Location is 25min away from Mosque and city-center, but Perfect for starting a tour to Qinghai-Lake (near to highway). Bathroom very nice, BUT small sink, so no space for storing the hygienic articles. Breakfast area is clean and nice prepared, but no western options (such as toast or jam).

I know it is cool during summer in Xining as well but i think it is a basic requirement for aircon in a hotel. A fan is provided but i think it is not a welcome sight for a hotel with a fan.

My daughter and I were stuck in Xining an extra night due to the typhoon in Shanghai and our flight being changed so we decided to treat ourselves by staying at Sofitel. It was well worth the treat. We stayed in a club-level room and everything was excellent. Because it was my birthday the hotel even brought a small cake to our room, which was delicious! We will definitely stay at Sofitel again when we are back in Xining.

The facilities and equipment are very complete, but they are a bit outdated. The room is a little cold in winter. I asked for heating or heating the next day, but I said there was no. I took it after staying for four days, and overall it's not bad.

She speaks fantastic english and helped us in directions, picking up from airport, booking the trains, and when we lost our baggage in the Airport she went out of her way to help, in alloting the rooms, 10 Star service by her. amazing person and would love to visit. this charming city again and stay in the same Hotel.
