Receptionist asked for our parking ticket, but because of the language barrier I couldnt tell if he was going to offer us a subsidised rate for parking. Also that was after we had already parked in a multi-storey carpark directly beside the hotel. Might be worth asking them where to park beforehand and what the rates are.
very very nice place, highly recommend:
- polite staff
- very cute pets in the hotel
- nice and private hot spring
- hotel near sightseeing places
- very yummy dinner and breakfast
- price ok
- enough parking lots
There are dogs and cats walking around the hotel. Please consider if you don’t like animals.
Miyazaki Prince Smart Inn provides thoughtfully furnished rooms equipped with all the essentials. While the accommodations are well-maintained, the room size is a bit compact, and the parking instructions could be more user-friendly – areas where future enhancements would be welcome. The hotel benefits from a convenient location. Despite these minor points, the experience is worthwhile, offering accommodations with a sensibly designed interior. I look forward to seeing even better service in the future. For travelers who appreciate efficiency and practicality, Miyazaki Prince Smart Inn is a solid choice, offering a comfortable place to unwind. I hope to enjoy an even smoother stay next time.
It's a bit far from the station, but there are buses available. The lady at the counter is pretty and friendly, and you can borrow a scale. Although the room is small, the bed is not bad, it is quite comfortable to sleep in and not expensive
because the room was empty
Upgrade.
I had a shower and a toilet in my room.
I was very grateful.
The outside and appearance of the room were cute and nice place.
Reasonable hotel size
There is private parking
800 yen for overnight stay
Convenient location
The hotel has enough heating
But the pillow is not very comfortable
The hotel is considered new and clean
Worth recommending!
The self check-in and check-out both worked perfectly. The hotel provided clear instructions in advance. The room was fine but a bit scruffy, and there is room for improvement in the cleaning standards. However, it was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. It would have been good if the kitchenette included a microwave.
This home has a driveway guide as soon as you step into the door
When we entered the store, all the service staff knelt down to welcome us.
This hotel may not be welcoming to travelers with limited mobility.
If you can only use a wheelchair, you may damage the tatami.
As for other parts such as accommodation facilities, hot springs, and especially dinner, they were perfect.
This is probably the best beef I've ever eaten in my life.
Apart from the price, I highly recommend this hotel

TTatianaK.From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank all staff of the hotel. My 11-old son and I stayed there for just one night, because we were on our way to visit gorgeous Toungenkyu hydrangeas park in the other town, so we chose to stay in Hyugashi, and that was definitely the right decision! I didn’t know that there was no public transportation assess to the park, because it’s located far upon to the mountains. But I never give up So, I decided to get to the park by hitchhiking! And one of kind managers of the hotel wrote the name of the park in Japanese characters on a big sheet of paper to be seen from far apart for drivers. Besides, he told us where it could be possible to stop a car. So we did it! First, we went to the nearest town by train, and tried the hitching there. There was a nice lady who took us to the park and back to Hyugashi, we were so grateful to her!!! The local people were kind to us everywhere whenever it was a restaurant or a station. We will never forget the kindness of the local people!!!
We liked that izakaya on the first floor in the building. Moreover, we liked that nice quiet town Hyugashi because of its people! We wish you all the best!!!
MMeiDeeFriendly staff and clean lodging.
We booked half board which was worthwhile as the food quality was great and especially when restaurants close early within the area, saved us looking for dinner. However, there are a few time slots we need to abide to, which is fine as attractions usually are closed by late afternoon anyway.
There is onsen in this accommodation, but it's not big. Enclosed onsen with no external views, and the water has some medical component added thus making the water reddish which may deter guests not accustomed to the color.
The Ryokan location is convenient for walking to a few attractions (for those who enjoy walking about 15-30mins to either attraction), which include Takachiho Kagura performance (pre-booking required), Takachiho Gorge, Takachiho Amaterasu Railway - scenic train ride.
Do note the train rides cannot be pre-booked, and end by 3PM in the afternoon.
And Takachiho Gorge Boat Rental should be pre-booked, with time slot bookings open 7 days before.
GGuest UserStayed one night, location is a bit isolated in terms of restaurants and things to do. Definitely an outdated hotel and could do with a renovation, however the room was definitely very large for Japanese standards so the was a plus!(superior queen). If self driving there is a multistory carpark right behind hotel so that’s also a plus.
