An excellent short stay in this B&B situated above a tea room in the village of Bonsall.
Check-in is a small window of 2 hours between 2 and 4 pm but it does state that you can organise late check-in if you are stuck. Best to avoid the area around the Heights of Abraham when traveling in at the weekend as it gets very busy.
We were there just to check out the area for walking and it suited our needs perfectly. The owner greeted us and made sure we settled in and as a bonus, the tea room was still open to allow us to sample their delicious cakes before unpacking. We went to the Kings Head pub for dinner which is a 3-minute walk up the hill and I must say it was a good choice. Another place with great hospitality with a mix of locals and visitors but more importantly good honest grub.
Breakfast was probably one of the best we have ever had at a B&B it was plentiful and there was no compromise on quality, perfect to fuel us for another day on the hills.

Everything is perfect, I cannot find any drawbacks to this hotel. Very close to a bus stop and a railway station, surrounded by many spectacular and interesting restaurants, so you will not suffer from finding food or packing lunch for hiking
Stayed for two nights in this beautiful country hotel. A very warm welcome on arrival and then shown to a beautiful large room, The Kedleston. It had everything you could wish for and a very comfortable bed. I was staying to visit relatives nearby but it would make an excellent base for exploring the area. Kedleston Hall, National Trust is on the doorstep and a must to visit. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, I didn’t eat in the evenings but the menu looked really good and if breakfast was anything to go on it will be fabulous. I will definitely return to stay and also take my family to the restaurant. Thank you to all your excellent staff for a very enjoyable stay.
I traveled to the UK some time ago and stayed at the White Horse Woolley Moore Hotel in Derbyshire. The overall experience is very good. I will share it with you!
The layout of the room is warm and comfortable, the space is spacious, the lighting is good, and the beautiful pastoral scenery is seen from the window, which is simply a natural landscape painting. The facilities in the room are also very complete, the bed is super comfortable, the bathroom is clean and tidy, and the quality of toiletries is also good. It is worth mentioning that fresh milk is also prepared in the room, which is convenient for making tea or coffee. This small detail is really a plus!
The hotel's restaurant has a rich variety of dishes, fresh ingredients, and a rich variety of breakfasts. The classic combination of English breakfast is available. For dinner, we ordered local steaks and fish and chips. The steak was fresh and juicy. The fish and chips were tender and tender in the outer and inner, which made people feel endless.
However, the hotel also has some minor flaws. For example, the hotel's network signal is not particularly stable, and sometimes the video will freeze, which may have a little impact on people who need to deal with work at any time.
But overall, the White Horse Woollimore Hotel is still highly recommended. Whether it is the beautiful environment, comfortable accommodation, delicious food and warm service, it is impressive.
We stayed for one night in December and really like this hotel. Our room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was very good (I recommend booking in advance, as it was busy on a Saturday night), and breakfast in the morning, also very good. We will be happy to return some time!
The sanitation inside the hotel is very clean and tidy
The heating, hot water and water in the room are sufficient
There is a walking path near the hotel to go up the mountain to watch the sunrise 👍🏻
A lovely little hotel next to M1, very convenient. Great service brilliant fresh full English breakfasts. Rooms a little small, but comfortable... with a nice hot shower too
Very Good

GGuest UserWe stayed for 1 night for a special occasion. On arrival we were told that the spa was closed for an event which was very disappointing as I booked this hotel because of the spa & had planned to use the pool & sauna. This should gave been communicated at the time of booking. The building and grounds were impressive but on arrival our featured superior room was freezing cold. The reception turned on the heating at our request but this should have been done hours before our arrival given that it was 8 degrees outside. We sat for an hour in the room with our coats on before asking for a portable heater due to the radiators being only lukewarm. The room never really got warm & when we came back from dinner at 9.15 the heating had been turned off again & we had to ask for it to be turned on again. The food in the restaurant was very good & the servers were lovely but unorganised. We planned to have a drink in the hotel bar but it was so cold that it was empty and not comfortable to stay. I heard kore than one staff member complain about the cold in the hotel. What could have been a very pleasant stay was spoiled by the cold. Unfortunately, we will not return.

GGuest UserWhat a great hotel. Every member of staff I encountered was well trained and knew exactly how to engage guests and ensure their visit was exactly as they wanted it to be. From entering the hotel and breathing in the most beautiful fragrance to immaculate well designed rooms - plug and USB sockets built into the bed frame! I wish I had been able to try the spa - next time! I was supposed to get to the hotel earlier and had a table booked, but I was delayed so I had to cancel it - the menu looks amazing and certainly worth a visit for that alone. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with the usual English breakfast items, an assortment of continental options (fruit, salami and the like) and tea and filter coffee, refilled by the attentive restaurant team. I wish I lived closer so I could go to some of the special events they put on in here. Just check out the hotel website to see what I mean.
GGuest UserNeeded convenient stopping point from Surrey to Chestefield, one night, for a funeral. Location ideal. Despite proximity to M1 itself, road noise was not excessive. Receptionist was really welcoming; gave me a choccie bar and bottle of water. You can stroll to the services for Mcdonald's or Costa - and WH Smith etc, (if open). . The overall decor is a bit 'tired' but everything was clean, bed fresh, coffee/tea facilities. Would have preferred the radio to be fitted by the bedside not table across the room (!). Freeview TV quite adequate for one night........ Bedroom was huge (guess it would double up as a family room at times) - and possibly I could have taken my dog with me, in which case the extra space was great.
For functionality cannot fault.

GGuest UserAwesome 1 night stay over, used the gym facilities in this occasion and were of an excellent standard all round. As always, cannot praise the staff enough and the beautiful room once again! 10 out of 10 ☺️
GGuest UserThis was a trip for my birthday which was Sunday 26th January we had some requests before we arrived and they forfilled this for us.
We had an early check in on Friday which was plan sailing.
Breakfast on my birthday wasn't the best due to not really having anything left and having to ask for things like bread for toast and milk for cereal. We had to ask for juice plates and also knifes and forks.
Overall the pool was good ( cold) but wasn't overly busy which i like due to suffering with anxiety issues.

GGuest UserThe place was nice and simple. Very good location near the station and not far from the city centre. Good value for money if you are looking for somewhere to stay for a few nights. Staff were pleasant.
GGuest UserBreakfast is not really included as such. Only the continental buffet. This is cereal, fruits, cereal bars, baked items and a large selection of cakes, including mince pies, which was odd for breakfast. The hot breakfast requires a surcharge to be paid, something I’ve never experienced before. The full English would be best described as part English breakfast, with no sausages, tomatoes, or mushrooms included which is a bit of an insult when you’re paying a surcharge. I can’t fault the service, or anything else, but this felt a bit naughty to be doing.
