First impressions of this hotel were not good, the entrance had bins full of rubbish, dirty ashtrays and rubbish in the flower beds, the reception area is dreadful, dirty unhoovered carpets dark smelly and dated. (there was a depressed drunk woman sat on the sofa watching TV) who said she didn't know where the man was but he wouldn't be long when I said we wanted to check in(this was the only member of staff we saw at the hotel). At this point we nearly went home (another couple didn't even look at their room) but we decided to see what our room was like before deciding as we didn't want to upset our 8 year old daughter. To our surprise our room was pretty clean and a really good size, beds were clean and comfortable. We had a great view too. The downside to the room was there were no curtains up at the kitchen area so the bedroom had no privacy and the room was very hot with little ventilation. Apart from that we had forks in the coffee cups in place of teaspoons and what seemed to be a hurd of elephants move in above us at 4am, we gave it a chance, we would not return, it's a shame as the location is great!!

Avoid at all Costs. Photographs do not reflect the actuality. They claim to be refurbishing but in reality it resembled a down at heel hostel. They do NOT offer any meals or drinks apart from bottled water in the room. Room had only one socket and multiple extension cables. WET towels on the bed (I have to assume they were freshly laundered!) Two steps up into the corridor bathroom (looked like a partition wall had been erected behind the bed) NO LIGHT in the bathroom and NO bedside tables or lamps. Had the pay CASH as they claimed the reader was faulty and had been returned the previous day. However when we returned home and did a more detailed search online it would seem the card reader had be 'faulty' for some time! Asked for a refund and they retained £65. They did not offer, or give any receipts either paper or electronically

When we turned up we thought it was under renovation. The receptionist was very unkempt and unprofessional. Insisted on taking payment by bank transfer as no card machine available. The place smelled very unhygienic and looked run down. Our room door didn't shut properly and the beds were awful. There was 1 hand towel between 3 of us and no loo roll. We left the premises within minutes. Still awaiting a refund but not holding our breath. I'd advise anyone not to stay here unless they enjoy poor living conditions. A 1 star out of 5 was only given because a rating was required.

I cannot praise this hotel enough it's excellent. Even though the owners are renovating it .nothing was to much trouble I have one leg and the owner went out of his way to make sure I had a lower floor room infact it was the best room in the hotel spectacular sea views and facilities I would def give this hotel 10 out of 10 and more if I could will definitely be back and indeed booked an extra night the moment I saw our room excellent .do not stay anywhere else if this is available BRILLIANT

I was told this was a migrant hotel and that it would be refurbished before I got there .so I was very disappointed because it was absolutely filthy and very rude staff. I won't be going back again soon if ever ..I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.. please avoid

Was going to book this hotel for a trip away and to stay a few nights but was told there were no available rooms and the hotel was closed to the public for the time being. I have subsequently learned it is being used to house migrants. So no business from me then.

We had our wedding reception there many years ago. Was wonderful, warm friendly and breakfast was great. The owner was helpful and friendly, I would recommend this for anyone. Great room, clean and excellent services and a wonderful view from the room. Thank you.

Booked a nights stay as a cheap night away on the fact the reviews said it was clean but this was far from the case, cold rooms,no toilet rolls, filthy carpets that haven been hoovered, curtains for doors, dirty cups, musky smells, one single socket in the room with two things plugged into it. No one in reception for breakfast so help yourself to old opened butter bread a banana or coco pops & milk. Very dated furniture, on street parking but offers free parking sign outside? Avoid this place, will not return unless Major improvements are made, £120 per night?, no breakfast in a room that the floor had'nt been cleaned since the 60s? Feel like I've been scammed out of my hard earned cash, should be inspected to see if it's fit to be opening to public stays if you ask me.
