3-Star Hotels in Zakinthos Island

Two star hotel. It has a very poor breakfast and a small elevator (where only two people can fit at a time). The staff is disappointing, not very friendly. We ordered a pizza delivery and, instead of the receptionist calling the room to inform, he allowed the motoboy to go up to our room to make the delivery (I've never seen that in my life). Also, there’s no parking. The bathroom in the room is extremely small, with brackish water. Amenities were never replenished. The air conditioning didn't have enough power to cool the room, and the safe didn't work either. We were relieved to leave.

Just back from our 6th. visit to the VBH and everything about the hotel and the staff was wonderful (even through the pandemic!) We are retired so are able to visit out of the school holidays. Hilary runs a very happy, relaxed ship and is always ready to help e.g. contact doctor if necessary. The little bar under the trees is open again in the evenings making an after-dinner drink a must! The pool area is beautiful and well-served by the bar-staff, the pool-side toilets are particularly well-appointed with showers, baby-changing facilities and automatic lighting. Although the hotel is B&B, lovely food is always available on request from the bar and the breakfast is excellent! There are several restaurants and a couple of bars within strolling distance, as well as car-hire and bus stops into Zakynthos town. St.Nicholas's beach and water sports are just around the corner, as are Vrahos and Plaka beaches. The standard bedrooms could use a bit of updating but the views over the pine trees and the gardens make up for it. We have already booked for 2024.

We have been to Kalamaki many times over the years, and have walked passed the Athina Apartments on our visits, so we took the plunge and booked to stay here for 9 nights from the 8th September. The apartments are ideally located. They literally back onto the main ***** in Kalamaki, and are a few minutes walk from the main Kalamaki beach. We stayed in a top floor room, overlooking the pool. The view was great, and lovelly to wake up to in the morning or to enjoy of an evening before venturing out. Because we faced away from the main *****, we did not hear it at all. The rooms are basic, and could do with a little spruce up, but they are clean and comfortable, so that's what is most important. If you are looking to cook in the room, the cooking facilities consist of 2 hot rings and that's it. There is no oven or even a microwave. So you may struggle. But if like us, the only thing we cooked in the room was some toast for breakfast (yes there is a toaster and a kettle) then its fine. The pool area has been recently installed / renovated. Its is a lovely area, however during our entire stay, we did not see any member of staff tidy up the area at all, not even straighten the sun beds at the end of the day. When we had finished using the beds, we always tidied up after ourselves, and straighten the beds up etc, but not everyone did. So the pool area tends to look very untidy at the end of the day, which is such a shame, as it looks very tranquil in the evening, so it would be nice if it looked neat too :-) There is no lift in the hotel, so if you have struggle walking up flights of stairs, we would suggest opting for a ground floor apartment. However these do open up right onto the pool area so privacy will be a factor. The staff were great, and were always at hand should you need them. Would we stay again? Of course we would! In fact we have already booked to return again next September!!

Overall very satisfied, good service, clean, convenient parking, separate pool, separate courtyard, quiet environment, rich and fresh breakfast, very close to Zakynthos town, but need a car, otherwise it is not convenient.

We are from 2020.6.3, Grandpa Lily said that we are the first group of guests after the epidemic. We booked the room with a large balcony on the top floor! This balcony is also super worth it, the scenery is really great. You can see the sunrise in the morning and the scenery at night is also very good, the sky and the sea are different from day to day. You can see the sea when you lie in bed. Grandpa Lili really likes China and WeChat. Their hotel also has many day trip options. Grandpa Lili has lived on this island for 30 years and is very familiar with the island and will take us to many beautiful places. The water pressure in the hotel bath is not stable and the facilities are average. The location and scenery are first class. If you don't know how to go and where to play for the first time, you are recommended to stay here, and Grandpa Lilliput will help you.

This hotel is in a beautiful location right on the beach with beautiful views and bars and restaurants only seconds away. The food is the same as most all inclusives gets a bit repetitive so we ate out a few times but overall always a good choice of fresh meat with rice pasta etc. Drinks again same as most other all inclusive nothing amazing but strong measures and you never waited at the bar more than a couple of minutes. Staff are lovely always have a smile on their faces and so polite. We hired a boat from lagans boat hire one morning absolutely amazing and fantastic professional service. We stayed in the rooms with private pools and the rooms were massive and cleaned daily with fresh towels. We didn't have to pay for air con as they were TUI rooms and we were told this was included. The only downside to this hotel as others say is the noise in early hours of morning. I'm all for people having a good time but one morning it went on till 7.10 and we had no sleep. Smashing glasses jumping in their private pool and constant swearing and shouting. We were sitting by our private pool one day and heard the lads taking drugs sitting on balcony next to us about 4 o'clock in afternoon when my kids were with us and they knew we werw there they had juat been talking to us. So disrespectful! I think the tui family rooms should only be allowed for families and groups should not be allowed to book them then party people can all be in part of hotel and families can be in separate part and i think people would be much happier but this is something Tui need to enforce on their booking system. Overall a lovely hotel in an amazing location and i will definitely go back to Zante. Unless they get a handle on groups in family block not sure i would return to this hotel
