This B&B is nestled inside the historic Laocangmen, just a stone's throw from Qilishantang, and within Suzhou's charming old city. The location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to visit attractions like Humble Administrator's Garden in the city center, or further afield to Lingering Garden and Hanshan Temple. The room decor is beautiful, and the owner thoughtfully provided complimentary fruit. If you're unsure where to eat, there's an old restaurant called Juxinchun not far from the B&B, popular with locals and serving delicious food – definitely worth a try.

The house is located right in the heart of Zhouzhuang Ancient Town, a very scenic and traditional area. When you open the door, there's a clear path straight to the window, and from there, you get a picturesque view of the river right outside, with a bridge in the distance and shops on the opposite bank. It really captures that classic 'small bridge, flowing water, and local homes' vibe. The room itself was quite clean, and the owner was incredibly welcoming. We're a family of three, and they thoughtfully provided an extra comforter for us without us even asking.

This is a great Republic of China-era hotel, tucked away in a quiet spot yet still central. The courtyard is very unique, and the hotel's location is excellent. It's about 800 meters from popular attractions like Geyuan Garden, Heyuan Garden, Dongguan Street, Pishi Street, Dongguan Ancient Ferry, and Xing Street – all within easy reach. There are also plenty of dining options; the famous Erchun Fried Rice is right next door, and old brands like Fuchun Teahouse, Maopailou, and Gonghechun are all nearby. It's incredibly convenient for an after-dinner stroll. The service is excellent, and the rooms are clean and hygienic. Located at the entrance of a small alley, it's wonderfully peaceful and beautiful. If time permits, brewing a pot of tea and sitting in the courtyard to soak in the 'slow Yangzhou' vibe would be truly delightful!

I think of all the 12 hotels we stayed the month traveling China, this hotel will be the top scorer: It was located in the old historical area, and the hotel is a modern renovated interior in this historical building. The location was dead centre in the tourist area, the character of the old building with the Chinese house layout with the inner courts was magic and beautiful. The staff was friendly, the facilities was great. Room were big and modern with a very good interior designed fit out. Five stars for the hotel!

The hotel's location is fantastic. It's a 1-minute walk to Lion Grove Garden, and just 5 minutes to Humble Administrator's Garden and the Suzhou Museum. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff were proactive, offering to help with luggage without being asked, and their service attitude was excellent. The cleanliness was acceptable, and the facilities were basic but sufficient. The room pretty much matched the pictures. My only complaint is that the price surge during holidays was quite significant.

We stayed at the JieFu, and the front desk staff told us our room was upgraded. The location is excellent; it faces the main street and backs onto the Brahma Sea of Flowers. You can exit from both the front and back. Even if you don't go out, you can watch the fire dragons from the balcony. However, we still went down to the lawn, which was the closest spot to watch them, and it was truly beautiful. All the other attractions we wanted to visit were also very concentrated. We had a great time! 🥳

On my way to university, I was lucky to be able to relax in such a poetic and warm place. From the quaint decorations to the warm lighting, it was all pleasant. The room was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable and soft, equipped with a dehumidifier, and the northerners could easily stay, giving me a full rest during my tired journey. The service of the inn is even more impeccable. Everyone is warm and friendly. I just bid farewell to my family and feel the warmth of home again. In addition, the surrounding environment of the inn is also very beautiful, with both quiet alleys and convenient commercial streets. In short, this inn was a highlight of my trip and I would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends. I wish you a happy life and all the best!

This inn is in such a beautiful location. I only stayed one night, but definitely want to come back and stay longer. The host was warm and friendly. We connected on WeChat the day before and she provide a waypoint for gps when booking a car. She met up with me in the pedestrian street outside of the town’s gate to guide me in and helped with the luggage. The location is very convenient. This is an ancient town so the street surfaces are stone slabs and uneven cobblestones. But going in is mostly smooth, cross one bridge and the inn is right there, about as close to the entrance and as least hassle as you can get. The waterway in front of the inn is travelled by the row boats whether they’re on the day or evening tour route so there’s plenty to people watch from the balcony. Overall a great place, great host, and highly recommended. Little tip, if you can store luggage at the airport or train station, take only what you need for your stay so you don’t have too much luggage to weigh you down for the trek in and out. The balcony rooms are walkup only.

It's a homestay, the rooms are relatively large, especially the bathroom is too big, it's not necessary, the bathroom is like an external piece, part of the roof is made of translucent material, you can see that the roof is very dirty, the look is very bad, you can also see the trees outside, it feels very unsafe. The room floor and facilities did not feel very clean. There are teahouses and private rooms in the hotel's garden area, but they don't seem to be very clean. There are no screens or door curtains in the room, so I dare not open the door or window for fresh air. It's very noisy. There are always guests outside talking and laughing in the yard at night, which really affects the guests' rest. There are two kinds of breakfast, noodles + fried eggs, wontons + vegetarian buns + boiled eggs. You need to go to the front desk and tell the chef which one you want, and then he will make it for you. The taste is okay and the quantity is large. The hotel is relatively close to Nanchang Street, but very far from Yuantouzhu and Lingshan Scenic Spot. Service was ok.

This was my first time staying at a guesthouse-style hotel. It's located right on Dongguan Street, making it very convenient for shopping. It rained the day I went, and the lady there even brought an umbrella to pick me up – very thoughtful! The facilities were quite complete, the hotel was clean, and the environment was excellent. The front desk staff were also very welcoming and patiently answered all my questions. Yangzhou specialty souvenir: Tough glutinous rice candy

SStanley The Travel ManI arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket.

2203176****This guesthouse offers exceptional service, a definite upgrade from others I've stayed in. The room facilities are excellent, with Kohler brand fixtures in the bathroom. The courtyard is beautifully designed in a traditional, picturesque style. They provided information about free parking and a contact number. The owner is diligent, enthusiastic, and even offers electric cart transfers. The guesthouse is conveniently located right at the entrance to the scenic area, and the prices are very reasonable, making it great value for money in the Kunshan area.

CChoySamanthaThe hotel is located within Zhouzhuang Old Town, making it convenient to visit nearby museums. If you enter the old town after 5 PM, you can avoid the entrance fee. The hotel is also situated next to a temple, but unfortunately, the temple is currently under renovation and not open to tourists. One issue to note is the presence of mosquitoes, so be sure to bring insect repellent. Zhouzhuang offers a stunning night view — highly recommended! Don’t miss the boat ride; it costs 220 yuan per ride and can accommodate up to 6 people, including infants.

Aan9ie928The landlady was very warm and hospitable! During our stay, she added us on social media and gave us a detailed map showing us how to get to the hotel. Although the hotel isn't large, with only six rooms, the layout was very practical. Even after opening two large suitcases, there was still plenty of space to move around. The rooms were also very cozy and felt like home! If I have the chance to visit Suzhou again, I'll definitely choose your place again! 💕
