Very poor value for money! This is a big hotel in the center of Vang Vieng. No charm. Yes some rooms have a nice view, although not directly on the river. It was definitely not as good as on the pictures. The bathroom looked relatively old. Overall it’s nothing too bad, but very very overpriced. The night before we stayed in Riverside Boutique Hotel for the same price range, and it was much much better.

The first three days of my stay passed without incident. Everything was decent. Then on my last couple of nights, I had some negative experiences. First of all, they ran out of hot water on both of the final nights I stayed there. I had been told during check in to call 0 if I had any issues, so I did, but the line did not connect. Since I was halfway through my shower, I came downstairs in a bathrobe and asked about the water situation. I was told everyone was using the hot water at the same time, which is why I didn't get any to my room, and that I could wait 15 minutes for hot water. When I asked about the extension for reception, I was told to try 120 instead of 0 because some rooms were set up differently. I went back up and waited almost an hour. Still no hot water, and water pressure was super low. I tried to phone down, but once again, the number didn't work. So I went downstairs again to ask, but the issue still hadn't been solved. I was offered use of the pool shower, which I declined because by this time I was tired and ready for bed. The next day, I once again tried to shower past 9pm and again, there was very little hot water. The water was lukewarm. Because nights in Vang Vieng get cold, I couldn't bring myself to have a lukewarm shower. Secondly, besides the hot water issues, I also had a bath towel that had an orangey stain on it. Not sure what it was, but this is the reason the cleanliness score is only 3. Everything else was fine and clean enough. Breakfast was OK, I suggest you eat earlier around 7-8 otherwise the rice and other food gets cold and unpleasant. I was offered a free ride to the train station as compensation for the hot water issue, which was nice. Still, though, as someone who showers before bed, I wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel is located on the banks of the Nansong River. You can see the beautiful mountains and rivers from the balcony of the room. Wake up to the birdsong in the morning and enjoy the sunset in the evening. It's so relaxing! It takes only a few minutes to walk to the city center, which is very convenient for eating, drinking and having fun. The staff is warm and friendly, and helped arrange kayaking and hot air balloon trips. The experience is perfect!

The Regal Nakuang Hotel is in an excellent location, in the city center, with super convenient transportation! The room is clean and tidy, the bedding is soft and comfortable, the service is warm and thoughtful, and the staff will take the initiative to help solve various needs. It is very convenient to go shopping, eat, and have fun in the surrounding area. It is very cost-effective and highly recommended!

A great experience not to be missed! Although this hotel is currently undergoing renovations to improve its overall condition, it still provides a great experience for guests. The reception staff here are very helpful and warmly take care of us from check-in to check-out. It feels like having a friend taking care of us all the time. Another highlight that must be praised is the convenient shuttle service to the city, making it easy and hassle-free to travel to various places. Plus, you can get up close to the beautiful balloon view without having to walk far. It is an experience that cannot be found anywhere else. Overall, this hotel is a lovely and comfortable place to stay. The staff is nice and makes us want to come back again in the future for sure!

The hotel is new, the swimming pool is clean, the owner is an old man from Northeast China, and he is responsible for pick-up and drop-off at the high-speed rail station. Most importantly: it is not far from the night market and the main street, about a five-minute walk (a 100-meter dirt road, remember to bring a mask). Because it is not on the main street, it is very quiet at night, and you can watch hot air balloons in your room when you wake up in the morning. Let me tell you, this hotel deserves to pay its staff triple! Khamla truly went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing stay, and her kindness left me speechless. Honestly, when I first arrived, I thought, “Oh no, I’m canceling my booking right now.” But thankfully, they let me see the room before check-in and even offered a full refund if I wasn’t satisfied. In the end, I decided to stay for the two nights since I figured it would be okay. Now, I won’t lie—the exterior of the hotel looks a bit worn, but don’t let that fool you! Inside, it’s spotless and conveniently located near a plethora of restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions. I booked an exhilarating hot air balloon ride for $120 through the hotel for the next day, and it was absolutely unforgettable. I also had my heart set on visiting the Nahm Xai viewpoint but didn’t want to venture out alone. The staff went out of their way to help me find an English-speaking tour guide, and when that didn’t pan out, Khamla from the front desk stepped in. She graciously offered to be my guide on her day off! She hiked with me up to the viewpoint, snapped photos, and made sure I was safe and sound every step of the way. In the end, I couldn't have been happier with my decision to stay. The service here is truly top tier, making this hotel experience one I won’t forget!

The location is a little far from the city but acceptable. The hotel environment is beautiful, the room facilities are basically complete, the breakfast category and taste are good, but the only drawback is that the bath water is not hot enough.

If you want to stay away from the city and find a calm life, you can come here. It is very quiet and independent house. It is really beautiful to watch the lake every day. Facilities: There is a swimming pool facing the lake, free kayaking is provided, and no one nearby can perfect take pictures and free activities. But there is a need to say that the room does not have a network, and you need to go to the lobby restaurant. Hygienic: very clean, but more bugs are fine. It’s best to say that the bed is really comfortable and the scenery is beautiful.

The stay is fine but it was very disappointing for the laundry service that the hostel offered. All the clothes came back with wet, bad and weird smell, i have to forced to hang my clothes outside the room but turned out it does not remove the bad smell left on my clothes. I had gained the lesson from you guys and avoid to pay for laundry service in the hostel from now on!
