Stayed at the Westfield Inn 2 or 3 times in 1990s; liked it then. Recent renovations left the feeling of a small, welcoming hotel intact, also everything (room, hallways, breakfast room, entry/concierge room on 1st floor) felt and looked to me current; clean, contemporary, stylish bathrooms and bathing supplies (hair and body cleansers, towels), pillow top beds. etc. I could ell instantly that entry/concierge room looked familiar yet had been updated. Again, clean, fresh, but no sense of anything just done in slapdash manner. Everything carefully planned and done in renovations/updates. Good breakfast in a comfortable, modern breakfast room. Selections for any food choice or requirements (omnivore, vegetarian, gluten free, vegan). And of course waffle maker and freshly prepared food brought out if anything ran low. Pleasant and unobtrusive staff available, efficient. Good hotel within walking distance (zero to six blocks) of a downtown that has and continues to change from the 1990s: Vibrant town, shops. Cuisines from around the world; personal care, growth, training; most open, others with "approved permits" in window almost ready for business. Exciting town, but still retains small-town character. Good stay.
