Hotels in Bayi Road Passenger Station Area, Xining

The hotel is right on the railway station square and 15-20 minutes walk to the DongGuan Road market. My train arrived at 10 o'clock in the morning and I planned to leave my luggage with the front desk and check-in at the designated time; I was pleasantly shocked the hotel accommodated me and gave me a room right away. My room is large and has a nice view of the railway square.

I stayed here for night, having left the higher rated Wanda hotel due to a lack of AC and being unable to sleep all night. The room and bathroom exceeded my expectations for 4 stars and were very close to 5 star standard IMO. The staff allowed me to check the room(and most importantly, AC) before booking, which I appreciated. Breakfast was good. I would stay again if returning to Xining.

The hotel is newly renovated, but I learned from the front desk that it has been open for more than half a year. I thought there would be a smell in the room, so I went to the hotel with the attitude of giving it a try. The result was a different feeling. Not only was there no smell in the room, There is also a faint scent of tea, which is very comfortable. The facilities are very complete. No matter it is hot or cold outside, you can drink smooth drinking water as soon as you return to the room. The lighting is very good. You can see the local address park when you open the curtains. The scenery and night view are particularly beautiful. I live on the 11th floor. I can appreciate the quietness and beautiful night view of Xining, Qinghai Province at night. In short, I am very satisfied, very satisfied. I had a great time staying with my children and the trip was also very pleasant. Everything about the hotel They are all disposable items, clean and hygienic, and they are delivered repeatedly. I will not charge for them. I used to charge for the second portion when I went to other places. This hotel did not charge any fees. Although the breakfast was not large, it was very delicious. Was told I am given a free room upgrade, but honestly I can't tell the difference. Also the room in the listing image was larger and brighter but the actual room I received was extremely rather grim looking, not to mention it doesn't even look like half the room size in the listing image. I also can't seem to adjust the aircon temp as it will remain at room temperature no matter what I set, however xining is quite cooling in general so it's still acceptable. In the room I was give, the glass panel at the washroom side had a severely cracked side which seem like it will break if I had closed the glass door too hard. I took a video immediately before using the toilet in case it really does get shattered, but luckily it did not Very unsafe nevertheless. The shower was the worst, every night I had to gamble if it will be cold or scalding hot water. I set the shower value slightly towards the warm side, and the water became scalding hot within seocnds, and if I move it to the cold side, it became freezing cold within seconds. Even if I set it exactly in the middle, it will give me either one of the extreme temperature. Had to keep adjusting from hot to cold so that it stay at a comfortable and safe temp range. The toilet bowl flush in a very stupid manner too, by first flooding the bowl from bottom up, this means that if you took a dump and it's a slightly sticky one, it's gonna stick. The electric kettle was so noisy when turned on that it sound like a train passing right beside my room. And speaking of noise, the sound proofing of the room was one of the worst of every single hotel I stayed in before. You can literally hear new occupants dragging their luggage or family chattering non stop right after they exit the lift. FYI, my room was literally the furthest away. Every time your neighbors from 3 room away turn on their tap water, you can hear it, even if that's like 4am in the night. The hairdryer is a safety hazard too. Tried to use it once and after plugging in and turning it on, smoke immediately came oozing out of it, so I immediately switched it off and remove the plug. Never used it since. Oh yes one last thing I have to say is that as a hotel PLEASE NEVER USE MOVEMENT OR VOICE CONTROLLED LIGHTINGS. While I wash up every day, I had to keep waving my hands like an ***** every few minutes in order to prevent the lights from going out. The detection is sooooo off that unless there's a huge action at the correct spot, it will not turn the lights back. This was absolutely annoyance. However the things I mentioned above are although not welcomed, but can be tolerated. Personally, the only thing I really love about this was the free tea. And that is also a highly recommended must try. I believe that's ******* black tea which is also a local specialty. I regret not trying earlier because at the latter of my trip, I no longer pass by stores that sells ******* black tea. Recommendation to the hotel is include a way to buy some of this tea. Overall, I will only recommend the hotel to someone who do not have any other choice or have a lower budget in mind.

The room is large and air-conditioned. Because it is a family room, there are small Mongolian yurts and rabbit dolls (although I am an adult hhh). Toothbrushes and slippers are also for children. There is a Xinqian Night Market nearby where you can buy specialties. Most snacks are halal. Caojiabao Airport drop-off: The drop-off service is booked with the front desk one day in advance to confirm the departure time. The hotel is about half an hour from the airport. Late-night porridge: Rice porridge and millet porridge and some side dishes are provided.

Hygiene is very clean. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry areas. Breakfast is on the fourth floor. There is porridge and many kinds of steamed buns for breakfast. Milk, soy milk, coffee, chrysanthemum tea 4-5 vegetables, sausages and fried rice can make you full There is no air conditioning in the room. With the windows open at night, there is a bit of noise from the large cars outside. There are small supermarkets nearby The service attitude is very good. No photos were taken.

The most memorable thing is that when I got out of the car, there was a big and dignified security guard (surnamed Liu on his work license) dragging the extra large suitcase. Transported it to the bar, then waited for a long time before hauling the suitcase to the room, and patiently explained the hotel's supporting facilities, the laundry room and the specific location of the gym. When asked about local specialties, he also explained the unique hotel Lidian Hotel is creating. The local food on the top floor of the hotel will be launched soon, and it will guide you to the large-scale food Wuyue Plaza, Xinqian Night Market, Shuijing Lane, etc. next to the hotel and not far away. All in all, it is a worthwhile stay experience, great!
