I arrived at Building 3, Xian Renmin Dasha, no reception staff. I rang the desk telephone as instructed only to be instructed that I hade been moved the the Grand Mercure Hotel next door. This hotel is good with friendly staff, very clean facilities and a breakfast that is part Chinese-Western. Next door in another hotel is access to a swimming pool and gym, which I used, and had sole use at 0700hrs in the morning. The front desk permitted late check-out to 1400hrs, which was ideal to facilitate not having to carry a bag around Xian, as I then travelled direct to the airport.

The room is very quiet, the yard is large, and it is refreshing to take a walk in the morning!
Hygiene: very clean and comfortable.
Environment: very beautiful, with ancient charm and shaded by trees.
Facilities: convenient and fast parking, rich and varied breakfast, delicious and nutritious.
