Hotels in Wuhan

The hotel room boasts fabulous views that can captivate any guest. However, the charm is dampened by dated furniture and decor. While the scenic backdrop provides solace, modernizing the interior would enhance the overall experience and make it truly unforgettable.

I have to complain, this was a terrible stay. Checked in that night and was upgraded to the executive floor during registration. But a series of bad experiences started after checking in. 1. After taking a bath, I found that the water in the bathtub was blocked. 2. I woke up from the heat at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night. The room was stuffy and hot. This was March in Wuhan, and the temperature outside was very comfortable. I found that the air conditioner panel only blew hot air whether it was turned on for hot air or cold air, and there were no windows to open for ventilation. I called customer service and the technician who came to my door told me that there is no air conditioning in Wuhan during this season. Let him enter the house to experience the sweltering heat. He said that he could feel the heat as soon as he stood at the door. I asked why it couldn't even blow natural cold wind. Anyway, it only had hot air. As a result, the master brought a fan to cool down and ventilate the room. It was incredible that I fell asleep with the fan blowing on that night. 3. The phone can only be used for hands-free dialing, and the handset cannot be used. The hands-free sound is too loud and the volume cannot be adjusted. I went to customer service to report the situation in the middle of the night, but the old man who was already asleep was woken up like this. It was really frustrating! I hope the hotel can continue to improve its facilities and give everyone a wonderful accommodation experience. The cost of a hotel night is quite a lot, so it should at least be worth it.

First off, I want to say that the housekeeping department was wonderful. They were not only great cleaners but they were also very thoughtful about checking when we would be out of the room during the day if they happened to show up when we were there. A few other things that were great about the hotel: the spectacular location (it's near so many great restaurants in a very walkable area), the big empty swimming pool with a view of the city, the generosity with face masks, and all staff seemed well trained in hospitality... So it breaks my heart that our arrival at the hotel so completely marred our stay. When my kids and I walked into the hotel one of the staff--I'm afraid I didn't catch her name in my shock, but I believe she was the manager on duty--grabbed a handful of gloves and handed them to us as we were still struggling to pull out all the green codes required of us (we were told to show two codes initially and then later would go through many more codes in a quest to see which would be accepted). She started the conversation by asking if we were leaving and when we said we were checking in, she asked to see the tracing app and immediately declared all the places we had been to as dangerous (the app was green and there were no asterisks at that point, I would later gain an asterisk thanks to being in Wuhan). They were not. We had travelled carefully, tracking the news of outbreaks and did our best to avoid all dangerous locations and crowds. We explained this to her and walked her through every place on our trip that we had been, but she refused to accept any of this. She kept insisting everywhere we had been was dangerous. It didn't matter to her how many green codes we had. We were foreigners that had come to Wuhan from a city in Jiangsu, taking a route that travelled near provinces where there were COVID-19 cases, and that meant we were dangerous. I want to be sympathetic. People in Wuhan had a much worse 2020 than anyone else in China. I can only imagine how terrifying it must be to have another significant outbreak a year later (we further had the bad luck of arriving in Wuhan on the same day as new cases). The hotel staff gave us a free fruit plate and they gave my daughter a stuffed animal, which she adored. But I was also travelling alone with two kids who were so traumatized by the experience (they were worried that we would be taken to a hospital or quarantine center and separated for who-knows-how-long) that they initially refused to eat dinner and still talk about the experience a week later (it didn't help that they noticed a Chinese guest arrive and check in without a face mask while we were still being interrogated with gloves and masks on and waited for a doctor to come and clear us). When the kids finally did decide they would eat, so long as we didn't leave the hotel, we discovered there was no longer ocean fish or seafood on the menu because of the virus which was interesting because we would find plenty of places outside the hotel that still offered salmon. Later when we tried to go to the Thai restaurant in the ball, we were told it was not open to us because of COVID-19 restrictions even though two lovely ladies who looked shocked to see us in the elevator were welcomed in. I assume there was some small private engagement or meeting that wasn't open to the public as there was no information anywhere that said the hotel restaurant was closed to the public. So I am divided on my feelings on this hotel. I want to believe it is a well run hotel and we were just unlucky to arrive on the wrong day. I can't really see myself staying here again if I return to Wuhan. My kids and I didn't really feel welcome here.

