Overlooking the city skyline, the rooms are spacious and bright. The facilities are comprehensive, with a complimentary gym and laundry room which is a thoughtful touch. The room was clean and the breakfast offered a rich mix of Chinese and Western options, coupled with excellent service. Five-star recommendation, a perfect experience.

Pro points - The beds are soft and comfy, good showers with very hot water. Rooms were clean. The buses from outside connect well to the Muslim area of the city and the restaurants nearby are nice. Staff are friendly. Bad points - We booked a non smoking room, all the rooms available were infact non smoking and yet the whole place absolutely stank of cigarettes. We moved rooms because after dinner we came back to a haze of smoke in the room, everyone must be smoking. I live in China, I realise this isn't uncommon, but in that case don't advertise non smoking rooms.

Breakfast is a high quality Chinese buffet with a very wide selection. The location is central and the room clean. They offered complimentary yogurt delivered to the room around 9.30pm. A nice touch. An incredible value

This hotel was incredibly good value for money! The room was clean and tidy, the mattress was just the right firmness, and I slept soundly all night. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, the hot water was strong and consistent, and the toiletries were even gardenia-scented. The free Wi-Fi was fast, so watching shows and attending meetings didn't lag at all. The breakfast, while not extravagant, was substantial: freshly cooked noodles, crispy fried eggs, five or six kinds of side dishes, and plenty of warm steamed buns. The receptionist was efficient with check-in and proactively offered recommendations for nearby restaurants. There's a convenience store and subway station downstairs, which is super convenient. For an economical price, I enjoyed a high-end hotel experience; I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

There's a gas station nearby with charging stations, and it's super convenient for dining and shopping. Plus, the price is very reasonable.

Overall, my stay at the Sofitel Xining is pretty decent. The check-in process at the front desk was smooth, and the room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the breakfast – it's quite ordinary with nothing special to offer, and the dishes aren't particularly well-prepared. When there are large tour groups, many items run out quickly, and restocking is a bit slow. This definitely falls short of what I'd expect from a hotel of this brand.

The young lady at the front desk was very caring and upgraded the room with windows for free. The interior was very clean and the room was quite big. I didn't find the room in the middle and asked people to take me to the room. The sanitation was also very timely and a very satisfying experience.

The hotel opened this year. The room is large and the decoration is very high-end, which meets my aesthetic taste. The whole house is smart, the lights and curtains can be voice-controlled, there is also a smart toilet, the projection image quality is very clear, and we also watched a movie at night. The bed is very clean and soft, and there are washing machines, refrigerators, and induction cookers. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from Wanda. There are also many delicious foods around the hotel, which is very convenient for eating and shopping. Maybe because of the altitude, the bath water is a little small, and the full-body mirror at the door of the bathroom is a funhouse mirror, which makes me happy. Everything else is great! It's a pity that we have to rush the schedule, otherwise we will definitely stay a few more nights.
