They gave us a perfect room for couples. Quiet, cozy, and clean. Breakfast was a highlight!!! The Japanese breakfast buffet was outstanding. Would definitely be happy to visit again.

When I tried to connect my Fire TV Stick to the guest room TV, I was having trouble setting it up because the TV remote was old, so a staff member came to my room and helped me out. I felt that this was the best service ever. Thank you very much. The atmosphere in the breakfast area was great, and the food was excellent. It's definitely worth staying here.

The location is perfect, right outside the station, and the bus stop for Togakushi is just a 2-minute walk away. The facilities are great, and the breakfast is delicious (especially the curry). The room size is acceptable, offering excellent value for money.

The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The incredibly large bathroom, boasting a Japanese-style shower and a big soaking tub, was a delight. The hotel's front desk staff were very friendly, and checking in was a breeze. On the second floor, there's a charming book bar with a wide selection of books. They also offered afternoon tea, coffee, iced water, iced tea, and various tea bags and cookies, which was a very thoughtful touch.

Booked a room here for 1 day just to explore matsumoto. this hotel was a pretty good distance to walk to the tourist attraction such as the matsumoto castle and nawate shopping street. loved that they offered free icecream or ramen between 8:00-10:00 pm. If you ever check out and you still have time before your bus leaves, you can also ask front desk to keep your luggage so you can be luggage free exploring. they were super kind and understanding with all the requests we had.

The room wasn't particularly small. Breakfast on the top floor was good, though it was quite crowded. A dedicated paid parking lot was very convenient. The bedding was comfortable, especially the duvet and pillows.

An old-money style hotel. It's about a ten to fifteen-minute walk from JR station, just past the outlet mall parking lot. The hotel offers a free shuttle mini-bus to the station, running roughly every half hour during the day. We happened to visit during autumn leaf season, and the 'Maple Leaf Onsen' (hot spring) certainly lived up to its name – it was beautiful. We didn't have dinner at the hotel because it required advance booking. There were plenty of dining options at the outlet mall and near the station. The hotel also has a FamilyMart convenience store, and from what I saw, it was well-stocked and very convenient.

**Transportation:** If you're taking the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, the bus drops you off at 'Hinamiyama Kogen' (Hinamiyama Highlands), directly opposite the hotel. You can also catch a bus from the same stop to Shinano-Omachi Station. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance or inquire at the hotel front desk. The hotel also provides a complimentary shuttle service, but please note the earliest departure is at 10:45 AM. **Luggage:** We forwarded our luggage directly from Toyama Station to the hotel. The price for this service has been increasing; as of 2025, it costs ¥4000 per piece. **Environment and Room:** We were assigned a twin room on the 2nd floor. It was very spacious and comfortable, featuring a small balcony with a lovely forest view. **Onsen (Hot Springs):** There are both indoor and outdoor baths, though neither is particularly large. After a tiring journey up and down the mountain, soaking in the hot springs was wonderfully refreshing and relieved all our fatigue. **Breakfast:** The breakfast spread offered congee, rice balls, and local Shinshu-specialty vegetable buns, alongside a variety of standard breakfast items, fresh fruit, and bread. **Power Adapters:** This hotel did not provide three-prong to two-prong power adapters. Interestingly, other hotels I've stayed at in Japan typically had them available.

Very clean, looks like a relatively new building or newly renovated Toyoko Inn. Good breakfast with a beautiful view of the alps from the top floor. 10 minute walk to the train station, which is not bad. Unfortunately we didn’t know we had to call to reserve parking, but the parking attendant was nice about it and directed us to a different public lot. I read signs saying that parking will change to first come first serve basis in May. Happy with our stay

Dormy Inn Nagano Zenko-no-Yu Natural Hot Spring Hotel is just a 5-minute walk from JR Nagano Station. For those using Google Maps, it might suggest a detour via a bus stop, but there's no need to go around – simply cross the road from the station exit and you'll spot it. This hotel is ideal for anyone looking to stay close to Nagano Station. Downstairs, you'll find plenty of dining options, including izakayas. The hotel features a natural hot spring (onsen) and a sauna. Upstairs, there are two massage chairs and a full wall of manga books. Guests can enjoy complimentary chocolate-dipped ice cream bars and popsicles, with lactic acid drinks available in the morning. Don't miss the free late-night ramen served from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. The rooms and beds are on the smaller side, but we still had enough space to open two large suitcases. Self-check-in by scanning passports was super convenient. The mini-fridge came stocked with local jelly snacks and two complimentary bottles of water. However, I wouldn't recommend it for guests with extremely high hygiene standards, as there were some minor stains on the toilet and chairs, though it didn't significantly impact our stay. Despite this, the overall service and design were quite impressive and a pleasant surprise.