This is a little bit harsh in the hotel, but had paid extra for the executive sweet, only to be told after I checked in that all the facilities were closed. I don't live very far from this hotel, but was hoping to enjoy the spa and the executive lounge after a football tournament close by. All the facilities, spa, swimming pool, gym, sauna were all closed. Even the executive lounge was off limits. This was not mentioned when booking and I was unable to get any refund. It's a lovely hotel, but they really struggle to clarify if anything is actually operational post covid.

While the hotel itself was fine (bit run down and in need of maintenance) and the staff was friendly and helpful, it was frustrating that every single activity for kids (except the soft play area) was extra charge. Also, both outdoor pools were empty and this was not mentioned anywhere before booking. This was disappointing as the kids looked forward to swimming. At least the indoor pool was open. The screen golf area was also changed to a kids arcade area, so no golf. Breakfast buffet was good and the executive lounge access is highly recommended.

The first time I stayed, the experience was good, the parking space was large and spacious, the swimming pool was clean and hygienic, and the focus was on room service. The room is well-equipped with everything, and the service staff is warm and thoughtful. I want to name here, Miss He Bingjing, the service staff on the 5th floor, is enthusiastic, thoughtful, professional, sincere and caring. She has done all the words about the good service. During the period of leaving the store, I was still a little reluctant to let her go. This is also the first time I wanted to take the initiative to praise a person from the bottom of my heart. Five stars are not enough. I hope to meet her next time I stay, and get her warm and thoughtful service. is a treat.

We had a fantastic stay at the Fairmont Wuhan to celebrate a birthday! The Guest Service Manager, Irina Guo, was extremely helpful and accommodating to make the experience extra special. The food and service at the hotel restaurant and bar, 1907, was first rate. Would strongly recommend a cocktail and dinner set. The service staff was made aware of the birthday by Ms.Guo, and Josie greeted us with a ”Happy Birthday” accompanied by a complimentary glass of champagne. The breakfast was also first rate with pretty much anything you could want. Following breakfast, we were greeted by another guest service staff member, Guillaume, who ensured we had everything we needed. It was truly the pinnacle of hotel service! 5 stars.

The location of the hotel is very good, Tanhualin Scenic Area (Wuhan's humanistic holy place (read the slogan on the wall). The point is that there is a pleasant tea downstairs, okay, drink it when you come back to watch a movie at night). The room facilities are good, and the projector Super big screen, great for watching dramas! The butler Hibiscus provides good service and sends location and travel directions. The price/performance ratio of the hotel is also very high, the view from the balcony is very nice, very satisfied~ The last two or three photos should be 1.4-2 times the distance, a little closer than the naked eye? But the difference is not too much, but there is actually a little conflict between the audio-visual room and the view room. After all, the curtains are drawn when watching movies, which is a pity

I have lived a few times, and I am very satisfied with the room arranged every time. Now the traffic is very convenient. Now the weather is still comfortable in the morning and evening. You can see the backyard of the hotel from the window when you get up early. The environment is beautiful. There are also many early people walking. The weather is good these days, a little foggy. It's pretty! The room was cleaned and the items were neatly arranged. There is a service front desk that will also deal with it as soon as possible. Ronaldinho and Xiao Xiao on duty have worked rigorously and seriously in the past two days. They are very professional and give them a thumbs up 👍 and are very satisfied with a trip.

The hotel is close to the lake. After working on a business trip, you can open the curtains and take a leisurely look at the lake view. Especially when you encounter accommodation-related problems, it is also very convenient to find the hotel front desk. The small week at the front desk is also very caring and will consider customers, which is very good.
