Represented good value for money. Room was well equipped with its own mini kitchen. Good sized bathroom, especially by French standards. We were a little disappointed by breakfast as item replenishment was very slow and choice not as good as other Odalys Hotels, although maybe because demand for breakfast was lower.

Brilliant stay at Le Grand Balcon - only reason I knocked it down to 4* (and in reality it was more 4.8) was the state of the carpet in the room. Looked like it has been piecemealed together, had what looked like blood near the bed, and needed another hoover. Other than that, facilities were excellent, staff were super friendly and it’s in SUCH a good location. Carpet wouldn’t stop me staying there again, that’s for sure!

Good location in downtown. Supermarket is just nearby and 2 restaurants. The staffs are friendly and supporting. The shower is quite hot and instant which is good. Only the hotel also next to the train station so some noises during the night. With earplug should be okay.

A few members of staff are able to speak fluent English. Vending machine available on the ground floor. 15 mins walk to Blagnac commercial centre where you can find supermarket and restaurants. A bit off from transport links towards city centre but it’s only 20 mins walk from the airport. Room is clean in general while you can spot limescale around the tap. Basic kitchen utensils are available but no condiments.

Everything with the hotel is excellent. Check in staff and house keeping are nice. One thing needs consideration is to resume provisions of bath mat in the shower room. Its a safety measurements. The bath tub is slippery when the shower is on. Amenities like toothpaste, tooth brush, slippers could be saved but safety measurements could not be sacrifice.

The area is so convenient, close to the city center and the metro...it takes about fifteen minutes to travel to the main sights of Toulouse, but we chose it fully aware of the facts. The hotel offers good value for money, especially the location. The room is spacious but the carpet is a bit old. Wi-Fi works fine. The room was very clean. But there is no elevator, so you can ask the staff to help you carry your luggage.

The bed in the standard room is wide enough for a family of three. It is very convenient to go to Capitol Square. There is free mineral water in the room. Overall, it is not bad. The disadvantage is that it is a bit old and the corridor smells a bit musty.

JJacquelineThe hotel was exactly as the photos showed. I was surprised to be asked for 150 euros deposit, This needs to be more transparent before booking. It’s difficult to find where this wording appears. Also my room on the 5 floor was almost impossible to sleep in due to very strong cooking smells permeating my room, from where I’m not sure. A shame because the hotel is very convenient for the main railway station in Toulouse.

GGuest UserHere’s a clearer, more polished version of your review while keeping your honest tone: ⸻ B&B Hotel Toulouse – Review The hotel is in a great location for visiting Cité de l’Espace. We were able to park at the hotel and walk to the attraction, which was very convenient. The staff we encountered were lovely, and the room was very clean. There was also good free Wi-Fi and a wall-mounted TV. However, there were several drawbacks. We arrived at 9pm and found there were no staff on site. Instead, we had to use a digital check-in system to obtain codes for both the building and our room. As there were two of us, the system required separate details and email addresses for each guest before issuing the code, which was frustrating after a long journey. The restaurant next door was closed (it doesn’t open on weekends or public holidays), so we had to walk over a mile to find food, which wasn’t ideal late in the evening. The air conditioning was ineffective, it made a lot of noise but didn’t actually blow any cool air. We ended up opening the windows, but it was a very hot night, so this didn’t help much. The bedding wasn’t 100% cotton, which made it uncomfortable in the heat. Finally, the shower was extremely small and wouldn’t be suitable for a larger person. No carpets in the rooms.

GGuest UserI arrived in the evening after a long train journey. The receptionist whose English was brilliant immediately put me at my ease, giving me all sorts of useful information - including where to get a meal and how to get out from the garden side. My room was across the garden and largely unlit so it was a bit of an adventure getting there the first time. The decor and facilities in the room itself were a little 1960ish., though it did have an iron and ironing board so I was able to neaten myself up before going out. I did feel a little nervous using the shower as the bath was plastic and I’m a large old guy. I found getting in and out slightly tricky. Breakfasts were good though.Montpellier itself was strange - lots of grandiose architecture but not much shade. The old town was slightly disappointing somehow (but then I was only there for a couple of days). Leaving was complicated by another national day of (in)action. When I heard that the tram I needed to get to Montpellier Sud de France station had been held up by the demonstrators in town, reception came to the rescue and ordered me a taxi so I was able to get the train back. So to sum up a quirky hotel with terrific staff.

AAnonymous UserThe location is excellent, right in the city center, making it incredibly convenient for both transportation and sightseeing. However, the cleanliness was very poor, and they didn't offer any room cleaning or linen change services during my entire six-day stay. The room itself was quite small, but this was somewhat offset by the affordable price. The biggest issue, though, was the extremely poor soundproofing! I could only fall asleep late at night once all activity on the stairs had ceased, and every morning I was abruptly woken by the footsteps of other guests. While the front desk staff weren't overly warm or chatty, they were very nice and helpful whenever assistance was needed.

AAng_ieWe stayed at Hôtel Golf Fontcaude for more than a week during winter, and overall, it left a very clear impression of being well maintained and thoughtfully equipped. The first thing that really stood out was how clean everything was. The rooms, common areas—everything felt spotless and well cared for. That sense of cleanliness immediately made the stay more comfortable and reassuring. The hotel is also well equipped, especially with the many rooms featuring a kitchenette. For a longer stay like ours, this made a huge difference. Being able to prepare simple meals and settle into a routine gave the place a practical, almost apartment-like feel. That said, staying there in winter came with one small drawback. The floor was quite cold, and without carpet, it was noticeable—especially in the mornings. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it’s something worth knowing if you’re visiting during the colder months. Overall, Hôtel Golf Fontcaude felt clean, functional, and well suited for longer stays, particularly if you value space and self-catering. A warm pair of slippers in winter would definitely make it even better.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel facilities are average, with a small kitchen, a supermarket within 10 minutes' walk, and a 15-minute walk to the old town. Boiled water will have a lot of white sediment, and locals say that the water in the southern part of the judge has this problem.

TT/RFellow travelers, I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Montpellier. The location of this hotel is truly superior and the staff are welcoming, proficient and accommodating. The facilities are tidy and clean, and the common areas boast old world charm while the rooms are modern and well appointed. I particularly enjoyed the fantastic water pressure in the shower, and the quality toiletries with proper pump hand soap for washing hands opposed to grimy bar soap. The separate water closet was also a thoughtful touch that I wish all hotels had. The room was large for European standards with clever storage options, and I appreciated the attention to detail in its design. If you are driving, I strongly advise illegally parking in front of the hotel prior to check-in and asking exactly how to get to the parking garage. This will save loads of time and you’ll avoid circling one-way streets. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel as a fantastic choice for your stay in Montpellier. We will absolutely stay again upon our next visit to the city.

GGuest UserThe location is very convenient, just south of the train station. The facade is small and a little detour. There is Carrefour downstairs and it is very convenient to have breakfast. There is a water dispenser next to the elevator on the first floor to pour water for free. After 22 o'clock in the evening, the front desk will get off work, so you need to press the password to enter. Everything in the apartment, kitchenette, refrigerator stove, tableware. The refrigerator needs to confirm whether it is powered. I didn't pay attention to putting the food directly. I found that the refrigerator was not powered the next morning. The toilet is not satisfied with the no countertop, it is not easy to put things. The sanitation is generally the same, and the door cannot be locked internally. Compared to the hotel north of the train station, it is cost-effective. The black front desk is very good, the four-person room is booked, the three people who come, specially told to collect taxes and fees according to the head.
