Our stay at The White Moose Inn was absolutely delightful. Carly greeted us in the parking lot upon our arrival and gave us a detailed overview of the amenities, including the complimentary happy hour and breakfast. We stayed in 'The Suite,' which was the perfect size and incredibly cozy. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room was stocked with robes, slippers, and all the necessary amenities, including delightful Molton Brown toiletries. The daily happy hour from 5-6 was a lovely touch. We enjoyed choosing between a white or red wine from Early Mountain Vineyards, as well as a local whiskey, accompanied by complimentary bar chex mix. The common area was inviting, featuring a dining room table, a cozy living room with a nice fire, and board games for entertainment. Complimentary bottled water, seltzer water, Diet Coke, regular coke, goldfish, and pretzel bags were also provided. The breakfast the following morning was delicious. The yogurt and granola were particularly tasty, and the Gruyère cheese omelette was delightful! The inn is conveniently located within walking distance of the Inn at Little Washington, where we enjoyed a memorable dining experience. We also recommend having lunch at Patty O's cafe, located across from the inn; it was exceptional! One minor issue to note, which is not the inn's fault, was some noise at night. It was a windy night, and I could hear a slight rattling sound on the roof. I am an extremely light sleeper, though, and my husband didn't hear anything. I mention this in case you are also a light sleeper and recommend bringing earplugs. However, it's worth noting that I couldn't hear anyone else in the house or the rooms next to us, which was nice. Overall, we highly recommend The White Moose Inn. It was incredibly cozy, cute, and quaint. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return to explore other neighboring towns.
