It’s a really nice hotel. The breakfast is great. However the location is a little bit awkward. Really far away from the metro and the bus is not reliable.
If you are using uber to get around the city. It should be all right.
The district of the hotel is okay. Sometimes you feel sketchy when you walk alone, but if you choose the different route with more people. It feels all right.
Overall a nice trip, and a pretty fancy hotel for the price. I would consider it more like a 4**** hotel than a 5 star, personally.
highlights:
- beautiful lobby and view from our room of the mountains, beach, etc.
- kind people at the desk and otherwise. very safe inside even though neighborhood is a bit sketchy at times.
- great bed, windows, bathtub, etc..
- affordable as an american for level of service.
- spa and rooftop restaurant are amazing. gym is great too!
dealbreakers: (may stop me from booking next time)
- wifi was basically broken the entire time in our room, and in the hotel at times. less than 10mbits, and no signal in most of our room. front desk said several times they'd fix but I don't think they have the ability to actually fix it. many other people had this issue as well. at a 5* hotel, this should not be happening. major issue, had to do meetings in the lobby to get it to function at all.
- breakfast is *good* but definitely caters towards a local brazilian diet (very few options for vegans). as a vegetarian, I'll just say I ate a lot of eggs and cheese. but hey, that's brazil so not digging on the hotel too much on that.
- elevator is incredibly busy, and there were times where it literally said ”not available” and we had to wait 5 minutes to actually use it.
- there are *TONS* of families with kids in and around the pool when we went. so environment was quite loud and crazy most of the time. they do timeshares so I think mostly big families frequent the hotel.
- we booked and paid extra for the *Junior Suite* (with a large living room as well as bath). the front desk gave us the *room with bath* which ended up being nice.. but is half the size, and refused to put us in the junior suite room, even after showing the reservation. this may be a Trip.com issue instead of the hotel.. but they didn't offer any compensation or flexibility for us. trip did refund us the difference in price though.
overall, its a great deal for the price, and the architecture is amazing, the room is nice, good water pressure. horrible wifi and very few vegetarian options made it difficult to recommend again, but we liked our stay nonetheless.
Amazing experience, I like hotels and this one made me want to stay a little longer. Impeccable service, restaurant that values different cuisine, from dinner to sheik's coffee.
Note: we ate pizza, but what a pizza it was... 😱

counter staff member was fantastic and checked us in once rooms were ready, car park is a big advantage and is off street secure., pool up top is flash area. nice rooms which for the budget level were great.
Modern and updated hotel.
The rooms are comfortable and soundproofed.
The staff is courteous and knowledgeable, befitting a hotel of this quality.
We will definitely return!

Hi, all. It was a very strange hotel without any free water, or tee, or coffee in the room. All breakfasts were the same, without any difference for 10 days. Coffee machines didn't work.
Special problem was to enter the room, because the e-key didn't work often. I had to ask manager to fix the e-key to open the door many times.
Nespresso capsules which i found in the room costed 8 reals for one. And i knew about it only at the chekout. In the room there were no price list for coffee, but the price list for mini bar was there.
Excellent hotel, food, staff. Josep Gabriel Tomás Thais is a genius. He helped me find accommodation until I could return to the Radisson in 4 days. He cares about the guests. The hotel and Josep are a pleasure. Thank you.
The hotel has very comfortable rooms and the breakfast is very varied and delicious! The view from the pool is beautiful! This is the 4th time we have stayed there!
Wonderful hotel, spacious, clean, airy room, with a balcony facing the street, very attractive, super comfortable beds, super cold air conditioning, strong and warm shower, bedspreads available, TOP pool, large and beautiful on the terrace with a super cool view, and super plentiful and delicious breakfast, I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely return.
It's not the first time I stayed in that hotel, this time I booked for my daily trip was with the wrong date.
The hotel, the manager, the reception, the chef of the kitchen... the general team. The whole situation was amenable and welcomed by them, once again I felt perfectly welcomed by their hospitality. It doesn't make much sense for me to come to Buzios and not pass through the Greek!
Environment, hygiene, service, bar team, kitchen, management. I have to thank you!

AAnonymous UserGreat accommodation! I like staying at the Riale, especially because of its location in Catete, close to the subway and the Museu da República, shops, restaurants, pharmacies and the Flamego park, which is a wonderful tourist attraction in Rio de Janeiro. However, I still think the hotel needs to be renovated. The daily rate does not match the accommodations offered.
The cleanliness is excellent and the breakfast is reasonable. However, when the room key card did not open the door, I had to walk back to the reception through the huge, hot hallways. I stayed in a room with an air conditioner so old that the noise did not let me sleep well. I shared the room with a friend and we could not use the bathroom in private because the bathroom door did not close.
The staff is very friendly, but they forgot some cosmetics in the shower and did not even contact me to let me know, which I thought was rude.
CCostaNelsonVery friendly staff, nice hotel. I booked a suite for one night, the room was clean although it could use some refurbishing. One window didn't lock, so the noise from the street was constant. Located in a street with some stores, but not an area where you feel safe walking around. No toiletries included apart from s soap and shower gel/shampoo. Coffee machine in the bedroom with 2 coffee pods. I couldn't see a menu anywhere, assumed these were complimentary, as in most hotels where you rent a suite. I was surprised to be charged 1.5 USD per capsule on checkout, and that there was a QR code informing me of this in the room. I couldn't find it anywhere though.
All in all, great staff, but there is definitely a much better price to service/location ratio than this hotel in Rio
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very good, right near the sea. The sea is just across the road. There is an outdoor swimming pool on the roof. You can see the whole beach and Monte Cristo in the distance. The breakfast is also very rich and the service attitude is also very good. I will continue to book here next time.
GGuest UserThe hotel has a nice location on the beach, but the property could do with some updates.
The first room I went into had a funny smell, so I reported it to reception. The male receptionist looked at me, and as if he doubted my word
After I insisted, he assigned me a new room, but it was left to me to move my luggage. . No support was offered and I couldn’t be bothered to ask.
I did ask if there would be any complimentary water put in the room. He said he would get housekeeping to put some water, but I’m still waiting two days later.
Power outlets in the room are limited and not designed for modern travel. No USB points.
The TV is old and not smart or Internet connected. There are no cable channels so nearly all of the channels are local language apart from one CNN news channel in English..
The hotel is quite noisy and dogs. The walls are thin and guests scrape furniture across the marble floors. This is relatively easy to remedy if the hotel cared.
The rooftop pool was disappointing as it’s quite small and normally full of kids.
The restaurant is closed after breakfast. There is a bar, but it’s never open..
The biggest problem I had was the Internet. It did not work properly in my room and kept cutting out every few minutes. I had to stand in the corridor or come down to the lobby in order to get any decent coverage. I complained to the staff, but they did nothing and just told me it works.. This was extremely frustrating and I certainly wouldn’t come back to this hotel again.
GGuest UserThe room is large, with a large balcony that overlooks the beach. The decoration is relatively old. Breakfast is a variety of breads and pastries, too sweet, and the grilled sausages are too salty. There is a private beach and swimming pool with a nice view. It is near a wealthy area with good security and many people outside at night.
去去有風的地方The hotel is 390 meters away from Copacabana Beach. The location is good. The entrance to the hotel is right next to the subway station. It is very convenient to use the subway service. There are many choices for breakfast. The price/performance ratio is good. It is recommended to stay.