ヤヤンイーランIt's about 10 minutes away from the city. The location is not great, but the hospitality is excellent and the hotel thinks about the details of its guests. The lounge area from the large public bath and the free drinks there are great, so you can relax and take your time. I think it's worth staying an night just for this hotel. I wish they could extend the bath time a little more in the morning.
Www0401Had a pleasant two nights at your hotel
See the beautiful sunset on Qingdao beach after heavy rain
Visited the Qingdao shrine by the sea and the mysterious ghost shrine washboard
Back to the hotel at night, you can enjoy the authentic Qingdao hot spring open-air wind in the clean and tidy bath.
Hot springs later a matcha ice cream
Listen to the rain at night, in a quiet comic, read comics.
Don't mention how comfortable ~
See that row of original versions of Doraemon, big empty wings, silver soul, NANA ~
After 80, the whole heart of the scorpion is back!
Beautiful breakfast environment, rich and delicious meals
Anyway, I'm happy with everything here.
Had a perfect Japanese travel experience
And I would say more:
Compared to Miyazaki Qingdao
More commendable are the lovely Miyazaki people
Travel around Kyushu
The Miyazaki people are the warmest and most hospitable I have ever seen.
I love the scenery and the lovely people here ~
On the day we arrived at the hotel, we went up the wrong way from the steps to the back door
I just met a young lady who just got off work at the hotel.
When she learned we were wrong
Give us a lead right away.
And took my suitcase.
She even picked up the box intimately on a hilly path
That's how I kept pulling me to the hotel lobby
We just entered the lobby and she left and it was thunderstorming outside.
Miss, it must have rained for us.
I really appreciate it and I'm sorry
After that, the staff service in all aspects of the hotel was very warm and friendly. The whole experience was super good!
I'm leaving Miyazaki this afternoon and taking a cruise to Kobe.
I am very happy to use Miyazaki as the last stop of our trip around Kyushu.
Thank you for your hotel for making our Kyushu trip a very perfect happy ending~

BBel ZTraveling around Japan for two months, Aoshima Fisherman’s Beach Side Hostel & Spa was one of the best single traveler accommodations I stayed at. There is a hot spring club in the hotel. Guests staying here can use the ”Shintoku no Yu-Beauty Hot Spring ♨️” as many times as they want by purchasing a 700 yen ticket from a vending machine until 10 am the next day. The white sulfur spring is very slippery, which is very cost-effective and convenient for those who like to take a bath.
The location is excellent, with a bus stop right at the door and popular attractions such as Aoshima Shrine and Devil's Washboard within walking distance. Qingdao Beach and Surfing Spot are just around the corner, only a few minutes' walk away. There is also a free hot spring shower area next to the beach, which is convenient for surfers or those who want to use it after playing in the water.
The supermarket is just across the street, the convenience store is a few minutes' walk away, there are several restaurants downstairs, and there is a fish market next to it. It is very convenient whether you want to relax or eat delicious food.
The overall environment is very clean and tidy, and the atmosphere is quiet and leisurely, making people feel away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I originally planned to stay for two days, but because I liked it so much, I extended it to a week.
Transportation:
• Take the Nichinan Line from Miyazaki Station to Aoshima Station and walk for about 4-5 minutes.
• Or take a bus (Miyazaki Kotsu) to the ”Aoshima” bus stop and get off there.
The coastal town of Qingdao is sparsely populated, and the whole city rests in peace after sunset in the evening! Highly recommended to friends who like the seaside, hot springs and slow travel.
GGuest UserLocation, parking facility, room cleanliness, breakfast etc everything was almost perfect.
Especially this hotel has indoor onsen bath which is a big plus.
One thing I like to note is that they use the electronic key system on the door of every room
and they provide hotel-issued password printed on the paper. The number combination is 6 digit so it is not easy to memorize.
Therefore you have to always carry your pwd paper with you and if you forget it someone can always open your room easily.
I think hotel needs to let the customer choose their own password combination, so that they do not have to carry the piece of paper.
TTuckFattCleanliness suffered because there was a sewage stench in the room. After the hotel rectification, there was still a faint smell. It became not noticeable after we switched off the bathroom ventilation. The hotel did call post rectification to check on the condition, hence I gave it a 5 for service.
GGuest UserGood location. Within easy walking distance to the beach. Boards can be rented. Unfortunately, a group of travelers did not respect the quiet rule in the sleeping area. It was quite loud for the duration of my stay. I would hope the hostel enforces the rules more strictly in the future.
