The room was clean and I was able to stay comfortably.
Although it was a single room, there were two sets of towels, which was convenient. There were also two bottles of water. The ReFa hair dryer was very good. The room was dry, so the humidifier was also very helpful.
I would stay again if I have the opportunity.
The room is pretty small and has a musky smell which can be resolved by opening the hotel windows
Decent enough for a 3 star hotel and the price
The small room is a double bed as twin bed cost much more.
It was a love hotel, but it was good without such a love hotel feeling.
The room was large enough.
Also, the bath and toilet are separate, and the bed is large
It was good because it was cheap.
Absolute gem in Takayama. It was an impulse last min booking hence we arrived and check in late but got a good deal.
We were upgraded to the suite room which is a total surprise. Room was huge! There's living hall on one side, and bedroom on another side.
There aren't many tall buildings in Takayama. Hence, we can look out the window for the whole town scenery. Surrounded by mountain and snowing in the morning, such a lovely stay.
Hotel has public thermal pool on the ground floor free for guests. Breakfast was sufficient but can be long queue.
Overall, it's a good short stay at a lovely hotel.
I was surprised that there was no parking lot, but there were coin parking lots nearby that cost 250 yen or 300 yen for 24 hours, so it wasn't a problem.
Cleaning is done once a week. There is no breakfast service. Luggage cannot be picked up or stored.
Coin laundry: 300 yen for washing, 100 yen for drying/30 minutes.
Detergent is sold separately for 50 yen at the front desk, but be careful as the front desk is unmanned at night and early in the morning.
Place is exceptional. Cleanliness, showers, toilets all available and really great quality.
Only down side was the distance if the weather was bad. I can't blame them as weather is uncontrollable, but it's pretty tough to be dragging heavy luggages over to and fro in the rain or snow. Else if it was slightly nearer to the food areas, it would have been spectacular, else it's perfect!
Pure self-service remote check-in, convenient and flexible management mode. Although Airbnb is unmanaged, the overall facilities, hygiene, kitchen, lobby and other details are in place, bringing convenience and self-discipline to travelers.
The location is about 12 minutes' walk from the JR station, which is a bit far. It is very close to the morning market, Takayama Jinya, etc. If you are in a room with a river window, you can directly see the morning market, which is very convenient.
We booked a double room for the weekend, originally wanting two single beds, but when we placed the order, there was only a room with a small double bed available. When checking in, I asked the hotel if they could provide a room with two single beds, but they initially said no. But in the end they accommodated my request and provided the last room with two single beds that night. Thanks for that.
Hotel is located very near to the train station. The room has kitchen facilities and washing machine. Service at check in reception was however lacking. Staff needs to be trained.

HHoIrisExcellent location, 5min walk to train/ bus station and convenience store. Like the design of the hotel and there is outdoor and indoor hot springs on 9/F, very chill when soaking in hot spring outdoor in winter time.
Breakfast is 2,800yen per adult and half price for kid. The ambience is super nice and the food is fairly good. The breakfast starts at 6:45am, a good choice for those who need to catch the early bus.
AAnonymous UserThis hotel exceeded our expectation! It is very near the Nohi Bus station and the JR Takayama station (3-5 min walk). Although we just stayed overnight, we had a memorable experience in Takayama Ouan. The hotel has a lot of freebies for their guests. They have a booth in the lobby where guests can get free brewed coffee, hot tea, and green lemon iced tea. They also provide free socks since the hotel have tatami flooring. What we also loved about this hotel is the onsen (separate public onsen for male and female, and 3 private onsen). They also have a freezer where guests can get free iced cream after bathing. During past 9 pm, they also have free ramen for their guests. The room is spacious, and the view from our window is also nice (the roads and establishments covered with snow). Aside from the free stuff and great amenities, we also appreciate the kind and friendly staff members. We accidentally lost the luggage claim tag (and we are willing to pay for it) but they didn't charge us anything.
When we go back to Takayama, we will definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserLOVE this place!!! Room is clean and spacious, the beddings ever so soft and comfortable. They fed us very well during our stay too!!! Love those little deco resembling the grass houses. So cute!! Look at the view we had at breakfast!!!
All staff speak very good English, all extremely attentive and sweet.
They give out free ramen and popsicles for late evening snacks and yogurt drinks around breakfast time too.
Very pleasant stay I must say. Would definitely stay there again if I am in the area.
QQoo1491The interior is ok size but very old, like 80’s . Staffs are helpful, the public hot spring without any staffs, also just too small. Given such pricing can’t expert too much. Is reasonable
雲雲尼王A small hot spring hotel. I really feel the hotel's care. Compared to more prosperous areas, I prefer this kind of remote small hotel. I feel that the hotel wants to do every place carefully. Although the price is cheap, there are many details. Everything is well done. For example, there is a self-service snack and drink area in the lobby, which is available 24 hours a day. Yukata for children is also provided. The hotel rooms are very clean. I wonder if they have been renovated, so the rooms are very new and clean.
GGuest UserMy stay at this hot spring hotel was disappointing, especially in terms of food and service. The dinner experience lacked any semblance of service standards. The food was already placed in the room before we entered, and the waiter merely asked if we lit the fire without offering explanations or providing a menu. They also kept forgetting different cutlery for various dishes, making the experience feel chaotic and unprofessional. The food itself was very ordinary, far below the quality I've experienced at other hot spring hotels.
The private onsen was another letdown, as the water switch was broken, leaving us unable to adjust the temperature or flow. This meant enduring uncomfortably hot water throughout. Breakfast was similarly disappointing—simple and uninspired, offering no surprises or variety. Overall, this hotel fell well short of the standard expected from a hot spring retreat.

AAnonymous UserIt is really a treasure hotel. Although it is a bit far from the city center, it is still recommended to charter a car. The winding mountain road finally drove to this hot spring hotel. The room is clean and very large. There are two super large cherry trees and rolling mountains when you open the window. It is really amazing. It was raining and foggy on the day of check-in. The hot spring has indoor and outdoor. It is open 24 hours a day and there are few people. After soaking in the hot spring, I had a glass of milk, which was really comfortable. The breakfast and dinner were also very good. They were all in the form of set meals. If you feel that it is not enough, you can also add some snacks. It is not bad for this price.
PParmenova JuliaAwesome ryokan with history! Very convenient to get to the place. The train offers beautiful views of the Hida Valley, mountain rivers and cute villages, this already prepares for a super experience. The purple bus will meet you at the station and take you up the mountain.
The ryokan is huge and consists of several buildings. And even if there are many guests in the ryokan, you will get a really calm and peaceful stay. The rooms are in a traditional style, each one is different from the other. The rooms are spacious and very beautiful. The windows open up to views of the mountains, the forest. The ryokan itself is like a labyrinth, you can wander through the corridors and each time find a treasure: private onsens, billiards, a rest room, a viewing site. I took a room with an onsen inside, and I never regretted it. It was wonderful to sit in my own onsen with a view of the mountains and admire the sunset. An unforgettable experience. The public onsen is also great. There is an indoor bath and an outdoor bath with wonderful decoration. The kaiseki dinner is also great. It is brought to your room. It is very tasty, entertaining and exciting. Each dish is elegantly served, served on the most beautiful tableware, which makes it equal to art. I only regretted one thing, that I did not stay longer. This day in the ryokan Yunoshimakan made my trip to Japan unforgettable! Thank you!
