A rather mediocre experience. I've been a Ctrip member for 15 years and rarely leave bad reviews, so I'll give this a passing grade of 3.0. The main reasons for the average experience were: 1. My baby had a fever in the middle of the night and couldn't get up the next day. I wanted to take some breakfast back to the room, but they wouldn't allow it, and the staff's attitude was quite stiff. At over 1700 RMB for two nights for three adults and one child, the price wasn't cheap. Since the hotel couldn't be understanding towards me, I can't be understanding towards them in my rating. 2. There must be floor heating or central air conditioning, because the room was extremely dry, even drier than indoors in Beijing during the heating season.

Great service and location. The stay was very comfortable. The owner even picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, free of charge!! Their hospitality is very much appreciated. Will definitely recommend to anyone who wants to find a stay in Pingyao

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel, from the first moment until my check-out! They offered pick-up and drop-off at the train station, and I stayed in a very spacious room with beautiful decor! The family that runs the hotel is very kind and always very generous to me and my husband; we were impressed by how they treated us! We stayed 2 nights and it was very comfortable! I definitely recommend this place and would love to return someday; it's an excellent choice. May God continue to bless this wonderful and pleasant place.

This is the top choice when visiting Pingyao! It's right next to attractions, and shopping is incredibly convenient. The room is clean and comfortable, the bedding is soft, the courtyard has a lovely ambiance, and the service is excellent.

The location is right in the heart of the ancient city, making it super convenient for dining and sightseeing – everything is just a stone's throw away. I went with my family for New Year's, and the welcome gifts were a thoughtful touch. The courtyard at night is beautiful, exactly as pictured. Our room was very warm with underfloor heating, and it was clean and hygienic. The in-house travel photography service was very professional; the makeup and styling were exquisite, and the photographer was excellent. It added so many wonderful memories to our trip.

Conveniently located near the Temple of the City God, a major attraction in the ancient city. The host is incredibly warm-hearted and cultivated, offering pre-arranged train station pick-up and drop-off, which completely eliminates the stress of navigating. The guesthouse features a private courtyard, and the rooms are decorated with an old-world charm that perfectly matches the ancient city's character, yet they are equipped with all modern amenities. The massive kang bed was big enough for our family of three to comfortably sleep together. A simple Chinese-style breakfast of pastries was provided, and the host's recommendations for touring routes were incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

My Pingyao trip was made perfect by staying at Qigong Mansion. This century-old courtyard, hidden in the heart of the ancient city, has a story etched into every brick and tile. Staying here felt like a journey back in time. What touched me even more was the owner's attentive and thoughtful service throughout our stay; he even personally drove us to the station, which was truly a rare kindness. Pingyao has the scenery, and Qigong Mansion has the heart. Next time I'm in Pingyao, I'll definitely come back here. I genuinely recommend Qigong Mansion to all friends visiting Pingyao – you won't regret choosing it!

The B&B has an excellent location, right within the pedestrian street. Food, drinks, and entertainment are all nearby, which is very convenient. The front is a storefront, and the back is a courtyard with a beautifully decorated night view. The room isn't huge, but there's an umbrella outside with three chairs and a table, perfect for eating or chatting. The small courtyard is enclosed, so even though it's on the first floor, you don't feel a lack of privacy. Everything is well-equipped, and the service attitude is great. The only downside was the smell of smoke. It got much better after opening the doors and windows to air it out, but it returned after closing them at night. Since we checked in at 11 PM, we didn't bother contacting the front desk. I hope they can improve this. They kindly gave us some local specialty vinegar and pastries, which was a nice touch. Due to time constraints, we didn't get to try on the ancient costumes, but we plan to come back and do it next time. Parking for cars is outside the city gate and costs 20 yuan for the night. Electric vehicle charging is a bit far away, so plan ahead for that. The guided tour and electric cart ride cost 120 yuan, which I honestly think is completely unnecessary – consider this a heads-up to avoid that expense! Pingyao Ancient City is definitely worth experiencing, and this B&B is also highly recommended.

The hotel staff provide outstanding customer service, and I especially want to highlight Ana — she is amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful, but my room felt old and was not as clean as it should have been. I was also very disappointed that a western breakfast was not provided. Since I was the only guest in the room, it would only require one portion, and I believe a western breakfast should be included free of charge. I hope the hotel can improve in these areas to better match the excellent service of the staff.
