and the room almost right above it). You are only a quick walk away from all key points of interest. DINE + DRINK: The restaurant with its terrace over the water was one of the highlights of the entire trip to Tyre. Warm hospitality, delicious local cuisine, fine wine, caressing beach breeze and mind blowing water views. ROOM: We stayed in JUNIOR SUITE 02, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Million dollar views of the ocean and ancient ruins right next to it. ; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Wonderful spa quality cosmetics FACILITIES: No gym or pool on site, just pure Mediterranean chill! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to HUSSEIN at the front desk who took care of all our needs and requirements promptly, and MARIE JOSE at the restaurant who hosted us wonderfully during dinner and breakfast. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: this is one of the biggest downers of this property. The internet is just terrible and never went above 600kbps throughout our stay. Felt like we were teleported to the days of Dial up connection. THe TV had a good selection of channels surprisingly. So it is a great place to chill but not ideal to work unless you have a strong Mobile internet like we did.
