"We stayed another 2 nights during the May holidays. Surprisingly, Xining wasn't crowded except for the People's Park where plenty of tulips were in bloom. It was raining on 1 May, so we stayed in hotel. Hotel though old, was clean with standard amenities. Bathroom has a bath with shower curtains. No hooks for clothes in toilet/bathroom. Laundry room only has 1 washer, no dryer. We didn't use. Price was cheap. Breakfast was a bowl of mee, some veg and an egg at restaurant next door. We were given breakfast vouchers."

"I was extremely impressed with the room. The way it is designed has been very well thought out and it looks as lovely as it is comfortable! The suite had everything we needed including the lovely large bath tub and shower. I loved the space and it would have been ideal for two or three nights in the place. Unfortunately we only stayed for one. It is located near food markets and restaurants and is very close to the train station. The hotel reception was very professional and extremely helpful, they also arranged a car to take us to the train station. The breakfast is standard Chinese style breakfast, I thought it was good and filling, and they offer variety of coffee options with their machine, as well as tea. This hotel is very well organized and designed! I would definitely stay here again if I return to Xining!"

"Full five-star recommendation! The hotel is authentic style, decorated with a unique ethnic charm and full of atmosphere. When I checked in, the store upgraded the view room for free, the view was particularly good, and the surprise was full. The room was clean and tidy, elegantly furnished, comfortable bedding and facilities were all available. The staff is gentle and welcoming, the service is meticulous and thoughtful, the work efficiency is high, and the whole experience is very comfortable. The hotel is also very convenient to travel, and the overall price is super high. I also enjoyed the warm heart service. This stay experience was great. I will choose here next time. I really recommend it to everyone!"

"The hotel's location is great, and they have a free parking lot. The front desk staff, particularly a young lady who went by 'Serta Mattress' (or maybe that was her name, it's a bit unclear!), was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. She showed me the rooms, helped me compare prices, and even upgraded my room type. She also recommended some night markets. The breakfast was very good too, so I decided to extend my stay!"

"My stay at Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel in Xining completely exceeded my expectations. Every moment, from check-in to check-out, was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. I absolutely have to sing its praises! First off, the service was exceptionally warm and attentive, making the entire experience fantastic. As soon as I arrived, a doorman proactively helped me with my luggage and directed me to the Sky Lobby on the 21st floor. Check-in was super efficient, and they even thoughtfully recognized my member status and upgraded my room for free, along with complimentary fresh welcome fruit. The 24-hour front desk was always responsive to my needs; whether I needed directions or extra items, they were quick to assist. The staff were friendly and professional in every detail, adding a touch of warmth to my trip. Secondly, the facilities were comprehensive and high-end, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The design of the Sky Lobby was simply stunning, blending Chinese style with panoramic views. In the evening, I even caught a breathtaking sunset – perfect for photos! My room was spacious and bright, with a well-designed layout covering over 50 square meters. It featured a soft sofa, a large desk, and even a humidifier to combat the dry climate in the Northwest, which was a very thoughtful touch. The guest rooms were fully intelligent, with features like sensor lighting and electric blackout curtains adding a futuristic feel. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub, and the toiletries were high-quality. The King Koil mattress provided an amazing sleep experience. The hotel also boasts a free gym, a table tennis room, a book bar, and a tea room – perfect for either exercise and relaxation or quiet reading. The amenities truly cater to various needs. What truly surprised me was the breakfast – it was abundant and unique. Served at the buffet restaurant on the 5th floor, it covered everything from Chinese and Western to Halal cuisine, with an incredibly wide variety. There was freshly prepared Lanzhou beef noodles, authentic Halal 'Sazi Mahua' (fried dough twists), and other local specialties, along with hot dishes, cold dishes, congee, bread, seasonal fruits, and excellent freshly ground coffee and squeezed juices. I particularly recommend the hotel's yogurt; its rich and creamy texture was delicious with grains or fruit. The dining area was spacious and clean, with plenty of seating, so there was no need to wait in line – a perfect start to an energetic day. Additionally, the hotel's location is superb. It's right next to Xining Railway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Within a 1-kilometer radius, there's a night market, large shopping malls, and the distinctive Mojia Street pedestrian area. It's also close to the Dongguan Great Mosque and the Huangshui River, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. The free public parking also eased any concerns for those traveling by car. It offers incredible value for money. In summary, Xining Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel excelled in every aspect, including service, facilities, and dining. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xining and highly recommend it to everyone!"

"Great location: Central Xining, convenient for night markets and attractions. Excellent service: The front desk staff were warm, thorough, and thoughtful. Housekeeping was patient and responsive to requests. Abundant breakfast: A wide variety of delicious options, including local specialties like yogurt and beef noodles, which were especially tasty. They even offered packed breakfasts for early departures!"

"The location is near the train station. If you drive a car, you can park it downstairs, but it’s really hard to find the parking entrance. We did not manage to find it. The hotel service was nice, and they took us to the parking lot later to show us where it is. Otherwise, it’s easy to locate the hotel from outside. The room was clean and spacious. The wifi was not working, and the person who could fix it was not there since it was late. Therefore, we connected to the other room’s WiFi but the connection was not good. The bed was a bit short for a tall person."
