"We had a delightful stay at this hotel! The room was very comfortable and cosy, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Situated conveniently close to the bustling high street and within walking distance of numerous attractions, the hotel's location couldn't have been better. The friendly staff and charming atmosphere added to the overall wonderful experience. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay in the area"
"Came here for our first wedding anniversary as got married here the year before. Beautiful setting. Food was lovely. Service also was spot on. My only concern would be some of the grounds could do with tidying up as looks a bit tired and neglected"

"Very distinctive hotel, next to Winchester Public School and Jane Austen's Former Residence Museum, five minutes walk to the cathedral, three minutes in the park, there is a very clear river when walking in the morning, very beautiful! Wolfsey Castle ruins are a four-minute walk away! In short, a very good stay! Breakfast is also delicious..."
"The location is perfect and walking distance to main sites. The Japanese restaurant is also wonderful. The room is clean and spacious. However, data access and wifi is limited. Overall it was a very wonderful experience staying at Kyoto room"
"The location is no better, the Winchester Cathedral is opposite the main entrance, there is no parking lot, but the hotel provides a parking permit for a nearby parking space, and there is no charge. Breakfast can be delivered to the room for free, or it can be eaten in a rustic restaurant decorated downstairs. The rooms are too big, the solid wood furniture is also antique, very romantic, and the bathroom is spacious and comfortable. The perfect hotel, will definitely go again next time. Excellent service attitude, check out later."

"The old place revisited Winchester, the hotel I chose, I think this hotel was not established when I was in Winchester. The front desk brother is very good. Have the opportunity to stay again."
"The hotel is well located in the centre of town however parking and access by car was a big problem; we had to park a mile away. Our room (and those of other travellers) wasn't ready on arrival. The room was in the main building; the bed was comfortable and the room had usual amenities. The shower was a little dated. We used the bar which was comfortable although overly busy due to two large parties booked in for events that evening. The bartender, Micky, coped really well with the large number of customers from the events. Breakfast included a good choice of hot and cold options and service was good. We felt the hotel tariff was over-priced even allowing that we visited for the Christmas market in December."

Very Good
RRHSW6The Running Horse is a very good personable country pub with rooms which are very well appointed with comfortable beds.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we had a business lunch in their semi private room which was simple but excellent.
The only reason I marked them down a little was because of several carpet stains that I do feel should be removed - or if not removable then they should put in a new carpet as they were large and off putting.
Highly recommended!
BBells on the roadStay here a few weeks and had a much better experience. Checkin told we are full and you have to take a twin bed. Then asked to pay, however I had already prepaid. The room had a window which was an internal view. Bath struggled to stay filled as issue with plug. The light above the bath flashed on and off for a while then stayed off. The attiutide from reception was poor, we are full , nothing we can do!
PPo SzeLocation is convenient with 10-15 mins walk to the town and trains station. Breakfast is the same every day. Sound insulation is not good and you can hear what happened next door.
Hotel staff is friendly and helpful, proactive helped us to load the luggages to the car after we checked out
GGuest User3 identical rooms booked but only had complimentary items in fridge & robes
Lack of towels
Duty manager Michael was amazing when we struggled to order from limited bar menu
Slow food service & errors with our order
No martini glass available for espresso martini
Lovely rooms, great surroundings
GGuest UserNot used Days Inn before and we were pleasantly surprised. Nice warm welcome and the room perfectly adequate for a one night stay. Yes, it does need refurbishment but for the money it’s good value.
In fact we will definitely use again en route to Southampton.
GGuest UserPretty basic no frills hotel but quiet and clean with a good comfortable bed and well equipped shower room. Rooms are a good size. Easy to find. Good parking. Polite and helpful staff.
