This hotel is amazing! Location: Super near to Xiamen Railway station, only a 3-5 mins drive away. Facilities and hygiene: Very generous with the space. Comfortably fits 2 or even more large size luggages. Interior is impressive and comparable to 4-star hotels I’ve stayed in China. They even allow you to choose your pillows! My friend went for the massage in the hotel and she said it’s the best one she had in China. Service: The best part of our stay. Check-in is fast and they offered to help us deliver our luggages to our room. During our stay we found out that thr is a small stain on our pillow and called the front desk to request for a change. They apologised and quickly changed our pillows, we even received complimentary fruits and snacks from them. Really impressive service recovery! And did I mention they even offered high speed hairdryer and type C and A cables in the room! I brought my laifen hairdryer for nothing hahaha If you’re an international traveller looking for a comfy stay in the centre of Xiamen, I’d highly recommend this hotel. I’ve already sent it to a few of my friends who frequent Xiamen often😉

This must be my worst stay in a hotel for the last 3 years. The rooms are huge but their sound proof is so bad that when anyone on the same floor closes his door, my room door quakes. So you can imagine how you feel when you are in deep sleep and you are suddenly awaken by a loud bang. Every so often. Middle of the night.  Secondly, the aircon in the room continuously blew cold air. Seems this is the setting of their central aircon and my room was an icy 20 degrees throughput. Location wise, it is near the old town but not so near that you can easily walk. Yes there are limited public buses but limited services near the hotel and their frequency leaves much to be desired. Your best bet is go for ride hailing. Fortunately these are very affordable and the city of Zhangzhou is small. Safety box in the room did not work. And yes I did follow the operating instructions  On the plus side, hotel has outdoor hot spring pools but I didn’t try them as the weather was too cold. Manager apologised profusely and tried to compensate us with fruits and bottled water. In my mind it did not make up for 4 nights of poor quality sleep.

This stay was great! Bob, the front desk clerk, was very enthusiastic, checked in quickly and professionally, and introduced the surrounding attractions carefully. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was rich and delicious. I must give it a thumbs up and I will come again next time!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Intercontinental Quanzhou, and I must say, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff, Lucus greeted me with warmth and professionalism, making me feel instantly at home. Check-in was seamless, and they even offered a toy doll to my daughter, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was spacious, immaculate, and well-appointed, with all the amenities I could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. What really stood out, though, was the attention to detail. Every part of the hotel, from the lobby to the dining area, exuded elegance and care. The breakfast were also fantastic. The varieties of foods were huge and the food was delicious, Throughout my stay, the concierge team provided excellent recommendations for local attractions, and the housekeeping staff kept the room in pristine condition. I also appreciated the seamless checkout process, making for a smooth end to an outstanding stay. All in all, intercontinental delivered a world-class experience, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, stress-free getaway. The combination of top-tier service, beautiful surroundings, and attention to detail made this a stay to remember.

Location is unbeatable. Right in the middle of where all the old city tourist action is. Very convenient to flag down one of those RMB2 per trip electric buggies which will pick you up and drop you off anywhere within the old city tourist area. Loads of food choices within walking distance. Room is decent size and I like the hotel carpets with the famous citong flowers. Hotel was probably a 5 star hotel in its hey days. Decor is jaded but well maintained. Counter staff is hit and miss. Some are pleasant and courteous while some are like army captains frowning on stupid English speaking guests!! Housekeeping staff tend to pay very close attention to guests' coming and leaving. It seems that they would like you out of your room by 8am for housekeeping services. Do not disturb signs are ignored. Did not try the hotel food as outside food choices seem more appealing.

Although this is an old hotel, but the overalls are quite well maintained. Bath room in the room is clean and I like it that it is a well enclosed bath room and not the type with a see through glass which gives no privacy. Shortfall about this hotel is there is no USB charging plug. So if you only have the charging cord and no usb plug, then you might have to borrow the plug from the front. The WiFi didn’t work and I wasn’t able to log in, it was too late when I check in so I couldn’t be bothered to check with front desk. This time was the 5 1 long holiday and I requested to check out at 2 pm when check in and was promptly rejected. I was actually willing to pay extra to check out 2 hours later. Later the front desk was able to let me check out at 1 pm.

Had a lovely 3 night stay over Christmas break. Took a 3 hour high speed train from Shanghai. The hotel offers free pick up service from the train station with reservation made in advance. Everything was very smooth. When we arrived at the hotel, my kids enjoyed the buggy ride from the main lobby to our villa, where there was a nice tea, fruit, and pastries waiting for us. The hotel is very close to the National park. It’s about a 30 min walk to the south entrance where you can get tickets for the bus that takes you around the park to the hiking trails and bamboo raft trip. Remember to bring your passport. We forgot but our photos were accepted as ID. On our way out, we had some pictures taken on-site. We forgot to book in advance but the staff were very accommodating. We do not speak mandarin at all but we were able to get by with Google translate, WeChat, and some of the staff are English speaking. Overall, the Villas are very nice. The pictures look exactly as shown. A true 5 star. Would highly recommend.

Accommodation: The hotel is in a great location, 3 kilometers from the south entrance of Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area and 6 kilometers from the north entrance. It is suitable for checking in Wuyi Mountain in the morning and evening, and returning to the hotel for a rest at noon. The hotel is a 5-minute walk away from Buzhichunzhai, Juyinjia, and Chongyangxi Promenade. Before May Day, I traveled off-peak, and the hotel upgraded me to a mountain view room with a direct balcony view of Dawang Peak! Food: The breakfast is quite rich, and the handmade noodles at the noodle stall are chewy and delicious. The food at Huayuan Chinese Restaurant on the first floor of Tianfeng Building is better than many Internet celebrity restaurants. I especially recommend Wuyi specialty sauce fish, which is delicious😋. Service: The waiters I met were generally enthusiastic. Special thanks to Wu Qiong. Due to changes in the itinerary, the stay was extended by one day, and he helped coordinate the room in a timely and enthusiastic manner🌹.

From the moment I arrived, the staff’s professionalism and warm hospitality were evident, setting the tone for a luxurious stay. The highlight of my visit was the suite—it was simply amazing! Spacious, elegantly designed, and impeccably clean, the suite exuded luxury in every detail. The panoramic city views from the large windows were breathtaking, both during the day and at night when Fuzhou lights up. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the high-quality amenities, including the rainfall shower and plush bathrobes, added to the indulgence. The dining options at the hotel were also good. The hotel’s location in the heart of the city made it convenient to explore nearby attractions, and the concierge was helpful in providing recommendations and arranging transportation. Overall, my stay at the InterContinental Fuzhou was flawless. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this hotel offers an unparalleled level of comfort and luxury. I can’t wait to return!
