Stayed here for a week, husband and wife, flew in from Manchester. We flew with tour operator Tui, transfer from airport to resort took around 45 minutes. On arrival we saw the grounds that looked lush and well maintained. Check in was fine, had to wait a while for the room to be ready as arrived at lunchtime, reception staff were pleasant and for us the most helpful on the resort (thank you!) Rooms Bed is massive, quite firm and spacious with our own walk in wardrobe (enough for my wife’s shoes). Has shower and bathtub. Safe located in room and hangers provided. Service Bar staff in general not great. Zaharan was quite good - chatty and usually friendly, and Whalit had ignored me whilst I waited at the bar when it was open - found this to be rude. My wife was not well and needed to get her some water. I had to ask for this and got pretty much a “no” response when I asked (not doing anything wrong). Trying to keep my cool I told Whalit that my wife was not well and he begrudgingly gave a water (no apologies at all). This is NOT 5 star service. Mohammed on the beach bar staff was very miserable as were other staff members, they need a lesson in customer service. One time I gave a tip for a barman and suddenly I’m “a friend”…. My wife of course got better service than me with all the male bar staff. Bar staff at the main indoor bar were ok though. Rooms Small fridge in room we were all inclusive and had lemonade cola orange fizz water and beer there. Not always replenished and when I asked for it to be so, a local gentleman who worked on reception told me that the service had finished without a real apology. Not 5 star standard I’m afraid! Rooms were cleaned to an ok standard. Not great, on 4 different occasions I had to ask for more shower gel / shampoo (and conditioner for the wife). Toilet paper was not always replenished which was annoying. Beach In general the beach was very clean. I spoke with a security guard who said in the summer sea **** is washed ashore. I’ve seen reviews that say the beach is dirty - I tell you it was not in mid September, sand is soft and hotel right on the beach. Was a bit of a storm on last day which brought up some seaweed but that’s not an issue. Pool area and grounds Nicely maintained. Pools are cold, plenty of sun loungers to choose from. Quite a lot of flies around when we went so be warned, a fly swagger would be a good thing to bring. All in all clean and tidy on the grounds. Food and drinks I was quite happy with the quality but wife did not think it was 5 star. Service staff at lunch and dinner were rushed / muddled and often missed things we had asked for. Tipped the same server from the previous evening when we got to dinner one evening and his service was not great had to find our own glasses and no real friendliness or goodbye when we left. Dinner is done in 2 sittings either 630-8 or 830-10pm and gents need to wear trousers. The orange juice is very nice, beer with all inclusive is local beer
