Top 5-Star Hotels in Venice-Lido

This hotel was absolutely stunning in every way. The rooms have a moorish theme that feels a bit outdated, but it’s spacious and comfortable. Roberta, the duty manager was an amazing human. She showed us all the places we needed to see in Venice and mapped it out for us. All the staff went above and beyond (minus the fact that my sunglasses went missing from my room unexplained, that was disappointing). We arrived a day after the Venice Film Festival has finished so it was very quiet. We had the beach to ourselves, the sea was clean and amazingly refreshing with gorgeous sunrise views. The Blue Bar had food available all day and their Tiramisu was to die for. The pool area was clean and nice but it closed early (at 6pm I believe). The breakfast buffet was divine and the hotel was grand and beautiful. Note that the hotel offers complimentary shuttles to Venice and from Venice, however not if you have luggage. Only if you’re doing a day trip to the city. If you are taking luggage to head to the train station or airport, you need to book a private water taxi (approx €90). Worth it though…only about 20 mins to the train station and the hotel will arrange it for you. You can also take public ferries but they are slower and packed with people.

When we arrived we were given a tour of the hotel. It was refurbished in recent years, beautiful salons and terraces to dine and chill out on. Very easy to imagine times past and visitors from Venice and further afield being there. The bedrooms in contrast are light, spacious and contemporary in design. The pool area is a haven and perfect for an hour or so after a day in Venice. We had a rainy day during our stay and opted for a massage in the spa and dinner in the hotel. Everything was excellent but what really makes this hotel a success are the staff. They, more than anything, are responsible for the lovely atmosphere that permeates throughout. The bar closed at 11 pm which made a nightcap after dinner in Venice a bit of rush at times. We arrived on an evening flight and the hotel organised a private water taxi transfer from the airport. A fabulous start to our trip seeing Venice lit up by night and well worth the price. I’m looking forward to staying there again in the future.

We stayed at the Hotel Panorama for a long weekend and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The taxi transport from the airport was seamless even though we were a bit worried about having to get the boat to the Lido very late in the evening. The hotel was very welcoming and our room was lovely, large and very comfortable with a sea view across the bay. Breakfast was plentiful and very relaxed and the weather was warm enough to have coffee on the terrace which was a welcome bonus. The hotel reception team arranged a free trip to Murano which was facinating and they also organised a private water taxi tour around Venice which was well worth it. They are so friendly & knowledgeable. The hotel was also within waking distance to some lovely restaurants and we walked to the beaches which took about 10 minutes and was worth it. The hotel is also directly opposite the water bus station so it made it so easy for getting about. It was nice to come back to a quieter area in the evening with the most amazing views. All in all a very lovely weekend. Thankyou!

It was a nice experience overall. There is a €3.60 city tax per person per night that's added on and can only be paid in cash which was inconvenient. There is tea/coffee provided in the room, however, they also charge to refill them if you use any. Breakfast is an extra €5 per person and breakfast lasts less than 3 hours (7am-9:45am) which is a bit inconvenient if you want to sleep in or if you have to get up early. The desk staff is moderately friendly. When we first arrived they weren't too friendly but the evening and check out attendants were nicer. The room is pretty small and really only enough room to eat around the perimeter of the bed. The bathroom is decently sized, however, the shower didn't have a door so water pools out onto the floor unless you huddle close to the shower head and even then... The TV is very small and not easily seen if you are vision impaired. My biggest complaint, however, is how hard the bed was. There's little to no cushion on the mattress. I woke up both mornings I was there and had back and hip pain (I'm 28 yrs old in relatively good physical condition). It is close to sleeping on the floor. There was a closet with a nice amount of space to put our things. There is also am elevator to access the floors which was convenient on days that we walked a ton. The lobby is nice and clean and has some seating areas. We did not explore the bar or breakfast areas. The hotel itself is located near the water bus station for easy access to Venice. It is also on a strip of shops and restaurants. Granted most things on the island of Lido do close early and a lot of them are temporarily closed but still marked as open on Google maps. Plan accordingly and call places ahead of time. I've included pictures of the bathroom which was overall nice, however, I didn't take pictures of the bedroom as it was small and hard to get a good angle.

Mabapa delivered on what you’re paying for. Decent rooms and bathrooms. Well located near the waterfront with a 10 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk to main waterbus station. The staff were friendly when we arrived but got less friendly as time went on. Breakfast was okay. All in all a good place to stay if you want to explore both Venice and what the Lido has to offer.

A nice clean hotel. Staff are polite and friendly. Room was immaculately clean and serviced. Breakfast was excellent, but (other than the excellent cakes) was the same every day. It is until 10am but hot food was rarely topped up after 9:30. We never saw the restaurant open, but it looked good. Next time we would stay in mainland Venice as the water taxis can be expensive (75 euro each for 7 days) and time consuming, but if you're staying on Lido it's worth considering.

I stayed in this hotel in Lido at the occasion of the Redector 2023. I was in Lido, at a steam stop from the main island of Venice; less than 10 minutes walk from the steam stop. I took a double room with my mother. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were very clean and the breakfast was excellent.

Having stayed at the Villa Pannonia Hotel Venice Lido before Covid and had a very warm welcome with excellent service to returning to this very special hotel this June 2023 and to receive again the special welcome back service was more than special . I have travelled and stayed in many hotels in Europe and Far Away countries as part of my job but the Villa Pannonia has this friendly energy . This hotel is very old. Having said this, it was very quaint with nicely decorated rooms. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was very clean. It had a small refrigerator and a safe. The staff were professional and helpful. The food was quite good. However, the air conditioning system is a joke. I was prepared for it not to get the room cold but I expected it to get the room somewhat cool. When we returned to the room after a hot, busy day in Venice Island, I was looking forward to a shower and a cool room. The room was actually warmer than the air outside. I took the shower and then was soaked in sweat for half of the night until the outside temperature cooled enough for the room to cool. The hotel made noises about getting a technician in to ”adjust” the system the next morning and we were assured that the AC would be fine the next even upon our return. To our dismay this was not the case and we spent a second very uncomfortable night. Again, I didn't expect cold but the room temperature at night was at least 27 celcius, and I'm sure that it was higher. It was stifling. For this reason I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. I will never stay here again.
