"The hotel really a five star you have a big room not like standard hotel rooms i enjoyed the views and the pool also a great place for family since theres kids activities in the hotel"
"The location is right in the city, by the sea. The seafood pier, square barbecue, and night market are all within a few minutes' walk. The room is exquisite and tidy, the decoration style is very unique, and it is beautiful for taking pictures. They also provide takeaway bath towels for swimming, and the rattan basket is very suitable for taking pictures. The hotel breakfast must be mentioned. All the Western food is freshly baked and cooked. It is more delicious than the Western restaurant. The hot Western food finally doesn't feel so cold. I love it."
"The hotel is located on the roadside of the city, it is noisy, the key price is expensive, and the experience is very poor"

"The hygiene is very average. The bed feels unwashed. There are unknown hairs on the sheets. If you stay here, it is recommended to bring a disposable three-piece suit. You have to bring your own towels. They only provide a bed and a place to shower. There are a lot of flies in the dining area, and the beach behind is full of garbage and seaweed.
The service is very good, whether it is the front desk or the restaurant staff. The eggs for breakfast are not bad, and there are a few kittens."

The hotel is beautifully designed, blending modern comfort with a touch of local charm, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. My room was spacious, well-equipped, and spotless, with stunning views of the surrounding area.

"Lovely hotel, room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were very friendly. My safari was cancelled and the staff provided other tour options, many thanks for that!
There is no phone in the room, I'd like to suggest even having a pager in the room would be helpful. Also no wifi in the room I think that should be an option.
The food was great and I enjoyed my stay, would definitely recommend!"
"It's a great experience. It's surrounded by scenic spots, but the small roads are a bit unsatisfactory. There are dirt roads, but the rest is pretty good."
"Good AirBnB in a good location. All is well walkable and many restaurants in the vicinity. In short, good place in Stone city if you don't want to go to a hotel."

YYon-iiiRoom, Balcony, View from the room and Restaurant is really nice. But only one thing they need to improve in their reception customer service.
Room I signed when I check in and Room I really received was different. They changed the room without notice. I asked why they said it's same room inside. But it was totally different. Changed room has no privacy at all. We have to close the window during the stay.
And I asked for late check out when I check in. They told me to check last day in the morning. In last day, I asked again for 2hrs late check out. They refused my request even didn't check the system. Just say NO. I am very disappointed with their attitude. And when I checked the site there were plenty room left.
As everyone knows Zanzibar is the holiday place. Most of 5 star hotels in holiday place, they run check out time very flexible due to flight time. No deserve to have 5 stars in customer service.
JJEONGThe beautiful Zanzibar Island has a sea in front of Baru If you take a walk in the morning, it's close. There are a lot of fruits like pineapple in the morning Make your own omelette with various ingredients I like hot toast and cooking The restaurant is nice by the pool on the first floor I was very impressed with the restaurant staff I was happy to speak Korean at the front desk Ex) Oh ㅠㅠ Close to the city and close to the night market If I go to Zanzibar again, I will definitely go back to the hotel. The room is very big ~
GGuest UserVery nice hotel. Conveniently located to all Stone Town attractions. If there are any issues the front desk manager will do her best to rectify the situation. My only issue unfixable was the food or maybe It was the water they refill for the rooms. I recommend be on side of caution and drink only bottled water. Don't eat anything uncooked (salads juices made with ice etc.) And you won't spend most of your time in bathrooms.

JJane and StewartUtterly enchanting- from our 5am arrival until our departure 3 days later we were looked after so incredibly well. The hotel organised our airport pickup and opened up with a gentle tap (you may need help to find it as it’s in the narrow streets of old Stonetown). The front of house was superb and Peter took care of us. The hotel has so much atmosphere, full of antiques and lush vegetation. Breakfast is in the roof balcony. Excursions can be organised. I had read a few unpleasant reviews but I can’t think why, cleanliness was first class and the hospitality was outstanding. I hope you are lucky enough to find a room - we stayed 3 nights it was so good.
DDaniMSAI landed at Golden Tulip because Trip.com messed up my booking elsewhere, and I only found out about it at the last minute.
The location is right by the port, on a side of town that feels quite sketchy. However, Stone Town is small and safe, so it didn’t matter too much. The rooms are nice enough. They have everything you need. People are friendly all over Zanzibar, and at the Golden Tulip no less. The pool is lovely, and service is okay. Sometimes I had to ask more than once, phone down because my towel had disappeared, or guide them through my own bill.
The restaurant is pretty bad. I’m not a particularly fussy eater, but don’t feel the need to eat bad food. I ordered three tester dishes on my first day, and didn’t finish any. Another traveler had a similar experience. Breakfast is okay. There is fruit, yoghurt, pastries, omelettes on request, toast, cereal sometimes, and a variety of hot dishes. Nobody seems to notice when the table has no cutlery or when the coffee, milk or a given hot dish runs out. Most days, I found the cereal (if they had it), fruit, and at least one hot dish edible.
CCheng Chi KeungAntique hotel. On the path inside Stone City. Breakfast fruit buffet, coffee tea buffet. Breakfast order yourself. Mushroom beans are cooked. Egg queue. Bread toast. Very satisfied.
Radiotherapy is smaller. The hotel arranged a barge to pick up a tour to Guidao. Taxi is also arranged by the hotel. Cheap price.
GGuest UserBEYT AL SALAAM was superb. Aminia and team were the nicest people we have met. There kind assistance with all our plans and excursions made our holiday truly unforgettable. The room was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. A large comfortable bed with chrisp white linen and very comfortable pillows. It had an airconditioner, ceiling fan, tv and tea and coffee facilities. A nice indoor swimming pool
TRULY A GEM.
Thank you so much for making our holiday so memorable.
