The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.

West End
The price was fair, the location was exactly where we needed it. Valet was strong, front desk very nice, maintenance quick. I had a quiet night of sleep. Cookies in the evening was a nice touch. What I didn’t like was the tiny shower….with that one tiny shelf. Smallest Ritz shower I ever had. It had one head, with controls that was no more than on and off. Also - I never use hotel tvs but this time we tried. Tv went in and out, no signal at all. I heard that there is no gym….they give you a discount to the one next door but none included in the room rate and no gym in the hotel. This was very surprising. What hotel doesn’t have a gym these days? Anyway, our 2 rooms were fine. Would I go back - certainly for the right price…but this hotel isn’t build for leisure.

The Mall
The price is expensive and the service is great. At night, I will place Evian mineral water and cups on the bedside table, place foot mats next to the bed and washstand, fill the ice cubes with ice cubes, and turn on the sleep aid music. It is in all hotels I have stayed abroad the best.

Downtown Washington
Not staying at other hotels in Washington, may not be objective. This hotel is more expensive, the service is general, the room is very small and very small, the room window arranged for me is a dark window, the indoor ventilation is poor, the bed is small (the waiter said it is a big bed room, but only 1.5 meters wide), even wifi has to charge, It is free to apply with the waiter. Cleaning the room attendant is quite good. Maybe the location is better, but it is recommended to stay a little farther. After all, uber is very convenient.

Georgetown
these guys set their own standards. when i was training in DC 15 yrs ago i never could afford a drink here. now that i can i can say it is worth every penny and effort. we travel with our kids and work very hard. as a result we want our life to be easy on the road. this hotel set the std for the FS experience. there were little glitches but they were human glitches that a complicated machine like this hotel is going to inevitably have, but nothing terrible. and the staff and management were quick to accept, contrite, correct, and make up for in a generous way. thank you FS. a shout out to McKenzie. she is outstanding- front desk .

Penn Quarter
This was definitely a great stay. The establishment is modern, clean with very helpful staff. It is located in the heart of things. Museums, and great places to eat are close by if you want to get out and about. If not, the food is excellent in-house.

We so enjoyed our stay! From the beginning greeting by Aila, then throughout our stay, was exceptional. Awtash in the dining room was lovely! Ignacio, the Food and Beverage Manager was sincere and top notch also. Everyone was wonderful even though I cannot name them! We loved our suite with balcony! This was an exquisite stay!!
